Massaquoi could be slot guy

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/15/2013) The Florida Times-Union reports that Jaguars receiver Mohamed Massaquoi’s best chance to play this season will come at the slot position since the Jaguars have Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon locked in as their starters. In his last two games for Cleveland last year, Massaquoi played 19 of his 39 snaps against Kansas City and Washington in the slot or inside as part of a bunch formation. “It’s weird because the slot is a world of difference than the outside,” he said. “But I’m comfortable playing either one.” Massaquoi and Jordan Shipley are expected to compete for playing time in the slot.

Jaguars take chance on Massaquoi

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/5/2013) The Jaguars have signed receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, per the Florida Times-Union. Massaquoi had 118 catches for 1,745 yards and seven touchdowns over four seasons with the Browns. He also had four concussions and was placed on injured reserve last year with a knee injury.
