(3/16/2010) The Cleveland Browns have re-signed tight end Greg Estandia and defensive back Ray Ventrone. Estandia was claimed off waivers in September from Jacksonville. The 6-foot-8 Estandia made four catches for 45 yards in four games last season. Ventrone played mostly on special teams after signing with the Browns as a free agent in September.
(9/16/2009) Browns coach Eric Mangini continued his roster makeover, signing free agent wide receiver Ray Ventrone and waiving defensive back DeAngelo Smith. Mangini coached Ventrone with New England in 2005. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Ventrone is expected to play on Cleveland's special teams.
(3/17/2009) The Patriots have re-signed four players, including reserve defensive lineman Mike Wright. The 27-year-old Wright became an unrestricted free agent after playing in all 16 games last season, including two starts at defensive end in place of an injured Ty Warren. In addition to Wright, the Patriots announced Monday they had reached new deals with safeties Tank Williams and Ray Ventrone. Williams signed with New England as a free agent before the 2008 season but had a season-ending knee injury in the team's first preseason game.
(8/25/2008) In his first three seasons, Raymond Ventrone got into just four games for the New England Patriots. Now the defensive back is also a wide receiver, and he's hoping that might help him get on the field more. Ventrone is still far down on the depth chart at both positions, but his ability to handle them should help his bid to earn a spot on the roster that gets cut to 75 players on Tuesday before the final cut to 53 on Saturday. "Where would I want to play? Wherever they ask me," Ventrone said Monday. "It doesn't matter to me. I enjoy doing everything and I think that they see that, too."

He also had four rushes for 22 yards, three punt returns for 76 yards and a 21-yard kickoff return. Eddie Jackson was signed as a free agent in March after spending the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Carolina Panthers in 2004. Both have been practicing with the team.
