Report: Giants place two receivers on IR

(8/30/2014) The Giants have placed wide receiver Mario Manningham and Trindon Holliday on injured reserve, per Yahoo! Sports.

Manningham has been dealing with ongoing knee problems that limited him to six games, including three starts, in 2013. Holliday, who doubles as a kick returner, missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury.

The following players will sit out Sunday: defensive end Robert Ayers, linebacker Jon Beason, offensive tackle Will Beatty, wide receiver Odell Beckham, tight end Xavier Grimble, guard Eric Herman, wide receiver Trindon Holliday, corner back Bennett Jackson, cornerback Trumaine McBride, defensive tackle Mike Patterson, linebacker Spencer Paysinger and running back David Wilson.

Tom Coughlin excited about Trindon Holliday

(4/3/2014) Giants coach Tom Coughlin is excited about new acquisition Trindon Holliday, who returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns last season with Denver.

"When you sit down and talk about this guy’s track speed, are you serious?" Coughlin told the team's website. "He runs 100 meters in 9.98 (seconds) or whatever the heck he ran. It’s fun to think about. Go ahead, outkick the coverage, please do. Not only for kickoff returns, but for punt returns."

Coughlin, however, said Holliday must take better care of the ball or he won't get opportunities. He fumbled five times last year, losing two.


Trindon Holliday signs one-year deal with Giants

(3/17/2014) Free agent receiver/kick returner Trindon Holliday signed a one-year contract with the Giants on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk.

Holliday returned 32 punts for 271 yards and a touchdown and fielded 28 kickoffs for 775 yards and another score (105 yards) last season with the Broncos. Holliday also had five fumbles, losing two of them.

(3/7/2014) A report says the Broncos will let kick returner Trindon Holliday test free agency this spring. ProFootballTalk.com reports the team will not tender him as a restricted free agent. 

Last year Holliday returned 32 punts for 271 yards and a touchdown and fielded 28 kickoffs for 775 yards and another score (105 yards). Holliday had five fumbles, losing two of them. 


Trindon Holliday still upset with Texans

"You always have a chip on your shoulder when you get released or cut from the team," Holliday said. "You shouldn't show it. You just have to prove to the guys that you're able to do it. I don't think it's a rebirth. I think it's just coming to another team, just starting all over again."

Among them are running back C.J. Anderson (illness), wide receiver Trindon Holliday (shoulder), tight end Joel Dreessen (knee) and offensive linemen Chris Kuper (ankle), J.D. Walton (ankle) and Winston Justice (finger).

The defensive probables are backs Omar Bolden (shoulder), David Bruton (shoulder) and Mike Adams (thumb) and end Malik Jackson (knee).

Bailey is dealing with a fott injury, but was able to take part in full practice Thursday and Friday. Holliday was unable to practice until Friday, and was limited.

Broncos get key contributors in Week 8 win

(10/27/2013) The Broncos received minor contributions from several key role players during Sunday's win over the Redskins in Week 8.

In the running game, C.J. Anderson got on the field for his first game of the season, racking up 22 yards on four carries. Wide receiver Trindon Holliday lined up in the backfield and broke for a 7-yard run in the second quarter for his only action of the day.

Wide receiver Andre Caldwell caught a 14-yard pass from Peyton Manning for his only catch of the day despite receiving two targets. Tight end Jacob Tamme also caught his only targeted pass for a gain of 15 yards. Tight end Virgil Green was held without a catch despite earning a target.

Broncos DST feasts on Eli Manning

(9/15/2013) The Broncos DST enjoyed itself against the Giants, picking off Eli Manning four times and getting Trindon Holliday's 81-yard punt return for a touchdown. Chris Harris, Tony Carter, Rahim Moore and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie all had interceptions, and linebacker Danny Trevathan added a sack.

Denver allowed 23 rushing yards on 19 carries, a paltry 1.2 yards per rush, and forced Manning into difficult down-and-distance situations.

The Broncos DST has another tasty matchup in Week 3 when the Raiders visit on Monday Night Football.
