(10/14/2014) Former Colts linebacker Pat Angerer retired at age 27. Angerer made 327 tackles and forced four fumbles while playing for Indianapolis from 2010-13.

Falcons cut 12 players Friday

(8/29/2014) The Falcons have parted ways with 12 players Friday.

The club cut DE Nosa Eguae, FB Maurice Hagens, CB Jordan Mabin, WR Freddie Martino, S Kimario McFadden, TE Jacob Pedersen, OL Adam Replogle, DT Donte Rumph, LB Yawin Smallwood, LB Pat Angerer, OL Pat McQuistan and RB Josh Vaughan.

Angerer is probably the most recognizable name in the bunch. He started 16 games for the Colts back in 2011. Rumph was featured on an early episode of Hard Knocks this season.

(8/29/2014) Veteran linebacker Pat Angerer has tweeted that he has been waived by the Falcons, per ESPN.com.

the 27-year-old Angerer, who signed with Atlanta on July 22, started 11 of the 13 games he played for Indianapolis in 2013. He had been pretty much a full-time starter for the Colts until they allowed him to walk in free agency after last season.

(12/17/2013) Colts linebacker Pat Angerer was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season. Angerer was a surprising healthy scratch Week 15 vs. Houston, which came after he was pulled from the starting lineup in the previous two games.

ESPN reports Angerer has been dealing with a knee injury and needs surgery, according to a source. Angerer finishes the season with 63 tackles and one interception in 11 games.

(11/4/2013) Colts linebacker Pat Angerer made a game-high 12 tackles, seven solo, in the win over Houston. Angerer had a tackle for loss, a pass defended on a near-interception and a quarterback hit.

After his second game with double-digit tackles this season, Angerer is up to 35 stops in six games.

(9/29/2013) Colts linebacker Pat Angerer and defensive back Antoine Bethea, who are normally among the team leaders in tackles when healthy and in the lineup, were both healthy and in the lineup Week 4 at Jacksonville, but with the Jaguars struggling to complete passes and move the chains,  they didn't end up contributing many tackles.

Angerer, who contributed 11 total tackles in the only other game he was healthy Week 2 against Miami, had only three, all solo. Bethea had four tackles, all solo.

(9/13/2013) The Colts are healthy everywhere but at linebacker. But they are certainly banged up at that position. Starters Erik Walden, Pat Angerer and Jerrell Freeman are all on the injured list released by the team on Friday.

The good news is that Angerer (concussion) practiced in full on Friday and is listed as probable for the game Sunday against Miami. Walden (hamstring) was also a full participant, but he is questionable. Freeman (quad) was limited in practice.

(9/11/2013) Colts inside linebacker Pat Angerer, who missed the season opener against Oakland with a concussion, practiced in full Wednesday, the Terre Haute Tribune-Star is reporting.

Angerer was replaced last week by 2012 starter Kelvin Sheppard, who recorded six tackles against the Raiders. But the fact that Angerer was a full go in practice indicates a probable return Sunday against Miami.

Listed as probable on the injury report are running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee), tight end Coby Fleener (knee), inside linebacker Mario Harvey (knee), safety Joe Lefeged (knee) and offensive lineman Mike McGlynn (knee).
