(12/9/2013) Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton made a team-high 10 tackles in the win over Carolina, giving him 108 stops this year. That ranks 10th in the NFL. Lofton, who had six solo stops, visits the Rams in Week 15.

Defensive backs Kenny Vaccaro (concussion), Rod Sweeting (hip) and Chris Carr (hip, back hamstring) were all able to play through injuries, as was linebacker Curtis Lofton (hamstring, ankle) and defensive linemen Cameron Jordan (ankle) and Akiem Hicks (back).

Of the eight players on the injury report, seven are considered questionable. They are: linebacker David Hawthorne (toe) and Curtis Lofton (hamstring, ankle); defensive linemen Tom Johnson (hip), Cameron Jordan (ankle) and Tyrunn Walker (knee); and defensive backs Malcolm Jenkins (knee) and Roman Harper (knee).

(11/4/2013) Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton totaled a team-high 12 tackles Week 9 at N.Y. Jets. He tied a season high in tackles, which he also accomplished in Week 6 at New England.

He tied for the team lead with eight tackles, including six solo. He's now averaging 7.9 tackles in seven games, but with no interceptions and only one sack.

Lofton took down Tom Brady for a sack in the second quarter and finished with a team-high 12 tackles (eight solo) and one tackle for loss in a 30-27 defeat. He has 47 tackles on the year.

Saints DST feasts on four turnovers

(10/1/2013) The Saints DST has forced 10 turnovers after getting four more in Monday's blowout of Miami. Corners Jabari Greer and Chris Carr and linebacker Will Herring intercepted Ryan Tannehill, and linebacker Curtis Lofton stripped Tannehill with safety Rafael Bush recovering.

Playing with a lead throughout, New Orleans sacked Tannehill four times. Defensive end Cameron Jordan had a sack and three quarterback hits, and linebacker Junior Galette added a sack and two quarterback hits.

The aggressive Saints DST visits turnover-prone quarterback Jay Cutler and the Bears in Week 5.
