Jaguars announce Tyson Alualu signing

(3/8/2015) The Jaguars announced Sunday that the team has re-signed defensive lineman Tyson Alualu.

Alualu was reported to have a two-year deal for $6 million with the team Saturday. The former first-round pick recorded 30 tackles and two sacks in 2014.

(3/7/2015) The Jaguars have reached a two-year agreement with defensive end Tyson Alualu on Saturday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He will make $6 million over two seasons with $4.25 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Alualu, 27, registered 30 tackles and two sacks last season. He received negative overall ratings from Pro Football Focus in 2014. The former first-round pick has 195 tackles and 13 sacks in his five-year run with the Jags.

Report: Jaguars continue talks with Tyson Alualu, J.T. Thomas

(3/2/2015) The Jaguars have continued contract talks with defensive end Tyson Alualu and linebacker J.T. Thomas, the Florida Times-Union reports.

The team has yet to decide whether to tender any of its restricted free agents. Both Alualu and Thomas received negative overall ratings from Pro Football Focus in 2014.

(11/17/2013) Jaguars defensive end Tyson Alualu (elbow), cornerback Alan Ball (ankle), defensive end Andre Branch (neck), defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks (ankle) and defensive tackle Roy Miller (shoulder) were all cleared to play Week 11 vs. Arizona. All five players were listed as probable.

Probables dominate Jaguars injury report

(11/15/2013) The Jaguars list 12 players on their Friday injury report, but eight are probable.

Among them are defensive tackle Tyson Alualu (elbow), defensive end Andre Branch (neck), wide receivers Cecil Shorts (groin) and Mike Brown (ankle), running back Maurice Jones-Drew (knee), defensive tackles Roy Miller (shoulder) and Sen'Derrick Marks (ankle) and tight end Danny Noble (hamstring).

Offensive lineman Will Rackley (head) is doubtful while linebacker Paul Posluszny (concussion) is questionable.


Tyson Alualu picks up a sack

(9/29/2013) Jaguars defensive lineman Tyson Alualu recorded a sack Week 4 against the Colts, taking down quarterback Andrew Luck in the second quarter. It was his only tackle on the day.

Alualu now has 1 1/2 sacks this season after recording 3 1/2 last season.

(4/18/2013) Jaguars defensive tackle Tyson Alualu and defensive end Andre Branch sat out practice Thursday with injuries suffered in previous minicamp workouts. Alualu has an abdominal issue while Branch hurt his groin. Neither ailment is considered serious.
