by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/18/2014) The Colts have released veteran running back Tashard Choice and waived defensive lineman Jake McDonough.

Colts pass catchers do little Week 17

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/29/2013) The Colts pass catchers didn't do much Week 17 against the Jaguars.

Griff Whalen was the only player to catch a touchdown, scoring on a 7 yard pass. He finished the game with 32 yards. Tight end Coby Fleener had just one reception for 25 yards. Da'Rick Rodgers caught two passes for 20 yards. Stanley Havili also caught two balls, but had 18 yards. Weslye Saunders had 18 yards, but caught one ball. LaVon Brazill caught one bal for 11 yards. Tight end Jack Doyle had one caught for 2 yards.

Tashard Choice also had one catch for 5 yards. He also carried the ball five times for 18 yards.

Minor contributors help Colts in Week 16

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/22/2013) Notable Colts players who posted some numbers in Week 16 include fullback Stanley Havili (a carry for no yards, a catch for 1 yard), running back Tashard Choice (an 8-yard carry in garbage time), tight end Weslye Saunders (a 6-yard catch) and tight end Jack Doyle (a 6-yard catch). Receiver LaVon Brazill was targeted on a deep pass that bounced off his hands in the second half that could have gone for a touchdown.

The Colts host the Jaguars in Week 17.

Three Colts make small contributions

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/15/2013) Colts running back Tashard Choice, tight end Jack Doyle and defensive back Corey Lynch all made minimal contributions on offense Week 15 against the Texans.

Choice played the biggest role. Serving as the backup running back after Donald Brown went down with a stinger, he spelled Trent Richardson late in the blowout win, rushing five times for 18 yards. Doyle caught one pass for minus-4 yards. Lynch had a 3-yard carry on a fake punt that failed to pick up the first down.

Colts add former Bills RB Tashard Choice to backfield mix

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/9/2013) The Colts announced Monday they signed free agent running back Tashard Choice, who was released by the Bills last week. The Colts will be Choice's fourth team after he played for the Cowboys (2008-2011), Redskins (2011) and Bills (2011-13).

Choice has totaled 1,535 rushing yards and 569 receiving yards in 85 career games. He also has 10 career rushing touchdowns.

Tashard Choice dispatched by Bills

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/4/2013) The Bills have released running back Tashard Choice, ESPN has reported. Choice ran effectively when given the opportunity around midseason, averaging 4.4 yards per carry during one four-game stretch. But he has been stuck behind C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson and was deemed expendable.

Tashard Choice receives one carry

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice had just one carry Week 13 against the Falcons.

Choice picked up just 1 yard on his only carry. He was not targeted in the passing game. With both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson receiving the majority of the carries, there were no chances to get Choice involved. Choice will take on the Buccaneers Week 14.

Three Bills reserves combine for five catches Week 11

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/17/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice, wide receiver Chris Hogan and tight end Lee Smith all had minor contributions during a 37-14 win Week 11 vs. N.Y. Jets.

Choice rushed for 1 yard on two carries, while adding one catch for no yards.

Hogan had three catches for 29 yards. His only failed target came on a 24-yard pass into the end zone in the second quarter, which was overthrown by quarterback EJ Manuel.

Smith, who was targeted twice, finished with one catch for 1 yard.

The Bills are on a bye Week 12 before returning to action Week 13 vs. Atlanta.

Tashard Choice has 17 yards in Week 9 loss

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/3/2013) Bills running Back Tashard Choice had five carries for 17 yards in Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Chiefs. Choice was also targeted once in the passing game, but failed to record a reception.

The Bills travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers in Week 10.

Tashard Choice is a deep sleeper option in Week 9

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/31/2013) Here's how Bills running back Tashard Choice could be a Fantasy factor in Week 9: C.J. Spiller could be out again as he deals with an ankle sprain. Fred Jackson could be limited as he handles a knee issue (he is always seemingly on the precipice of re-aggravation). Choice steps in and somehow runs all over a Chiefs defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest Fantasy points per game to opposing backs.

If this situation makes you say, "This sounds like the perfect guy for my injury-depleted running back situation in my deeper league!" then snatch him up, as Choice is only owned in three percent of leagues. He has skill, and the Bills have found some nice success with the run this season.

He's a huge risk, but we've seen sure-fire matchups go awry this season (think the Rams running all over the Seahawks, or the Giants managing just five field goals against a weak Eagles pass defense), so it wouldn't be crazy to take a gamble on Choice in deeper formats this Sunday.

Tashard Choice decent in change-of-pace role

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/27/2013) Getting a chance to spell starter Fred Jackson with C.J. Spiller sidelined by an ankle injury, Bills running back Tashard Choice was efficient with his seven carries Week 8 at New Orleans, picking up 35 yards. By comparison, Jackson had 45 yards on 15 carries. Of course, most of Choice's production came on a single 20-yard run early in the second quarter.

Choice's role going forward is contingent on Spiller's health. As of now, Spiller's status for Week 9 against the Chiefs is unknown.

Tashard Choice does little in win

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/20/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice played a limited role in Week 7 against the Dolphins, as he continues to run third on the depth chart.

Choice finished second on the team with 16 rushing yards, however he needed six carries to get them, leaving him with a sub-3.0 yards per carry average. The Bills won the game, 23-21.

Barring a serious injury ahead of him on the depth chart, Choice remains the team's third option in the running game heading into Week 8 against the Saints.

Tashard Choice comes close to scoring twice Week 6

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/13/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice came close to scoring a touchdown twice during a 27-24 overtime loss Week 6 vs. Cincinnati. Choice settled for 24 rushing yards on four carries and two catches for 9 yards.

Choice's first failed touchdown attempt came on a screen pass on the opening drive. He gained 5 yards before being pushed out at the 3-yard line. One play later, Thad Lewis scrambled for a rushing touchdown.

Choice's second close call came on a rush late in the first quarter. He scampered 13 yards before being pulled down at the 2-yard line. Fred Jackson was then denied a touchdown on three straight carries before Thad Lewis was stopped on 4th-and-goal from the 1-yard line.

Next up for Buffalo is a showdown at Miami Week 7.

Tashard Choice does little in increase role

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/4/2013) With C.J. Spiller still limited by an ankle injury, Bills running back Tashard Choice played a bigger role in Week 5 against the Browns, a 37-24 loss.

Choice saw a bit more of the field than normal Thursday, rushing the ball five times for 22 yards, both of which were season highs. He was not targeted in the passing game.

Spiller looked pretty healthy when he played, so Choice's role could be reduced in Week 6 against the Bengals.

Big opportunity could be awaiting Tashard Choice

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/2/2013) With Bills running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson nursing injuries, running back Tashard Choice could be relied on heavily during Thursday's game at Cleveland.

"We have all the confidence in the world that he can go in there and get the job done," Spiller said, per the team's official website. "He’s been in that position before when it was me and him last year. So we’re not worried about having a let off or a letdown. Obviously we want both me and Fred out there, but when Tashard Choice’s number is called we have the confidence that he’ll go in and get the job done."

Choice was put in a similar situation against the Browns last season. Jackson was sidelined by injury and Spiller sustained a shoulder injury in the first half, so Choice paced the rushing attack in a 24-14 win, totaling 20 carries for 91 yards.

"Them guys I remember last year they were a really fast defense, really physical and they were making a lot of plays," Choice said. "My mind frame is to go in there and continue to mash and gash for us. I don’t want there to be a let off. If I’m in the game I want to make sure I continue to make plays. Last week I left one out there. I slipped and I’m still (ticked) about it. I’ve got to have it. I’ve got to do better."

Tashard Choice goes for 11 yards

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/29/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice saw three carries in the Week 4 win at home against Baltimore. Choice rushed for 11 yards on the game.

Choice was not targeted in the passing game. He could become viable for Week 5 at Cleveland on Thursday as the Bills play a short week and both Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller were banged up during the win over the Ravens.

Tashard Choice gets limited work against Jets

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/22/2013) Bills running back Tashard Choice had 2 carries against the Jets Week 3.

Choice lost 1 yard on his carries. He was targeted once in the passing game, but failed to bring in a reception. Choice will take on the Ravens Week 4.

T.J. Graham, Tashard Choice with first catches

by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(9/15/2013) Bills wide receiver T.J. Graham and running back Tashard Choice each saw one catch during the Week 2 win over Carolina.

EJ Manuel targeted Graham three times in the game and he finished with one catch for 8 yards. Choice saw one catch on one target for 1 yard.

Graham and Choice each picked up their first catches of the season. The Bills play at the Jets Week 3.

Bills yet to identify goal-line back

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/6/2013) Tashard Choice got most of the goal-line opportunities in Monday's intrasquad scrimmage, but Bills coach Doug Marrone said he has not settled on a goal-line back.

"We're actually still trying to find that role," Marrone said, via the Buffalo News. "I don't think that role's been defined for us yet. We're going to take a real good look at it."

C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson watched the goal-line portion from the sideline, according to the report. Rookie running back Kendall Gaskins got one goal-line series.

Pair of Bills backup RBs banged up

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(8/1/2013) Bills running backs Tashard Choice and Zach Brown were banged up in practice Wednesday. Choice got up slowly after a punt drill but did later participate in team drills. Brown hurt his ankle, coach Doug Marrone said, and will get examined by doctors according to ESPN.

Bills re-sign RB Choice

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/1/2013) According to his representatives, the Bills have re-signed running back Tashard Choice.
