Cards offensive coordinator excited about O-line

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/10/2014) The addition of Jared Veldheer and the return of left guard Jonathan Cooper should make life easier for the Cardinals when they game plan versus opponents this season. Offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin admits that the right side of the line will involve a competition but overall he anticipates a huge jump in efficiency for the front five

" ... [T]he world knows we're looking to put the right side together. There is going to be great competition between Paul Fanaika and Ted Larsen and Earl (Watford)," Goodwin told the Arizona Republic. "Then you have Bobby (Massie), Bradley (Sowell) and along with Nate (Potter). The competition is going to be great and there is still the possibility of the draft, but who knows? It wasn't a great offensive line year last year, but the guys played consistently together and they got better as they went along."

Cardinals make OL changes in wake of rookie's injury

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(8/27/2013) Cardinals coach Bruce Arians announced Monday his plans for the offensive line in the wake of Jonathan Cooper's leg injury, which will keep him out for most of the 2013 season. Arians said Daryn Colledge, who moved to right guard after Cooper was drafted, will revert back to the left side and Paul Fanaika will replace Colledge on the right side.

"That’s a natural fit," Arians said of moving Colledge, per NFL.com. "I like it more that Paul has played right guard so we’re only moving one player. You never want to move two. And I like the fact that Paul has played extremely well the whole time."
