News: The Patriots have released defensive lineman Myron Pryor.
Analysis: Pryor was never been a major stat producer. He shouldn't be a consideration in Fantasy.
News: Patriots tight end Jake Ballard (knee) and defensive lineman Myron Pryor (shoulder) are expected to miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season after the team placed the two players on the PUP list Monday. Both are eligible to return for Week 7 against the Jets.
Analysis: Ballard shined during the early part of his rookie season with the Giants before a knee injury derailed his tenure with the team. He also suffered a torn ACL in last February's Super Bowl, but was not expected to earn many touches with the Patriots anyway. Both players should be left untouched in all Fantasy formats at this point.
News: The Patriots placed six players on active/Physically Unable to Perform list including linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee scope), tight ends Jake Ballard (knee) and Daniel Fells (shoulder) and defensive tackle Myron Pryor (shoulder). Players on the PUP list are eligible to be taken off at any point during training camp. If they're not removed they must sit out at least the first six weeks of the season.
Analysis: We suspect Ballard will remain on the PUP list after camp. The rest should come off soon but not have an active role in Fantasy leagues.
News: The Patriots placed DL Myron Pryor on injured reserve Wednesday because of a shoulder injury.
Analysis: Pryor was nothing more than a reserve DL for the Patriots and had no Fantasy appeal. Continue to ignore him.
News: Patriots DL Myron Pryor (back) was inactive for the fifth straight game in Week 14 against the Bears. He has 11 tackles with a half a sack on the year.
Analysis: Pryor just can't seem to shake this back injury and will be out for another game. He does not have much Fantasy value, even when healthy, so continue to leave the 24-year-old on waivers in all formats.
News: Patriots DL Myron Pryor has been downgraded from questionable to out of the Week 10 game against the Steelers due to a back issue. He missed practice all week with the injury.
Analysis: Pryor, who is best known for knocking out Bret Favre in Week 8, has just 11 tackles and 1/2 a sack on the season. He is not worth owning in Fantasy play. Keep him off of rosters.
News: Patriots DL Myron Pryor delivered the biggest hit in Week 8 against the Vikings. Pryor nailed QB Brett Favre with a viscous hit right on the chin in the fourth quarter that left the veteran bloodied and knocked him out of the game. Pryor finished with just one tackle in the 28-18 victory.
Analysis: Pryor is a interior defensive lineman for the Patriots and as just eight tackles on the season with a half of sack. He does not stat enough to be worth owning in the majority of IDP formats.
News: The following players have been listed as inactive by the Patriots for their Week 15 game at Buffalo: WR Isaiah Stanback, RB Fred Taylor, DT Vince Wilfork, DT Myron Pryor, DE Ty Warren and CB Terrence Wheatley.
Analysis: Most of these guys were declared out on Saturday, so you should already have benched them in Fantasy formats. The only ones with any real Fantasy value are Taylor and Wilfork.
News: The Patriots have announced the following players as inactive for Week 14: LB Adalius Thomas, DB Terrence Wheatley, RB Fred Taylor, DL Myron Pryor, WR Sam Aiken and DL Ron Brace.
Analysis: Thomas got in some trouble earlier this week for missing a meeting and is now clearly in Bill Belichick's dog house. Be sure to bench the LB in deeper IDP leagues. Taylor might be back soon, so continue to bench him, while Aiken has some minimal value in super-deep formats.
News: New England listed several inactives for Week 1's Monday night game against the Bills. The following are inactive for the game: WR Julian Edelman, WR Matt Slater, CB Terrence Wheatley, RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis and DT Myron Pryor.
Analysis: Green-Ellis needs loads of injuries to happen before he's worth thinking about in Fantasy play. None of the players listed above have much Fantasy value. Keep them on waivers.
News: The Boston Globe reports the Patriots and rookie DL Myron Pryor have agreed to terms on a contract. Pryor, who played at Kentucky, was drafted in the sixth round (207th overall). The 6-foot-1, 310-pound Pryor appeared in 46 games (34 starts) over his college career, playing DT in the Wildcats' 4-3 alignment.
Analysis: Pryor will likely be a run stuffer for the Patriots along their defensive line and has minimal Fantasy value. Ignore him in all IDP leagues this year.
