News: The Rams made more roster moves before Monday mornings practice. They signed former 49ers OL Tony Wragge and former Cardinals TE Stephen Spach. Released were OL Hank Fraley and undrafted rookie TE Ben Guidugli .
Analysis: Both TEs in the transaction are not expected to make a significant Fantasy impact at any point in 2011. Avoid them in all formats until further notice.
News: The Cardinals made some roster moves on Monday, highlighted by the official signing of RB Chester Taylor. The team also claimed CB Crezdon Butler from the Steelers and CB Korey Lindsey from the waivers. To make room for the additions, the team released TE Stephan Spach, LB Quan Sturdivant and DE Ronald Talley.
Analysis: None of the players who were released were expected to start for Arizona, so they had minimal Fantasy value even if they made the team. Keep an eye on where they land, though they won't make a big impact in any league this year.
News: It's been a few weeks, but Arizona TE Stephen Spach finally made another catch. He caught the one pass thrown his way in Week 14 against Denver. Spach's 9-yard reception gave him six catches on the year.
Analysis: Spach doesn't catch many passes and hasn't had more than one grab in a game this season. The Cardinals face the Panthers tough pass defense in Week 15, which means Spach should remain on waivers.
News: For a fourth straight game, Arizona TE Stephen Spach made a catch. He was targeted once in Week 10 against Seattle. He caught that pass for 14 yards. He now has four catches 24 yards over his last four games.
Analysis: Spach may be on a streak, but he's not doing enough to be considered a Fantasy option. The Cardinals face the Chiefs in Week 11, but Fantasy owners should leave Spach on waivers. He's not worth using in any format.
News: Arizona TE Stephen Spach had his second straight game with a catch and 3 yards receiving. He was targeted just once in Week 8 against Tampa Bay and made the most of it.
Analysis: Before Week 7, Spach didn't have any yards receiving, but has 6 yards over his past two weeks. With the team traveling to Minnesota in Week 9, Fantasy owners should not feel the need to pick up Spach in any format.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach entered Week 7 against the Seahawks with one catch on the year for no yards. He finally got some yardage as he hauled in one catch for 3 yards in the 22-10 loss. Spach was targeted two times in the defeat.
Analysis: Spach had his best game of the year on Sunday, which tells Fantasy owners all they need to know about the the former Bulldog. Continue to ignore him in all leagues heading into Week 8 against the Buccaneers.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach started Week 1 against the Rams but did not see too many passes thrown his way. The 28-year-old was targeted just twice in the game and finished with zero catches.
Analysis: Spach's 6-4, 260 pound frame makes him a a big target but his expertise lines in the blocking game. He has just 13 career receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown. Fantasy owners should ignore Spach in all leagues.
News: Just as Cardinals TE Anthony Becht (back) returned to practice Monday morning, TE Dominique Byrd went down with a hamstring injury and is day-to-day. The Cards also expected rookie TE Jim Dray (quad) to practice Monday afternoon -- his first practice since camp opened. Amid all the injuries to TEs in this camp, coach Ken Whisenhunt found a positive. "We've gotten to see a healthy Stephen Spach," he said of the oft-injured TE. "He's really looked good."
Analysis: None of the Cardinals tight ends have much Fantasy value this season. Ignore them all on Draft Day in 2010.
News: The Cardinals re-signed tight ends Anthony Becht and Stephen Spach to one-year contracts. The 6-foot-6 Becht had seven catches for 61 yards and one touchdown last season, his first with Arizona. The 11-year NFL veteran has played in 152 consecutive games, the third-longest streak among offensive players behind Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. Spach, signed by the Cardinals as a free agent in October 2008, had four catches for 38 yards last season.
Analysis: Neither of these players are expected to produce many stats in the first place. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach totaled one catch for 22 yards during a Week 17 loss to the Packers. It was his first catch since Week 3 against the Colts.
Analysis: Spach has only 13 career receptions in 34 games. He doesn't even dress on a regular basis. Spach got some mop-up play in Week 17 and won't be a factor in Fantasy on Draft Day 2010.
News: Arizona TE Stephen Spach, TE Anthony Becht and WR Jerheme Urban all went without stats in the Week 16 win over the Rams.
Analysis: None of these players contributes enough statistically to have significant Fantasy appeal. Leave them all on waivers for Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers.
News: The Cardinals listed the following players as inactive for Week 15 at Detroit: QB Brian St. Pierre, K Neil Rackers, LB Reggie Walker, LB Will Davis, TE Stephen Spach, WR Jerhame Urban.
Analysis: Outside of Rackers, none of the players listed have any real Fantasy appeal. They should be reserved in all leagues until further notice.
News: The Arizona Cardinals official team site has announced the team's inactives for the Monday night game in Week 14 in San Francisco. The inactives are as follows: 3rd QB Brian St. Pierre, CB Greg Toler, LB Reggie Walker, LB Will Davis (knee), TE Stephen Spach and WR Jerheme Urban.

News: The Cardinals' list of inactives for Week 13 against the Vikings includes QB Brian St. Pierre, DB Greg Toler, LB Reggie Walker, LB Will Davis, TE Stephen Spach and WR Jerheme Urban.

News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach, TE Anthony Becht, RB Jason Wright, RB Dan Kreider, WR Jerheme Urban and QB Matt Leinart all dressed but failed to record an offensive stat for Week 10 vs. Seattle.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves for the Cardinals and hardly contribute on offense. Continue to keep them reserved in Fantasy heading into Week 11 against the Rams.
News: The Cardinals listed the following players as inactive for Week 9 at Chicago: QB Brian St. Pierre, DB Rashad Johnson, LB Gerald Hayes, WR Anquan Boldin, TE Stephen Spach, TE Dominique Byrd.
Analysis: Aside from Boldin, none of the players listed are expected to have any Fantasy appeal this season. Leave them on the waiver wire in all leagues until further notice.
News: The following players are inactive for the Arizona Cardinals for their Sunday night game at the Giants in Week 7: QB Brian St. Pierre (3rd QB), S Rashad Johnson, LB Reggie Walker, WR Early Doucet, TE Stephen Spach and TE Dominique Byrd.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves or special teams contributors when active. They have little to no Fantasy appeal. Keep them reserved Week 7.
News: Arizona TE Stephen Spach has been ruled out of the team's Week 7 game at the Giants with an ankle injury.
Analysis: Spach is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Cardinals QB Brian St. Pierre, DB Greg Toler, DB Rashad Johnson, LB Reggie Walker, TE Stephen Spach and TE Dominique Byrd have all been ruled inactive for Week 6 at Seattle.
Analysis: There are no real surprise inactives for the Cardinals. Most of these players are reserves or special teams contributors when active. They have little to no Fantasy appeal. Keep them reserved Week 6.
News: Arizona TE Stephen Spach has been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game at Seattle.
Analysis: Spach does not do enough statistically to be relevant in Fantasy and can continue to be ignored.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach had two catches for 9 yards Sunday against the Colts.
Analysis: The Cardinals don't use the TE much, so Spach has minimal Fantasy value in all leagues. Ignore him when the Cardinals return from their bye in Week 4. They play Houston in Week 5.
News: Arizona TE Stephen Spach caught one pass for 7 yards Week 2 in a win over the Jaguars. He did not make a catch Week 1 against the 49ers.
Analysis: Spach will often go without stats for the Cardinals as he's the No. 2 option behind Anthony Becht. Leave him on waivers in all leagues for Week 3 at home against the Colts.
News: Just about every position is set as the Arizona Cardinals wind down training camp. The tight end though? Not even close. Five players are vying for the spot with no one distancing himself from the pack so far. Stephen Spach was working with the first team on Monday, with Ben Patrick on the second and Leonard Pope on the third. Anthony Becht and Dominique Byrd are also in the mix. But things can change in a hurry. "That's a battle. It's a contested battle," coach Ken Whisenhunt said Tuesday. "We've got three more preseason games and practices to find out and we'll make our decision at that point."
Analysis: The Cardinals might end the preseason with four of these guys on the roster as Ben Patrick will be suspended to start the year. Pope has long had potential to be a sleeper for Fantasy purposes, but with the Cardinals' receivers playing such a huge role in the offense, the tight end only sees a handful of yards each week. Whomever is the Cardinals' starting tight end isn't worth owning in Fantasy play.
News: The Arizona Republic reports Cardinals TE Anthony Becht wants to start for the team this year. There are five tight ends on the roster: Ben Patrick, Leonard Pope, Stephen Spach, Alex Schor and Becht, a 10-year veteran who joined the team as a free agent. Patrick and Pope split time as the starter for much of the season, though they battled through injuries and inconsistency. Spach joined the team late in the year and became the starter, only to suffer torn knee ligaments in a Jan. 10 playoff win over Carolina. Schor spent the year on the practice squad. But now there is Becht, who at 6-feet-5, 280 pounds, is a big target and a strong blocker. "I can still catch, I can still run, but my view is Coach (Whisenhunt) wants to get the running game going," said Becht. "For whatever reason, they didn't run the ball that well last year and it still worked out all right, but you definitely need a balance and I'm hoping I can help with that."
Analysis: Becht's best season came in 2003, when he caught 40 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns for the Jets. Still, Becht isn't going to catch many passes in this offense. Even if he wins the job ahead of Pope or the other players competing, ignore Becht in all leagues. Only Pope would have minimal Fantasy value if he's named the starter.
News: Cardinals starting TE Stephen Spach is out for the playoffs with a torn knee ligament. Spach tore his right anterior cruciate ligament while blocking in the second half of Saturday night's 33-13 victory over Carolina. He was signed as a free agent on Oct. 28 to shore up the injury-depleted position and became a starter against San Francisco on Nov. 10. His blocking helped the team's improved running game, and he had a game-clinching 23-yard catch on a third-and-16 situation late in Arizona's 30-24 wild-card victory over Atlanta.
Analysis: Spach wasn't productive enough to warrant Fantasy use, so this injury shouldn't impact anyone.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach, TE Leonard Pope and WR Sean Morey did not record an offensive statistic in Week 16 at New England.
Analysis: None of the players listed above have a chance to produce significant Fantasy totals and for that reason should be left on the waiver wire in all leagues until further notice.
News: Cardinals TE Stephen Spach, RB Tim Castille, WR Early Doucet, TE Leonard Pope and WR Sean Morey did not record an offensive statistic in Week 15 against Minnesota.
Analysis: None of the players listed above have a chance to produce significant Fantasy totals and for that reason should be left on the waiver wire in all leagues until further notice.
News: Cardinals RB Terrelle Smith, RB Tim Castille, TE Stephen Spach, WR Sean Morey and QB Matt Leinart all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 11 at Arizona.
Analysis: Most of these players are reserves for the Cardinals and play a marginal role on offense when active. Continue to keep them off Fantasy rosters or reserved in deeper formats until further notice. Arizona hosts the Giants Week 12.
News: Cardinals TE Leonard Pope, RB Terrelle Smith, RB Tim Castille, TE Stephen Spach, WR Sean Morey and QB Matt Leinart all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 10 vs. San Francisco.
Analysis: Pope is the only starter among the list of players that didn't factor Week 10. Still, he doesn't see a lot of passes thrown his way and has as much Fantasy value as the other players -- little to none. Make sure to keep all of these players reserved heading into Week 11 against the Seahawks.
News: Cardinals TE Jerame Tuman, FB Tim Castille, TE Stephen Spach, WR Sean Morey, RB Edgerrin James and QB Matt Leinart all dressed for Arizona's Week 9 win over the Rams, but did not record an offensive stat.
Analysis: James is the only one in this group with any Fantasy value. None of these other guys have any Fantasy value.
News: The Cardinals signed tight end Stephen Spach to a one-year contract Tuesday and released safety Oliver Celestin. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Spach appeared in the first two games this season for the Patriots as a reserve before being released on Sept. 15. Celestin, a five-year NFL veteran from Texas Southern, played in two games for Arizona this season.
Analysis: Neither of these players were or are expected to produce significant stats on a regular basis to begin with. Keep them off of Fantasy rosters until further notice.
News: The Patriots have re-signed FE Kyle Eckel and have released TE Stephen Spach.
Analysis: Neither of these players have any Fantasy value, so continue to ignore them in all formats.
News: Patriots WR Kelley Washington, WR Matt Slater, TE Stephen Spach and QB Kevin O'Connel all dressed, but failed to record an offensive stat Week 2 against the Jets.
Analysis: Most of these players are either reserves, play on special teams or aren't an integral part of the Patriots' offense. They have little to no Fantasy value heading into Week 3 against the Dolphins.
News: Patriots WR Matt Slater and TE Stephen Spach were active and dressed but did not record a stat vs. Kansas City in Week 1.
Analysis: Neither of these players are expected to produce significant stats on a regular basis to begin with. Keep these players off of Fantasy rosters until further notice.
News: The Patriots re-signed tight end Stephen Spach on Thursday, three days after releasing him. They also cut tight end Jason Pociask, who was signed to take Spach's spot on the roster. Pociask, who had been released by the Jets last week, was not at Thursday's workout and the team announced his release after it began. Spach played three games for the Patriots after signing Dec. 13. Pociask has played in four games, all last season with the Jets.
Analysis: Neither of these players are expected to produce significant stats on a regular basis to begin with. Keep these players off of Fantasy rosters until further notice.
News: The Patriots released TE Stephen Spach on Monday after claiming tight end Jason Pociask from the New York Jets off waivers.
Analysis: Spach has just seven receptions for 42 yards in his career and hasn't seen a reception since 2005 with the Eagles. It's still safe to ignore him in Fantasy.
News: Patriots backup QB Matt Gutierrez, WR Kelley Washington, FB Kyle Eckel, RB Heath Evans, WR Troy Brown, TE Stephen Spach and third QB Matt Cassel all dressed for New England's 28-7 win over the Dolphins in Week 16, but didn't record an offensive stat. Brown did fumble a punt return, however.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value at this time. Ignore them in Week 17 against the Giants.
News: With Benjamin Watson and Kyle Brady nursing ankle injuries, newly-acquired Stephen Spach could start at TE for the New England Patriots in Week 16 against the Dolphins.
Analysis: Spach played almost half the snaps in Sunday's win over the Jets, but he was primarily used as a blocker and wasn't targeted by Tom Brady in the game. He has minimal Fantasy value this deep into the Fantasy season and shouldn't be relied upon in Week 16.
News: Patriots FB Kyle Eckel, WR Kelley Washington, TE Kyle Brady, TE Stephen Spach and backup QB Matt Cassel are among those Patriots that didn't record statistics Week 15 against the Jets.
Analysis: These players rarely contribute enough statistically to have value in Fantasy. With the exception of Cassel, whom Tom Brady owners might want to grab as injury insurance, leave all on waivers for Week 16 vs. Miami.
News: The Patriots signed free-agent TE Stephen Spach on Thursday, according to the Boston Globe. The second-year player out of Fresno State has played in 13 career games, all with the Eagles in 2005. He was with the Vikings in training camp this year but was cut before the season began.
Analysis: Spach will likely backup Kyle Brady if Benjamin Watson (ankle) isn't able to play in Week 15 against the Jets. Spach has no Fantasy value at this time, but it wouldn't surprise us if he ended up catching a touchdown if he is active.
News: The Minnesota Vikings released 22 players on Saturday to reduce their roster to the regular-season limit of 53: S Greg Blue, S Patrick Body, DT Conrad Bolston, WR Jason Carter, C/G Kyle Cook, CB Dovonte Edwards, RB Ciatrick Fason, DT Howard Green, LB George Hall, WR Cortez Hankton, LB David Herron, CB Chad Johnson, C Norm Katnik, T Jimmy Martin, WR Billy McMullen, WR Martin Nance, TE Richard Owens, RB Artose Pinner, DE Khreem Smith, TE Stephen Spach, QB Tyler Thigpen and WR Chandler Williams.
Analysis: None of these players should be owned in Fantasy play at this time. Keep them on the waiver wire until further notice. They may or may not sign on with another team.
News: The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that the Vikings were planning on signing FB Naufahu Tahi from the Bengals practice squad to their roster when they placed FB Tony Richardson (forearm). The Vikings reportedly also tried out other fullbacks, including Fred Beasley, Nick Luchey, Alan Ricard, Stephen Spach and Chris Manderino.
Analysis: Nobody listed above is worth owning in Fantasy leagues that don't specifically start fullbacks.
News: On Saturday, the Eagles waived quarterback Timmy Chang, linebackers Dedrick Roper and Torrance Daniels, wide receivers Michael Gasperson, Bill Sampy and Justin Jenkins, defensive end Darrell Lee, defensive tackle Keyonta Marshall, tight ends Stephen Spach and Andy Thorn and cornerback Donald Strickland.
Analysis: None of these players were going to have any Fantasy value in 2006. That won't change even if they were to land elsewhere in the near future. Ignore them.
News: Stephen Spach recorded seven receptions for 42 yards as a reserve tight end in Philadelphia this season.
Analysis: Spach will have no value in 2006 drafts.
News: Stephen Spach was active and dressed in Week 16 but failed to record any offensive stats.
Analysis: Stephen Spach is not a viable Fantasy option at this point.
News: TE Stephen Spach (foot) is listed as probable for Monday's game against Seattle.
Analysis: Spach doesn't do enough to warrant Fantasy consideration.
News: Stephen Spach was inactive for Week 12 vs. Green Bay.
Analysis: Stephen Spach should not be on any Fantasy rosters because he bounces in and out of the practice squad.
News: The Philadelphia Daily News reports Eagles TE Stephen Spach (foot) did not practice Friday and is questionable for Week 10. Spach may not be able to play and will be a gametime decision.
Analysis: Spach has no Fantasy value.
News: Stephen Spach (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Analysis: He has no value in Fantasy Football as long as L.J. Smith is healthy.
News: TE Stephen Spach got his most extensive playing time last week against the Chiefs as the Eagles used a lot of two-TE sets to protect injured QB Donovan McNabb. They'll likely do the same thing this week against Dallas.
Analysis: Spach doesn't figure prominently enough in the Eagles offense to be worth your Fantasy consideration right now.
