News: The Lions re-signed Brian Robiskie, the Detroit Free-Press reports. The receiver was released last week.
Analysis: Robiskie will battle for a spot along the depth chart, if not a roster spot, in training camp this summer. He's unlikely to break out after a disappointing four-year career.
News: The Lions parted ways with receiver Brian Robiskie.
Analysis: Robiskie made no impact with the Lions and really hasn't made the impact we thought he'd make when he came out of Ohio State several years ago. With stops in such locales as Cleveland, Jacksonville and Detroit, Robiskie might have a hard time finding another championship-starved team to disappoint. Keep him off rosters.
News: Liosn wide receiver Brian Robiskie was barely involved during saturday's contest at home against the Falcons in Week 16. He caught a short 5-yard pass in the first quarter and did earn a target for the remainder of the game.
Analysis: Robiskie has not seen the field r produced enough to make any sort of Fantasy impact for the Lions since joining the team in October. He has just two catches for 14 yards over his last two games, so continue to ignore him in all Fantasy formats moving forward.
News: The Lions announced Wednesday the signing of free-agent receiver Brian Robiskie, who takes the roster spot of Nate Burleson, who went on injured reserve because of a broken leg.
Analysis: Robiskie has bounced around the NFL and has definitely not lived up to his potential as a 2009 second-round pick. He is just wide receiver depth for Detroit and can be ignored in Fantasy at this time.
News: The Jaguars signed tight end Stephen Spach and offensive linemen Herb Taylor the team announced Monday. To make room for him on the roster, Jacksonville cut receiver Brian Robiskie and tight end Colin Cloherty.
Analysis: Robiskie hardly saw the field in Week 1 and was obviously not in Jacksonville's long-term plans. He can be ignored in all formats while he is currently not on an NFL roster.
News: Jacksonville moved WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) to season-ending injured reserve on Friday. Robiskie was claimed off waivers from Cleveland in early November, but missed all three games that he was on the active roster.
Analysis: Robiskie has been a disappointing Fantasy contributor since being selected in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He has recorded just 39 receptions and 441 yards in his career -- all with the Browns. Fantasy owners should continue to ignore him in all formats.
News: The Jaguars claimed WR Brian Robiskie off waivers on Wednesday. Cleveland waived the 2009 second-round pick on Tuesday.
Analysis: Robiskie has been a bust of an NFL player, so when the Browns needed a roster spot, they felt they could part ways with him. The Jaguars could use some playmakers, but until Robiskie starts living up to his potential, then leave him on Fantasy waivers.
News: Cleveland waived receiver Brian Robiskie on Tuesday after signing RB Thomas Clayton, reports the Akron Beacon-Journal. The 23-year-old Robiskie has only recorded catches in one game this season and had three for 25 yards against the Titans on Oct. 2.
Analysis: Robiskie kept falling on the depth chart until eventually the Browns decided to cut ties with the former Ohio State standout. Fantasy owners were never seriously considering using Robiskie in Fantasy play and that should only continue now that he must find a new team.
News: Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Monday that WR Greg Little will start at the 'X' receiver spot in Week 6 against the Raiders. He will take the starting spot of Brian Robiskie, who has just three catches for 25 yards on the season.
Analysis: Robiskie hasn't developed into the pass-catching threat the Browns were looking for when they drafted him out of Ohio State in 2009 and it seems he might never live up to his potential. He has little to no Fantasy appeal before this news, so continue to ignore him until further notice.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie, who hadn't recorded a catch all season, finally got on the board Week 4 against the Titans, catching three passes for 25 yards. He was targeted only the three times.
Analysis: QB Colt McCoy set franchise records with 40 completions and 61 attempts in Week 4, so Robiskie pretty much had to get in the mix. He's still a low-priority option in the passing game and is unlikely to make a significant Fantasy impact in the near future. The Browns have a bye in Week 5, but you can leave him on waivers for Week 6 at Oakland.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie failed to record a catch in Week 1 against the Bengals despite being targeted three times. Yet, Browns coach Pat Shurmur is still a big fan of Robiskie heading into Week 2 against the Colts. Catches tend to come in bunches and this might be a game this week where he catches five," Shurmur said. I think hes a very steady guy. Its very rare you see him make a mistake and I appreciate that. He has good hands. He will catch the football and in the preseason you saw he found a way to separate. Thats what he gives us.
Analysis: Robiskie has continued to underperform since being drafted in 2009. He gets a fresh start in 2011 playing under the first year coach Shurmur. Robiskie is now in an offense that there will be plenty of opportunities for him to succeed, but leave him on waivers in most Fantasy formats until he breaks out.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie had three passes come his way Week 1 against the Bengals, but he was not able to haul any of them in for a catch. The team went on to lose 27-17.
Analysis: Robiskie was listed in the starting lineup when the team issued their initial depth chart, but he was not a factor on game day. Six different options saw at least the same amount of passed their was as he did, and eight different players hauled in more passes than he did. Robiskie has not been very consistent in his young NFL career, so Fantasy owners should continue to view him as a wait-and-see option going forward.
News: The Browns depth chart at wide receiver heading into Week 1 against the Bengals has Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi in the starting lineup. They are backed up by Greg Little and Josh Cribbs, with Carlton Mitchell and Jordan Norwood running with the third team.
Analysis: Robiskie had a pretty solid preseason, totaling seven catches for 77 yards, so it's not surprising to see him listed as a starter. If Robiskie can stay healthy, then he can play a big part in the Browns' new West Coast offense. He is entering his third year in the NFL, which is usually a typical breakout season for receivers. Robiskie might be considered a sleeper Fantasy start for Week 1. If you are still drafting, then consider Robiskie at best a late-round Fantasy option.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie has shown the ability to separate from cornerbacks and has not been plagued by drops in training camp, something first-year coach Pat Shurmur has taken notice. "He's been very steady in terms of personality and performance," Shurmur said. "He's had a steady camp and that speaks well of him."
Analysis: The Browns are looking for playmakers for their new West Coast offense and Robiskie has a golden opportunity to step up in 2011. He has disappointed in his first two years, but he gets a fresh start and seems to be making a favorable impression. Still, Robiskie remains at best a late-round Fantasy flier on Draft Day.
News:The Plain Dealer reports Browns WR Brian Robiskie is excited about the team's new West Coast offense under first-year coach Pat Shurmur. "I think myself, (QB) Colt (McCoy) and all of the receivers are definitely going to flourish in this offense," Robiskie said. "Coming off the past couple of years, I think it will be great for us. We're all looking forward to showing what we're capable of."
Analysis: Robiskie started to emerge as a reliable threat in the Browns' passing game late in 2010, recording a touchdown in three straight games to finish out the season. It's worth noting that he scored against two good defenses in the Ravens and Steelers in that span. Robiskie's biggest threats in the passing game at Mohamed Massaquoi, tight end Ben Watson and rookie Greg Little. However, his surge late in the season probably won't go unnoticed, so Robiskie could be a player in the Browns' offense this season. There's some sleeper potential for the third-year receiver. He's worth a late-round pick in drafts as a reserve Fantasy receiver with upside.
News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Browns WR Brian Robiskie is working out with QB Colt McCoy in an effort to get a grasp of new coach Pat Shurmur's West Coast offense. "We're just trying to hear the language of it, we're hearing the calls as they would come in the huddle and we're familiarizing ourselves with it and hopefully we can just keep it going," said Robiskie. "We'll wrap it up and see what happens with this lockout and proceed accordingly."
Analysis: Maybe the third year is the charm for Robiskie, who has improved in each of his two seasons thus far, though that's not saying much. Robiskie finished with 310 yards on 29 catches with three touchdowns in 2010, though it should be noted that all three of the scores and nine catches for 152 yards came in his final three games (one score per game). That creates some optimism. Robiskie's size and hands could be an asset for the new offense in Cleveland, and as such there's some sleeper potential for the third-year receiver. He's worth a late-round pick in drafts as a reserve Fantasy receiver with upside.
News: The Browns hired Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as their new head coach, likely signaling a change in offensive philosophy. Shurmur is well-versed in the West Coast offense, which relies on players to run after the catch. The new coach is expected to evaluate all of his receiving talent in Cleveland, including Brian Robiskie, and make changes. Robiskie finished 2010 with 29 catches for 310 yards and three late-season touchdowns.
Analysis: We think Robiskie offers a lot as far as hands and route-running go, so he might land a spot on the offense heading into 2011. Robiskie compares favorably to the likes of Rams wideouts Laurent Robinson and Danario Alexander, non-speed receivers with decent size, and they saw a lot of playing time in the Rams' system under Shurmur last year. Robiskie is worth eyeballing with a late-round pick in drafts if he remains with the Browns through the offseason.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie made it three straight games with a touchdown when he scored in a Week 17 loss to Pittsburgh. Robiskie finished with two catches for 35 yards.
Analysis: Robiskie finished 2010 with 29 catches for 310 yards and his three late-season touchdowns, and while his recent scoring touch is a nice end to the campaign, he's unlikely to attract much attention in 2011 Fantasy drafts because of the less-than-stellar quarterback situation in Cleveland.
News: Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie put the Browns on the board first in the Week 16 loss to Baltimore. Robiskie caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Mohamed Massaquoi, who got the ball on an end around with Seneca Wallace in at quarterback in the first quarter. Robiskie finished with two catches for 35 yards in the game.
Analysis: Robiskie has recorded a touchdown catch in two straight games, his first two of the season for the Browns. He's been excellent in the last two, though he'd done almost nothing prior to that all year. While we appreciate his late-season value improvement, it is likely to have come far too late for Fantasy owners to really take advantage. Playing against Pittsburgh's vaunted defense in Week 17, Robiskie is not really a recommended Fantasy start.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie scored his first career touchdown in Week 15 against the Bengals. Robiskie was on the receiving-end of a 46-yard touchdown strike late in the fourth quarter from Colt McCoy, when he broke free down the sideline against broken coverage. "I saw the coverage they were playing. We said all week that if the cornerback jumped the underneath route, there was going to be a hole there. (QB Colt McCoy) saw it and threw it," Robiskie said. He was targeted six times in the 19-17 loss and finished with five receptions for 82 yards.
Analysis: Robiskie has pretty much been a non-factor in Cleveland's passing game all season long, however, finished only second behind Benjamin Watson in receptions and receiving yards Sunday. While it was nice to see him find the end zone against Cincinnati, don't expect his Fantasy value to rise too much moving forward. The Browns have been very pedestrian in the passing game this year and face the Ravens in Week 16. We do not recommend starting him against Baltimore.
News: Leading the Browns in receptions with seven, WR Brian Robiskie had his best game of the season in a 24-23 win over Carolina in Week 12. Robiske had 50 receiving yards in the game, which was his highest total of the season and the second-highest of his two-year career.
Analysis: Robiske is normally a non-factor in a Browns passing game that takes a backseat to the running game. Only Peyton Hillis got more targets in Week 12, so while Robiske is still too risky to trust in Fantasy, he bears watching over the next couple of weeks.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie made one 20-yard catch in a Week 9 win over New England.
Analysis: Robiskie has yet to go over 25 yards receiving this season or find the end zone, so don't expect his Fantasy value to increase much when Jake Delhomme or Seneca Wallace get back under center. Continue to ignore Robiskie in Fantasy play heading into Week 10 vs. the Jets.
News: WR Brian Robiskie ended up leading the Browns in receiving in Week 7 against the Saints, with three catches for 25 yards. He also had a team-high four targets, but he didn't find the end zone. His longest catch went 16 yards. The three catches were a season high.
Analysis: Rookie QB Colt McCoy was making just his second career start in Week 7, so it's no surprise that the passing offense is still a work in progress. Robiskie might be a starter for the Browns, but he has done nothing thus far to warrant use in Fantasy. The Browns are on a bye in Week 8 and return to action in Week 9 against the Patriots.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie started Week 6 against the Steelers by catching QB Colt McCoy's first pass of his career for an 8-yard gain. But he would haul in just one more catch and finish with 13 yards in a 28-10 loss to the Steelers. Robiskie was targeted four times as he was held out of the end zone for the 15th game in his career.
Analysis: Robiskie is technically a starting WR for Cleveland, but he has just 12 catches in his career. The two catches in Week 6 were a season-best and that is quite alarming. The Browns lost two receivers to head injuries in Week 6, so Robiskie might need to play a bigger role in Week 7 against the Saints. Still, he is not a recommended start in Fantasy.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie, who had gone two games without a reception, recorded his third of the season Week 5 against the Falcons. It was a 5-yarder.
Analysis: Robiskie has been in the starting lineup at times, but the Browns clearly prefer other receiving options, such as Benjamin Watson, Chansi Stuckey and Mohamed Massaquoi. You can leave Robiskie on waivers for Week 6 at Pittsburgh.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis on Thursday, for the second straight day. He has been inactive for the last two weeks with the injury.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value has been low this season, even while healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yards in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats until he becomes more prevalent in the Browns offense.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday. He has been inactive for the last two weeks with the injury.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value has been low this season, even while healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yards in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats until further notice.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) was listed as inactive for Week 4 against the Bengals. He had been able to practice this week, but was considered a game-time decision.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value has been low this season, even while healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yards in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats until further notice.
News: Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) saw limited practice for the second straight day in preparation for the Week 4 game against the Bengals. He missed the Week 3 loss to the Ravens with the same injury.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value was low when he was healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yards in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats.
News: Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) missed Week 3 at Baltimore. Robiskie had been ruled out earlier in the practice week.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value was low when he was healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yards in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 3 at Baltimore. He did not practice all week and was previously listed as doubtful.
Analysis: Robiskie's Fantasy value was low when he was healthy, totaling just two catches for 18 yarsd in two games. Keep Robiskie off rosters in all formats.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie did not practice all week and has been listed as doubtful for Week 3 at Baltimore.
Analysis: Robiskie isn't expected to play, and with two catches for 18 yards, no one should miss him much. Keep him off of Fantasy rosters.
News: Cleveland starting WR Brian Robiskie managed one catch Week 2 against the Chiefs. That catch went for 12 yards. Robiskie only has two catches on the season as a starting receiver for the Browns.
Analysis: After two games, Robiskie has two grabs for 18 yards and no scores. The Browns might be coming to the conclusion that he's too slow to prosper against NFL cornerbacks since he has not been able to get any kind of separation. With the team playing at Baltimore in Week 3, Robiskie is not a recommended Fantasy option.
News: Bengals coach Eric Mangini expressed a vote of confidence to WR Brian Robiskie, who had just one catch in Week 1 at Tampa Bay. "He had two nice sideline plays, but couldn't drag his feet in. It's going to come. The production I want is when you get thrown the ball, you take advantage. He was targeted four times in the game.
Analysis: Robiskie did not feature prominently in a pass offense that isn't very strong to begin with. He was behind Mohamed Massaquoi, Josh Cribbs and Chansi Stuckey in targets, though all were relatively in the same neighborhood as QB Jake Delhomme looks for his go-to receiver with his new team. Robiskie doesn't have very high upside and Fantasy owners should leave him off rosters until he can prove some type of worth. He is definitely not a player to activate for Week 2 against Kansas City.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie caught one pass for six yards in Week 1 at Tampa Bay.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie will likely be the No. 2 WR in Week 1 against the Buccaneers opposite Mohamed Massaquoi. He caught just seven passes as a rookie and caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in the preseason. Coach Eric Mangini was impressed with the progression of Robiskie this preseason. "He had the best offseason of any of the guys in terms of his growth," Mangini said this week. "My expectation is that that trend continues."
Analysis: The Browns offense isn't expected to make a lot of noise this season, but Robiskie will be in a situation to possibly make an impact. If he can get on the same page with new QB Jake Delhomme, he could become a popular pickup off the waiver wire. However, we aren't ready to recommend him as a starter in any format for Week 1.
News: Cleveland coach Eric Mangini was impressed with the progression of second-year wideout Brian Robiskie this preseason. "He had the best offseason of any of the guys in terms of his growth," said Mangini. "My expectation is that that trend continues."
Analysis: As a rookie, Robiskie played in 11 games and made one start. He caught seven passes for 106 yards for an average of 15.1 yards per catch. He has ability and if the balls go his way, he could make some noise. He should not be drafted in the majority of leagues and would only be worth adding off the waiver wire if he starts out the season playing well.
News: Browns second-year WR Brian Robiskie played well in Saturday's third preseason game at Detroit. Robiskie had three catches for 30 yards and remains a viable candidate in Cleveland's WR corps. He is competing with Josh Cribbs and Chansi Stuckey for the No. 2 role opposite Mohamed Massaquoi.
Analysis: We like Robiskie as a WR with potential, but he has minimal Fantasy value heading into 2010. He had a disappointing rookie season -- he only appeared in 11 games and finished with seven catches for 106 yards -- and isn't expected to make a huge leap this year. He should not be drafted in the majority of leagues and would only be worth adding off the waiver wire if he starts out the season playing well.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie said Friday he is developing a solid rapport with new QB Jake Delhomme. "It means a lot, obviously, when you can develop a timing with your quarterback to the point where he knows where you are going to be before you get there," Robiskie said. "I think that just comes with a lot of practice, a lot of repetition over and over. I think that's what we are trying to get done out here, and I think we are getting closer to it."
Analysis: Robiskie has the chance to play a bigger role in 2010 after a disappointing rookie seasin in 2009. We consider Robiskie a player with upside, but he still has minimal Fantasy value in the majority of leagues. Robiskie should only be drafted in deep keeper leagues this year.
News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer knows that there are no official offseason MVP awards, but they'd give one to WR Brian Robiskie if they could. Word out of Cleveland is that Robiskie had a sensational camp thanks to being more in tune with the offense and not running his pass routes "robotically" as one coach put it. The Browns expect a big jump out of Robiskie this season thanks to his good quickness, excellent size and very good hands.
Analysis: Robiskie isn't expected to jump to a 1,000-yard plateau, but he should definitely be given a chance to put up improved stats over what he did as a rookie. But because the Browns' offense is lacking a quality quarterback and complementary receivers, along with a tough schedule, Robiskie is best considered a guy to leave off rosters on Draft Day and a player to target off waivers during the season. There are better late-round fliers than Robiskie.
News: The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll said he is excited about Cleveland's receiving corps, including second-year players Mohamed Massaquoi and Brian Robiskie. "I feel very comfortable with the guys that we have because I've seen them for the last four months," Daboll said. "Brian has made some really good plays. He's a professional kid. He's doing little things [on routes] he didn't do last year. Little nuances are showing up every day."
Analysis: Robiskie should improve in 2010, but he has to prove it first. Don't plan on drafting Robiskie in the majority of leagues this year, but he is a candidate to add off the waiver wire in standard formats if he starts out the season playing well.
News: Browns coach Eric Mangini has been impressed with second-year WR Brian Robiskie, who was a rookie disappointment in 2009. "He's having an outstanding camp," Mangini said Thursday. "It's no longer, 'Where am I? What am I doing?' It's, 'I remember this technique and what I'm supposed to do.' You can start to develop it more and you can start to play faster because youre not thinking and processing, so that helps. He's running good routes and made some big plays pretty much every day." Robiskie said he is working hard this offseason. "I am trying to get better every day," he said. "I really just tried to come into this year and definitely build off the momentum we had going last year and do what I can to help us win games this year."
Analysis: Robiskie should improve in 2010, but he has to prove it first. Don't plan on drafting Robiskie in the majority of leagues this year (think late-round flier in deeper leagues only), but he is a candidate to add off the waiver wire in standard formats if he starts out the season playing well.
News: The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports Browns WR Mohamed Massaquoi, the leading receiver from last year's returning group, which includes Josh Cribbs, Chansi Stuckey and Brian Robiskie, is ready for a big year. He's also confident in his teammates. "[Robiskie's] primed for a good year," Massaquoi said. "I'm primed for a breakout year. Stuckey's been working hard. Josh is still going to be the dynamic player that he is."
Analysis: Massaquoi believes a number of factors will elevate the play of the receivers, from another year in the system to the addition of Mike Holmgren and top aide Gil Haskell, Holmgren's longtime offensive coordinator in Green Bay and Seattle and the complete overhaul of the quarterback depth chart with Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace replacing Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson. "We all know how the passing game went last year," Massaquoi said. "It can only get better. You plug in a guy like Jake Delhomme ... he's a Super Bowl quarterback. He's going to tell us what he expects out of us. We're going to be able to learn from him and grow more." We agree with Massaquoi that Robiskie should improve in 2010. Still, he has to prove it first. Don't plan on drafting Robiskie in the majority of leagues this year, but he is a candidate to add off the waiver wire if he starts out the season playing well.
News: Browns WR Josh Cribbs said in an interview with CBSSports.com that he's confident in Mohamed Massaquoi and Brian Robiskie heading into 2010. Both were rookies in 2009, and Cribbs said they have plenty of potential. Massaquoi finished his rookie season with 34 catches for 624 yards and three touchdowns. Robiskie only appeared in 11 games and finished with seven catches for 106 yards. "They are already great athletes," Cribbs said. "They step in and do what the coaches ask for. Those two are great guys. They have lots of time to let their talent progress. Mohamed Massaquoi made a lot of clutch catches for us. As soon as we get that quarterback situation corrected they'll find their perfect targets. And Brian Robiskie, when he was active, he did make a mark."
Analysis: Like Cribbs said, when the Browns figure out the QB situation with Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson then the young receviers could start to blossom. We like Massaquoi as a No. 4 Fantasy WR coming into 2010 with a late-round pick in all leagues. He should be a quality reserve and played well as a rookie. Robiskie has a lot to prove, but he could be worth a late-round flier in deep leagues. The Browns passing game needs to improve, and Massaquoi and Robiskie could help with good years in their sophomore season.
News: Cleveland has listed the following players inactive for Week 17 against Jacksonville: TE Greg Estandia, WR Brian Robiskie, DB Coye Francies, DB Gerard Lawson, DL Kenyon Coleman, LB Titus Brown and DL Titus Adams.
Analysis: None of these players currently have any Fantasy value and should continue to be ignored in all formats. This is the final week of the season so they can all be cut in seasonal formats.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie (ankle) and DE Kenyon Coleman (ankle) were injured and did not return to their Week 16 game against Oakland.
Analysis: Neither player has much Fantasy appeal. Leave them off rosters in all Fantasy formats.
News:Robert Royal, Michael Gaines, Lawrence Vickers, Brian Robiskie, Mike Furrey and Derek Anderson all failed to record a stat on Thursday in Cleveland's Week 14 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: None of these players currently have any Fantasy value and should continue to be ignored in all formats. The Browns play at Kansas City in Week 15.
News: Browns defensive end Kenyon Coleman did not participate in Monday's walkthrough. Coleman, who missed Sunday's game against San Diego with a knee injury, was hurt in last week's game against Cincinnati. The Browns had 10 other players, including linebacker David Bowens (knee), defensive lineman Robaire Smith (shoulder), running back Chris Jennings (shoulder), linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (knee), running back Lawrence Vickers, wide receiver Brian Robiskie, linebacker Blake Costanzo (shoulder) and cornerback Eric Wright (hamstring), limited in practice as they began preparing for Thursday night's game against Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Robiskie, who entered the Week 13 game with only one catch all season, finally got an opportunity to make an impact against the Chargers. He caught four passes for 69 yards. Robiskie has upside, so if anything, the fact the Browns didn't turn to him earlier is a surprise. This performance doesn't make him worth adding in Fantasy, but keep an eye on him when the Browns host the Steelers in Week 14.
News: Browns rookie WR Brian Robiskie, who entered the game with only one catch all season, finally got an opportunity to make an impact Week 13 against the Chargers. He caught four passes for 69 yards.
Analysis: Robiskie has upside, so if anything, the fact the Browns didn't turn to him earlier is a surprise. This performance doesn't make him worth adding in Fantasy, but keep an eye on him when the Browns host the Steelers in Week 14.
News: The Browns listed the following players as inactive for Week 12 at Cincinnati: DL Shaun Rogers, TE Robert Royal, WR Brian Robiskie, DB Coye Francies, DL David Veikune.
Analysis: None of the players listed here have any real Fantasy appeal. Leave them on waivers in all leagues until further notice.
News: Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie, DL David Veikune, RB Jerome Harrison, LB Arnold Harrison, DB Coye Francies, WR Jake Allen and QB Brett Ratliff have been listed as inactive for the team's Week 11 game against the Lions.
Analysis: Harrison is in coach Eric Mangini's doghouse it appears, which explains why he is inactive. The rest of these players have little to no Fantasy value.
News: Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie did not stat in the Week 10 game against the Ravens on Monday night. He was active and played in the game but did not make a catch.
Analysis: Robiskie often goes without stats for the hapless Browns. Leave him on waivers in all Fantasy leagues for Week 11 at Detroit.
News:Michael Gaines and Brian Robiskie both failed to record a stat in the team's Week 8 game at Chicago.
Analysis: Neither of these players have any Fantasy relevance and can continue to be ignored in all formats.
News: Cleveland was dominated at home by the Green Bay Packers during Week 7. Cleveland WR Brian Robiskie got the start but did not make a catch. Wide receiver Chansi Stuckey played in the game and went without a reception. Backup QB Brady Quinn did not get into the game despite the poor play of starter Derek Anderson.
Analysis: Robiskie did not have a catch coming into Week 6 and only has one on the season. Leave him, Stuckey and Quinn on waivers or the bench in all Fantasy leagues for Week 8 at Chicago.
News: Browns WR Brian Robiskie caught one pass for 23 yards in Week 6 at Pittsburgh. He was targeted three times in the game.
Analysis: Robiskie did not have a catch coming into Week 6 and is not a player we expect to see enough looks to become useful in Fantasy. Leave him on the waiver wire.
News: WR Brian Robiskie, WR Chansi Stuckey, FB Lawrence Vickers and backup QB Brady Quinn all failed to record stats in the team's Week 5 game against the Bills.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are expected to have any Fantasy appeal this season outside of Brady Quinn who lost the starting QB job this past week. Leave them on waivers in all leagues. The Browns play at the Steelers in Week 6.
News:Brian Robiskie, Lawrence Vickers and Brady Quinn all failed to record stats in the team's Week 4 game against the Bengals.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are expected to have any Fantasy appeal this season outside of Brady Quinn who lost the starting QB job this past week. Leave them on waivers in all leagues.
News: The Browns list WR Brian Robiskie, DB Gerard Lawson and TE Greg Estandia as inactive for Week 3 at Baltimore. QB Brett Ratliff is also inactive.
Analysis: None of the players on this list are expected to have any Fantasy appeal this season. Leave them on waivers in all leagues.
News: Browns inactives for Week 3's game against the Ravens include K Phil Dawson; QB Brett Ratliff; DB Gerard Lawson; RB Jamal Lewis; OL Rex Hadnot; OL Floyd Womack; WR Brian Robiskie; TE Greg Estandia.
Analysis: Lewis and Dawson were already ruled out of Week 3's game on Saturday. The rest of these players don't have any Fantasy value.
News: RB James Davis, WR Marquis Floyd, RB Cedric Peerman, WR Brian Robiskie, TE Martin Rucker and QB Brett Ratliff were all listed as inactive for Week 2's game at Denver.
Analysis: Aside from Davis, none of the players on this list are expected to have any Fantasy appeal this season. Leave them on waivers in all leagues.
News: Browns receiver Brian Robiskie did not get a catch in Week 1 vs. Minnesota.
Analysis: Robiskie is an intriguing young receiver with upside, but without the role to be useful in Fantasy at the moment. He is currently only worth stashing in deeper leagues.
News: Rookie WR Brian Robiskie was believed to be a potential impact player for the Browns, but based on practice snaps, fellow rookie WR Mohamed Massaquoi seems to hold a slight edge over Robiskie, although both rookies are behind veterans Braylon Edwards, Josh Cribbs and Mike Furrey. He's currently on the third-team on the Browns' official depth chart. Head coach Eric Mangini concedes Robiskie may have hit a wall during training camp, similar to how most rookies deal with their first tour of the NFL. "I think with rookies, they don't hit the wall, the wall hits them," Mangini said. "It's a tough transition."
Analysis: Robiskie is off to a disappointing start, but it doesn't mean he can't rebound and make an impact this year. We still think he's worth a late-round pick in drafts as his size and polished hands make him a candidate to eventually contribute for Cleveland.
News: The Browns are looking for a No. 2 WR behind Braylon Edwards, and several players tried to step up and earn the job in the first preseason game Saturday at Green Bay. Mike Furrey got the start and finished with three catches for 26 yards. Rookie Brian Robiskie had one catch for 15 yards in his NFL debut, and fellow rookie Mohamed Massaquoi had one catch for 6 yards. Josh Cribbs, a standout on special teams trying to make the transition to receiver, had two catches for 30 yards.
Analysis: None of these receivers will make much impact on your Fantasy team this season, but they could be worth adding off the waiver wire. Robiskie and Massaquoi are worth drafting with mid-round picks in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Beacon Journal reports the Browns have listed WR Mike Furrey, a free agent who spent the past three seasons with the Detroit Lions, as the No. 2 receiver on the depth chart with No. 1 Braylon Edwards. He is ahead of fellow veteran David Patten and rookies Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi.
Analysis: We don't expect Furrey to remain a starter when the season begins, but it's interesting that he's ahead of Robiskie at this point. Keep an eye on what happens, but don't plan on drafting Furrey in any leagues even if he's a starter.
News: Browns coach Eric Mangini said Monday he's glad rookie WR Brian Robiskie signed and is in traning camp. "He's done a good job since he got back," Mangini said. "I think that group as a whole, I've seen some nice things from Mohamed (Massaquoi) as well. They are two young guys kind of going through this experience together. Each day I'll see some plusses from both those guys and then a lot of things to work with. They work hard. Both those guys work hard in the classroom, on the field. It's going to serve them well as they get these opportunities." Mangini said Robiskie and Massaquoi are fighting for a starting spot with veterans David Patten and Mike Furrey and holding their own. "That group has worked well together, since the time we've been together," Mangini said. "It's a nice fusion."
Analysis: We like Robiskie better than Massaquoi, but both could play a role this season, especially with Braylon Edwards struggling. Consider Robiskie a low-end Fantasy option in standard leagues, and Massaquoi someone to monitor off the waiver wire. Both are good receivers to target in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Cleveland Browns have all their campers under contract. With coach Eric Mangini set to hold his first workout Saturday, the Browns agreed to terms on a four-year contract with rookie wide receiver Brian Robiskie, the club's last unsigned player. Robiskie's agent, Joel Segal, said the sides reached agreement Thursday. Financial terms were not immediately available. "Brian is looking forward to getting started," Segal said.
Analysis: Robiskie was taken with the No. 36 overall pick in April's draft. He will compete for a starting job with fellow rookie Mohammed Massaquoi, another second-round pick who signed his contract and reported to camp this week. Mangini had all his first-year players report one week earlier than the veterans. Robiskie caught 55 passes for 935 yards and 11 touchdowns last season for Ohio State. He was also once a ballboy with the Browns when his father, Terry, was on Cleveland's coaching staff. The Browns have little depth at wide receiver, which gives both Robiskie and Massaquoi a chance to earn playing time. Veteran Joe Jurevicius retired during the offseason and Donte Stallworth has been indefinitely suspended after serving jail time on a DUI charge. Robiskie is worth drafting with a late-round pick in standard Fantasy leagues and is definitely worth a late-round pick in keeper leagues. He should be added with a Top-20 pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: At the NFL Rookie Symposium in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Browns rookie WR Brian Robiskie told CBSSports.com in an exclusive interview that the coaches have had him line up in multiple spots on the field in an effort to have him able to play all the different receiving spots, a trend we've seen with other Browns rookies. "[Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll] has done that with a lot of guys. We're out there trying to learn all the spots and trying to get an understanding of what he's trying to do so when we go out there and we're trying to execute a play, we can better understand what the concept is," Robiskie said.
Analysis: Robiskie said it's helped him that he grew up in an NFL family -- his father is former running back and current Falcons coach Terry Robiskie -- and that it's been stressed to him by Coach Daboll that he keeps learning all the facets of the offense. Still, he's focused on doing his part to help the Browns win, even going as far as to say that he'd be fine with being on the bench if that's what they ask of him (we highly doubt that). Robiskie is a refined talent who many considered to be the most NFL-ready receiver in April's draft. He could make a sizable impact for the Browns as a rookie while developing into a quality receiver. We've even previously reported that Robiskie is on the inside track to start. He should be serviceable for Fantasy and shouldn't be looked at as your typical rookie wideout. Robiskie is worth drafting with a late-round pick in standard Fantasy leagues and is definitely worth a late-round pick in keeper leagues and should be added with a Top-20 pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Browns rookie WR Brian Robiskie appears in line to start at the No. 2 spot opposite Braylon Edwards. Robiskie has been having a "solid" offseason. The report says the Browns hope is with Edwards stretching the defense with deep patterns on one side and Robiskie running strong medium routes, the Browns can develop a 1-2 receiving punch and also get contributions from others such as David Patten, Mike Furrey, Mohamed Massaquoi and maybe a long shot such as Lance Leggett or Jordan Norwood. Donte Stallworth does not appear to be in the mix.
Analysis: This is good news for Robiskie, who is battling with Massaquoi for the starting spot along with Patten and Furrey. We like Robiskie as a late-round flier in seasonal leagues, and he should be drafted high in all rookie drafts. The same goes for Massaquoi even if he's the No. 3 WR in this scenario, but the battle will likely continue through training camp.
News: The Akron Beacon Journal reports the Browns are trying to find a No. 2 WR behind Braylon Edwards. So far, rookies Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi are leading the way. Both have drawn praise from coach Eric Mangini and showed more flash than David Patten, Joshua Cribbs, Syndric Steptoe, Mike Furrey, Paul Hubbard and Lance Leggett. It's uncertain whether last year's oft-injured No. 2 WR, Donte Stallworth, facing charges of DUI manslaughter, will participate in training camp.
Analysis: We like Robiskie the best of this group based on his play at Ohio State and his pedigree with his father, Terry, a longtime WR coach who is currently with the Falcons. Massaquoi also has upside, but he's not worth drafting in seasonal leagues. Both are worth early-round picks in rookie-only drafts but late-round fliers in seasonal leagues. As for Patten, Cribbs, Steptoe, Furrey, Hubbard, Leggett and Stallworth, leave them on the waiver wire to start the year.
News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Browns rookie WR Brian Robiskie has looked real strong in his first few minicamp practices with the team. Robiskie caught two touchdown passes from Brady Quinn in a series of red-zone drills and is a candidate to start opposite Braylon Edwards this summer.
Analysis: Robiskie should wind up being a quality receiver in the NFL, and it might happen as soon as this year. Remember how Larry Fitzgerald was a mostly polished receiver as a rookie? Robiskie, who is the son of veteran NFL receivers coach Terry Robiskie, fits the same bill without the exceptional size or speed. Still, he should be serviceable for Fantasy and shouldn't be looked at as your typical rookie wideout. He is worth drafting with a late-round pick in standard Fantasy leagues and is definitely worth a late-round pick in keeper leagues and should be added with a Top-20 pick in rookie-only drafts.
News: The Browns drafted WR Brian Robiskie from Ohio State in the second round of the NFL Draft with the hope he can help replace the departed Kellen Winslow and help fill the void if Donte Stallworth has any problems following his DUI-manslaughter charges.
Analysis: Robiskie could play right away and might be worth drafting with a late-round pick in standard Fantasy leagues. He is definitely worth a late-round pick in keeper leagues and should be added in rookie formats.
