Will Beatty expected to be ready for 2014 opener

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/31/2013) Giants left tackle Will Beatty, who broke his leg in the Week 17 win over Washington, is expected to be ready for the start of next season, reports the New York Daily News. Beatty, 28, has four years left on his contract.

Giants try another combination on offensive line

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/26/2013) With center David Baas (knee) and tackle David Diehl (thumb) still sidelined, the Giants continue to tinker with their offensive line. On Monday they trotted out Kevin Boothe at center in place of Jim Cordle, reports ESPN.com.

James Brewer moved to left guard, while rookie Justin Pugh remained at right tackle, the report said. Right guard Chris Snee and left tackle Will Beatty stayed put.

Coach Tom Coughlin said nothing is set in stone. "We’ll try different combinations," he said. "Nothing wrong with that, I hope."
