Cowboys unveil lengthy injury report for Colts game

(12/19/2014) The Cowboys have listed 11 players on its final injury report for Sunday's game against Indianapolis. Defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf, personal) and outside linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) were ruled out for the game. Tackle Doug Free (ankle) is doubtful, and guard Zack Martin (ankle) and running back DeMarco Murray (hand) are questionable.

Meanwhile, the following players were labeled probable: Strong safety Jeff Heath (thumb), middle linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive back Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), quarterback Tony Romo (back), defensive end George Selvie (thumb) and quarterback Brandon Weeden (personal).

(12/14/2014) The Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 15 game against the Eagles: defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), quarterback Dustin Vaughan, tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins, defensive end Kenneth Boatright and defensive back Jakar Hamilton.

Heath was doubtful to play Sunday while Watson had previously been ruled out. The team will have all seven players listed as probable active, including quarterback Tony Romo (back), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), safety Jeff Heath (thumb) and defensive ends Demarcus Lawrence (chest), Jeremy Mincey (not injury related) and George Selvie (thumb).

(12/12/2014) The Cowboys enter Week 15 relatively healthy with seven of nine players on its final injury report deemed probable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. Those players include safety Jeff Heath (thumb), defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence (chest), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee), defensive end Jeremy Mincey (personal), defensive back Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), quarterback Tony Romo (back) and defensive end George Selvie (thumb).

Linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) was ruled out and defensive tackle Josh Brent (calf) was deemed as doubtful.

Romo was fully expected to suit up and play after being listed as probable on the team's final Week 14 injury report Tuesday. The Cowboys' other probables are also active Thursday, including wide receiver Terrance Williams (finger), defensive ends George Selvie (thumb) and Tyrone Crawford (knee), defensive tackle Nick Hayden (shoulder), linebacker Rolando McClain (knee) and offensive tackles Tyron Smith (illness) and Doug Free (foot).

(9/21/2014) The Cowboys have made the following players inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Rams: linebackers Justin Durant (groin) and LB Rolando McClain (groin), defensive linemen Anthony Spencer (knee) and DT Davon Coleman (knee), quarterback Dustin Vaughan, cornerback Tyler Patmon and offensive lineman Donald Hawkins.

McClain was doubtful to play in Week 3 with his injury, while Durant, Spencer and Coleman had already been ruled out. Wide receiver Dez Bryant (shoulder), running back Joseph Randle (concussion), tight end Gavin Escobar (knee) and defensive end Lavar Edwards (knee) are active after being listed as questionable. Quarterback Tony Romo (back), guard Zack Martin (foot), defensive end George Selvie (shoulder) and defensive tackle Ken Bishop (illness) are all active after being listed as probable.


Cowboys rule out 3 on defense for Week 3

(9/19/2014) The Cowboys ruled out three players from the defensive side of the ball for Week 3 against the Rams, based on Friday's injury report.

Defensive linemen Anthony Spencer (knee) was unable to practice Friday after being limited earlier in the week, and will not play in Sunday's game. He will be joined on the sidelined by Davon Coleman (knee) and Justin Durant (groin), both of whom were unable to practice during the week.

Additionally, linebacker Rolando McClain (groin) is doubtful after missing the entire week. Defensive lineman Lavar Edwards (knee) is questionable, while George Selvie (shoulder) and Ken Bishop (illness) are both probable for the game and expected to play.

Romo was probable heading into the game, and was always expected to play. Williams was questionable due to a back injury, but will give it a go.

Zack Martin, who was aslo questionable, will attempt to play. George Selvie will play as well. He was probable heading into the game.

Defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) and tackle Darrion Weems (shoulder) were both ruled out. Deemed questionable were guard Zack Martin (foot), defensive tackle Terrell McClain and Terrance Williams (back). Quarterback Tony Romo (back) and defensive end George Selvie (shoulder) were the only players ruled probable for Sunday.

George Selvie's shoulder issue expected to be minor

(8/25/2014) Cowboys defensive end George Selvie suffered a shoulder injury in the team's latest preseason game, but the issue isn't expected to keep him out long, DallasCowboys.com reports.

"We don’t think it’s too, too serious," head coach Jason Garrett said. "We probably will keep him out of contact here for the next few days, but we don’t think it’s going to be too long for him."

The Cowboys have been decimated by front-seven injuries this offseason and preseason.


George Selvie exits game with shoulder injury

(7/30/2014) With rookie Demarcus Lawrence expected to miss 8-12 weeks with a fractured foot, the Cowboys are thin at defensive end. Jeremy Mincey and George Selvie are running with the first team, and Martez Wilson and rookie Ben Gardner could get into the mix, reports the Dallas Morning News.

Dallas hopes Anthony Spencer can return from his microfracture surgery. He's currently on the PUP list.

George Selvie a rare defensive stalwart against Green Bay

(12/16/2013) Defensive end George Selvie was one player who can't be blamed for the monumental collapse of his Cowboys Sunday against the Packers. He did a little bit of everything to prevent it.

Selvie finished tied for the team lead with six tackles, including five solos. He added a sack, led Dallas with two TFLs and recorded a quarterback hit.
