by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/11/2014) New Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith has made it clear he wants to upgrade at tight end. An ESPN.com says the plan could entail targeting free agent Garrett Graham, who caught 49 passes for 545 yards and five touchdowns with the Texans last season.

The Packers also reportedly are interested in Graham.

Texans trying to keep Garrett Graham

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/4/2014) The Texans are working on a contract extension for impending free agent tight end Garrett Graham, reports the NFL Network. But if Graham becomes a free agent, according to the report, the Packers are expected to express interest.

Graham, who played in college at Wisconsin, just finished his fourth season with the Texans. He had 49 catches for 545 yards and five touchdowns in 2013, all career highs.

Garrett Graham slated for three straight inactive

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/26/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham did not practice Thursday and has been ruled out for the Sunday game at Tennessee with a hamstring injury. He will end the season with three straight inactives.

Thanks partly to an injury to starter Owen Daniels, Graham recorded career-highs in 2013 in catches (49), receiving yards (545) and touchdowns (5).

Garrett Graham remains sidelined

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/22/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham is inactive for a second straight game because of a hamstring injury Week 16 against the Broncos. He was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

Ryan Griffin figures to get more playing time in Graham's absence.

Texans offensive quartet out or questionable for Week 16

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/20/2013) Four Texans offensive players have been ruled out or deemed questionable for Sunday against visiting Denver. None is a surprise, including quarterback Case Keenum (thumb), who won't play. Also out is wide receiver DeVier Posey (ankle).

Tight end Garrett Graham (hamstring) and fullback Brad Smelley (back) are questionable.

Hamstring injury still plaguing Garrett Graham

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/19/2013) If Texans starting tight end Garrett Graham is going to play Sunday against Denver, he better get better in a hurry. According to interim coach Wade Phillips, the hamstring injury that prevented Graham from playing in Week 15 has not improved, per the Houston Chronicle. Phillips expressed pessimism at the possibility of Graham suiting up.

His continued absence would thrust rookie Ryan Griffin back into the starting role. Griffin caught six passes for 62 yards in the loss to Indianapolis.

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/16/2013) Texans interim coach Wade Phillips said Monday tight end Garrett Graham, who sat out Week 15 with a hamstring injury, is still sore. Phillips added Graham is "iffy" to play Week 16 vs. Denver.

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com

Texans in trouble at tight end - Garrett Graham out again

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/12/2013) The Texans could be without a decent tight end Sunday at Indianapolis. Garrett Graham (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday.

Their only legitimate option if Graham can't play could be Jake Byrne, who returned to practice after missing the Wednesday session with an illness and has yet to catch a pass this season.

Three Texans tight ends absent from Wednesday practice

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/11/2013) The Texans are struggling to keep their tight ends healthy. Starter Owen Daniels remained out Wednesday as he continues to recover from a fractured fibula that has had him on IR since Week 5. He was deemed close to returning three weeks ago.

Also out on Wednesday were fellow tight ends Garrett Graham (hamstring) and Jake Byrne (flu).

Can Garrett Graham make it two in a row?

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/10/2013) Getting a season-high 14 targets, Texans tight end Garrett Graham turned in one of his best performances of the season Week 14 at Jacksonville, catching eight passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. It was his first touchdown in three games. He put up ess than 40 yards in each of the previous two.

Though his production has been inconsistent, his targets haven't. He has averaged 11.5 in his last four games, getting no fewer than nine in any of them. That bodes well for his matchup Week 15 at Indianapolis. The Colts rank 18th against the pass, allowing 241.5 points per game. They've allowed the 10th-fewest Fantasy points to tight ends, but they haven't faced any notable ones since Week 7 against the Broncos, when Julius Thomas had five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown against them.

Graham had four catches for 46 yards when he faced the Colts in Week 9, but he wasn't being targeted as much at the time. As many looks as he's getting now, both Jamey Eisenberg and Nathan Zegura like him as a top-12 tight end for this week. Dave Richard is a little more reserved, ranking him 15th.

Garrett Graham snaps slump, finds end zone

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/6/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham had his best game in three weeks Thursday, in a 27-20 loss to the Jaguars in Week 14.

Graham played a big part in the passing game, as he was targeted 14 times through the air. He brought in eight of those passes for 73 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Graham has already posted career-highs across the board this season, so everything from here on out will just pad his totals. He enters Week 15 against the Colts with 49 receptions for 545 yards and five touchdowns.

Garrett Graham keeps seeing targets

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/3/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham has averaged 10 targets per game over his last two, but has just eight catches for 68 total yards to show for it. The first of those two games came against the Jaguars in Week 12, when Graham caught five passes on nine targets for 32 yards.

Graham faces the Jaguars again this Thursday night, and while he's seeing plenty of targets, he isn't doing much with them. In Week 11, Graham was targeted 12 times and finished with 126 yards and a touchdown, but he benefited from a Case Keenum scramble and broken-play throw that saw him open in the end zone. Working in his favor for Week 14, however, is the matchup.

The Jaguars held Graham to 32 yards in Week 12, but fellow tight end Ryan Griffin also caught a pass for 37 yards, meaning the Jags allowed 69 total yards to the tight end position. In three of the last four games, the Jags have allowed 65 or more receiving yards to the position, along with two touchdowns.

Graham is far from a sure thing, but he's seeing a ton of passes, and is facing a defense that has allowed the third-most Fantasy points per game to tight ends this season. He's not someone to hang your playoff hopes on, but there's a good enough matchup here to start Graham in many streaming situations.

Garrett Graham does little Week 13 despite 11 targets

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham was heavily targeted Week 13 vs. New England, but he contributed very little during a 34-31 loss. Graham was held to three catches for 36 yards, despite a team-high 11 targets.

Graham, whose longest reception went 17 yards, has been held to less than 40 yards in two straight games since totaling a franchise-record 136 receiving yards Week 11. He's also gone two straight games without a touchdown.

The Texans have a quick turnaround Week 14, playing at Jacksonville Thursday.

Garrett Graham looking at average matchup Week 13

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/29/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham is facing an average matchup Week 13 against the Patriots.

The Pats have been about middle-of-the-pack against tight ends this season, allowing them to score 7.18 Fantasy points per game. The team has allowed 18 passing touchdowns in 11 games. Only four of those touchdowns have gone to tight ends.

Graham has been a fairly large part of the passing game since Case Keenum took over, catching 21 of his 38 receptions with Keenum at quarterback. He hasn't been a big threat to score with Keenum, though. After scoring three touchdowns in the first three weeks of the season, Graham has caught just one since. Graham probable isn't a strong matchup Week 13.

Garrett Graham draws nine targets in Week 12 loss

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/24/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham was targeted a team-high nine times Week 12 vs. Jacksonville, but he had a relatively quiet performance during a 13-6 loss. He totaled just five catches for 32 yards, with his longest reception going 8 yards.

Graham, who totaled a career-high 136 yards Week 11, had no catches on two targets in the first half. His quiet performance was due to quarterback Case Keenum's ineffectiveness Sunday. Keenum completed 18 of 34 passes for 169 yards and one interception.

The Texans are back in action Week 13 vs. New England.

Garrett Graham a player worth starting Week 12

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/20/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham set a franchise record for tight ends with 136 receiving yards Week 11 vs. Oakland. We now wait to see what he does for an encore performance Week 12 vs. Jacksonville.

The chances of Graham having another strong performance are quite high since tight ends perform quite well against Jacksonville. Tight ends average 67.8 receiving yards and 10.8 Fantasy points per week, which is the second-highest average. Tight ends have also totaled eight touchdowns against Jacksonville.

It might be tough for Graham to have another 100-yard performance Week 12, but No. 1 tight ends have averaged 8.5 Fantasy points per week in the last eight games against Jacksonville, so the chances of Graham having a good Fantasy week are strong. Because of the matchup, Graham passes as a viable Fantasy start Week 12.

Garrett Graham has career game in Week 11

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/17/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham caught seven passes for 136 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Raiders. Graham was targeted 13 times.

The touchdown -- a 42-yard pass which came in the second quarter on a Case Keenum scramble to the sideline -- was Graham's first since Week 4. It was the first 100-yard game of Graham's career, and the yardage eclipsed his previous career-high (82 yards) by over 50 yards.

Graham and the Texans host the Jaguars in Week 12.

Garrett Graham on a scoreless streak

by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(11/15/2013) Texans tight end Garrett Graham was on a roll to start the season -- three touchdowns in the first four games. Since then, though, Graham has failed to find the end zone, and has just one game with more than 40 receiving yards since Week 4.

This Sunday, Graham faces off against the Raiders, who have put up uneven numbers against tight ends this season. The Raiders have held tight ends to 6.1 Fantasy points per game, the 10th-lowest average in the league. But they have given up four of their five touchdowns to Graham-esque players -- Dwayne Allen, Clay Harbor, Zach Ertz, and Brent Celek.

There's not much to go on here -- Graham seems to have lost his early-season magic and Case Keenum taking over at quarterback didn't give him any significant bump. He's probably best left on benches in most leagues, but a desperate owner chasing touchdowns may want to take a risk on Graham fitting the profile of the tight ends who have scored against the Raiders and take a shot on him.

Texans backup pass catchers make minimal impact

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/10/2013) Texans WR DeVier Posey, TE Garrett Graham, FB Greg Jones and TE Ryan Griffin had a minimal impact on the passing game Week 10 against the Cardinals.

Posey did emerge as the club's third receiving option, catching three of his six targets for 34 yards. Griffin managed to score on a 2 yard catch, but had to leave the game with an injury. Graham had just 18 yards on two catches, and Jones caught one ball for 19 yards.

They'll take on Oakland Week 11.
