(9/24/2014) The Raiders announced Wednesday they claimed safety Brandian Ross off waivers from the Dolphins. To clear a roster spot, safety Tyvon Branch (foot) was placed on injured reserve.

(9/24/2014) Raiders safety Tyvon Branch needs foot surgery and will be placed on injured reserve, sources told NFL.com. Branch will undergo surgery for a Jones fracture in his foot, and the operation will be performed by Dr. Robert Anderson.

Tyvon Branch breaks his foot

(9/21/2014) Raiders defensive back Tyvon Branch broke his foot in the second half Week 3 at New England and will be out for an extended period of time. According to ESPN, the injury could even cost him the rest of the season.

Even though he left early, Branch still led the team with 10 tackles, including seven solo, putting him in double digits for the second time in three games. He played in only two games last season, missing much of the year with an ankle injury.

Tyvon Branch suffers ankle injury in preseason game

(8/16/2014) Raiders safety Tyvon Branch suffered an ankle injury during Friday's preseason game against the Lions, according to the Bay Area News Group.

Branch was limited to two games last year because of a fractured fibula suffered earlier in the season. He will be evaluated leading up to the third preseason game next Friday against Green Bay.

Among those who are not active for Sunday's game, only linebacker Kaluka Maiava (ribs) and offensive lineman Matt McCants (toe) had not already been ruled out.

(10/25/2013) There were no surprises on the injury report submitted by the Raiders on Friday. As expected, safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) has been ruled out for the game Sunday against Washington.

Offensive linemen Tony Pashos (hip), Andre Gurode (quad) and Menelik Watson (calf) are doubtful, but starting center Stefen Wisniewski (knee) is probable.

Rounding out the list are linebacker Kaluka Maiava, who is questionable with a hamstring injury, and cornerback Tracy Porter, who is probable with a shoulder ailment.

(10/16/2013) Raiders strong safety Tyvon Branch has shed the crutches and walking boot he was using to recover from an ankle injury, according to CSNCalifornia.com. He has missed the last four games.

Branch has not practiced since sustaining the injury. His status for this week or possible return to game action have yet to be announced.
