Chargers improve LB corps with Kavell Conner

(12/6/2013) The Colts list nine players on their Friday injury report, but only defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois (foot) and tackle Jeffrey Linkenbach (quad) have been ruled out for Sunday against the Bengals.

Deemed questionable are linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle) guard Hugh Thornton (neck) and cornerback Greg Toler (groin).

The probables are free safety Sergio Brown (hand), cornerback Josh Gordy (groin), wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) and linebacker Robert Mathis (rest).


Trio of Colts defenders getting closer to return

(12/4/2013) Cornerbacks Greg Toler and Josh Gordy, both of whom are nursing groin injuries, and linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle) were set to work individuals drills on Wednesday, according to the Anderson Herald BulletinNeither of the corners has played in a game since Week 7.

The Colts are preparing for a Sunday clash in Cincinnati.

(12/1/2013) Linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle) and cornerbacks Greg Toler (groin) and Josh Gordy (groin) are the injured inactives for the Colts on Sunday against Tennessee.

The healthy inactives are offensive lineman Khaled Holmes, defensive tackle Montori Hughes, linebacker Cam Johnson and tight end Weslye Saunders.


Defensive backs dominate Colts injury report

(11/29/2013) The Colts are in fine shape everywhere but in the secondary heading into their game Sunday against Tennessee. Three defensive backs are among the six players on their injury report, including cornerback Greg Toler, who has been ruled out with a groin problem. Safety Sergio Brown (hand) is questionable while cornerback Vontae Davis (groin) is probable.

Also out is linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle). Fullback Stanley Havili (concussion) and wideout T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) are probable.


Colts inactives Week 12

(11/24/2013) The Colts have made WR Da'Rick Rogers, RB Chris Rainey, CB Greg Toler, FB Stanley Havili, LB Kavell Conner, C Khaled Holmes and DT Montori Hughes inactive Week 12 against the Cardinals.

Both Conner, Toler and Havili were ruled out Friday. The other four players are healthy scratches.


Colts offense in decent shape heading into Sunday game

(11/22/2013) Running back Trent Richardson heads a short list of offensive player on the Colts injury report released on Friday. He is questionable for the Week 12 game against the Cardinals with a calf injury.

Stanley Havili (concussion) has been ruled out, but fellow fullback Dan Herron and wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey are probable with ankle injuries.

Rounding out are the report is linebacker Kavell Conner, who is out with an ankle injury.

Sitting out are safety LaRon Landry (ankle), linebacker Bjoern Werner (foot), running back Dan Herron, center Khaled Holmes, offensive tackle Xavier Nixon, defensive tackle Montori Hughes, and linebacker Kavell Conner.

Delano Howell will continue to start for Landry.


Colts DST dominates 49ers

(9/22/2013) The Colts DST handed 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick his first home loss in a dominant performance. Indianapolis forced two turnovers, got three sacks and held San Francisco to 254 yards in the 27-7 win.

Several defenders made big plays, including linebackers Robert Mathis (1.5 sacks) and Jerrell Freeman (8 tackles, sack). Cornerback Cassius Vaughn snagged an interception, and linebacker Kavell Conner recovered a fumble.

The Colts DST heads to Jacksonville in Week 4 with a ton of momentum.

(9/20/2013) The Colts could be without a number of key contributors on the defensive side of the ball in Week 3 against the 49ers, based on Friday's injury report. Safety LaRon Landry has already been ruled out, while Antoine Bethea is officially questionable with a toe injury. Defensive lineman Cory Redding is questionable with a back injury, while linebacker Pat Angerer is doubtful due to a knee injury.  Kavell Conner (ankle) is the only defensive player considered probable.

(9/6/2013) Colts inside linebacker Pat Angerer has been listed as doubtful for the season opener with a concussion, the team has announced. Backup inside linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle) is out while defensive end Fili Moala (foot) and wide receiver David Reed (head) are both questionable.

Listed as probable on the injury report are running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee), tight end Coby Fleener (knee), inside linebacker Mario Harvey (knee), safety Joe Lefeged (knee) and offensive lineman Mike McGlynn (knee).


Kavell Conner could miss 'a couple of weeks'

(8/30/2013) Colts linebacker Kavell Conner suffered an ankle injury that could cost him "a couple of weeks," head coach Chuck Pagano told the team's official website. Pagano also shot down any rumors of trading Conner before the start of the season.

"That's actually the first I've heard of that, but I’d be lying to you if I didn't say the phone lines in probably all 32 organizations ain't burning up," said Pagano. "It's just the nature of the business and the time of year that we're in."
