Giants offensive line taking shape for Week 5

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/3/2013) The Giants are making a change along the offensive line heading into Week 5 vs. Philadelphia.

Tackle David Diehl, who has been hobbled by an ankle injury, told reporters he will start at right guard Sunday. Jim Cordle is expected to remain at center with David Baas (neck) injured, with Kevin Boothe remaining at left guard. Therefore, James Brewer is headed back to the bench.

Giants try another combination on offensive line

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/26/2013) With center David Baas (knee) and tackle David Diehl (thumb) still sidelined, the Giants continue to tinker with their offensive line. On Monday they trotted out Kevin Boothe at center in place of Jim Cordle, reports ESPN.com.

James Brewer moved to left guard, while rookie Justin Pugh remained at right tackle, the report said. Right guard Chris Snee and left tackle Will Beatty stayed put.

Coach Tom Coughlin said nothing is set in stone. "We’ll try different combinations," he said. "Nothing wrong with that, I hope."
