News: Multiple media outlets reports the Dolphins claimed cornerback Dimitri Patterson off waivers from the Browns Tuesday.
Analysis: The Dolphins could really use some help in their secondary due to injuries. Patterson has a chance to play a significant role with Miami, but he can be left on waivers in most IDP formats.
News:The Plain Dealer reports the Browns waived cornerback Dimitri Patterson Monday.
Analysis: Patterson signed a three-year deal in the offseason and started four games for Cleveland. But he missed seven games with an ankle injury and didn't make much of an impact upon his return. Clearly, the Browns felt they could part ways with Patterson. He has marginal Fantasy value in IDP formats when on an NFL roster.
News: Browns cornerback Dimitri Patterson told reporters Monday he has a lower left ankle sprain and he expects to miss a couple of weeks. Patterson was hurt Week 5 at N.Y. Giants.
Analysis: Patterson has seen a bump in stats the last few weeks as Joe Haden has been serving a suspension. Haden is back Week 6 and apparently just in time as Patterson gets hurt. Patterson will likely rotate at cornerback once active, so feel free to drop him in Fantasy while he is out.
News: Browns cornerback Dimitri Patterson sustained an ankle injury Week 5 at N.Y. Giants. He had three solo tackles and two pass defenses before leaving the game.
Analysis: Patterson has seen a bump in stats the last few weeks as Joe Haden has been serving a suspension. Haden will be back Week 6, so Patterson might rotate with Sheldon Brown at the other cornerback spot moving forward. Patterson has marginal Fantasy appeal when healthy.
News: Browns defensive back Dimitri Patterson had a productive game Thursday against the Ravens, as he finished Week 4 with a season-high 11 tackles in a 23-16 loss. He also added two passes defended in the game.
Analysis: Patterson now has 22 tackles on the season, just six shy of his total for last season. The Ravens targeted him often in the game, as he is starting in place of the suspended Joe Haden. He is not worth adding in most Fantasy IDP formats at this time.
News: The Browns have re-signed cornerback Dimitri Patterson to a three-year deal. He's expected to be at least the nickel corner for the Browns, if not a start for them.
Analysis: Patterson is a decent cornerback but not someone we can expect big Fantasy totals from. Leave him off rosters.
News: Cleveland DB Dimitri Patterson had a season-high seven tackles, including six solo stops, during the Browns' 24-17 loss at Oakland in Week 6 on Sunday. Patterson doubled his season total for tackles as he also recorded a pass defended.
Analysis: Patterson effectively rebounded from his lowly performance in Week 4 against Tennessee (one tackle) and finished third for most tackles on the team. Patterson is still searching for his first interception and should remain untouched in all Fantasy IDP formats for now.
News: The Browns announced Wednesday that they have come to terms with free agent cornerback Dimitri Patterson. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The spot-starter had a chance to play more than usual last season with Philadelphia, starting nine games on the way to recording a career-high 62 tackles and four interceptions.
Analysis: Patterson was a casualty of the Eagles' free-agent frenzy in the offseason, with little-to-no chance of returning to the team as a member of the secondary. He has the chance to compete for a starting job with the Browns, so Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his progress early on with his new team. Patterson is a marginal option in IDP formats for now, but if he wins the job he may be a bit of a sleeper in 2011. Don't reach for him in the early to middle rounds on Draft Day.
News: Even though Eagles DB Ellis Hobbs is back to practice after missing the last two games with a hip-flexor injury, Dimitri Patterson will remain the starter at right cornerback in the Week 11 game against the Giants. Patterson had two interceptions in Sunday's 59-28 win over the Washington Redskins, including one the he returned for a touchdown. "Dimitri has always had the skill-set that he has," defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said. "It's just been a matter of getting him on the field on a consistent basis to display his talents.
Analysis: Patterson will be making his third consecutive start at CB, filling in for Hobbs. He has three interceptions on the season to go along with 22 tackles and five passes defended. Patterson remains a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats at this point but could see an increase in Fantasy value if he continues to play well.
News: Eagles DB Dimitri Patterson had a big game in Week 10 against the Redskins. Patterson picked off Donovan McNabb twice in the 59-28 win, and returned the second one 40 yards for a touchdown. Patterson finished with five tackles in the win to go along with two interceptions and two passes defended.
Analysis: Patterson has been starting with Ellis Hobbs sidelined by a hip injury and was been making the most of his playing time. He now has three interceptions on the season to go along with 22 tackles and five passes defended. Patterson remains a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats at this point but could see an increase in Fantasy value if he continues to play well.
News: DB Dimitri Patterson has replaced Ellis Hobbs as the right cornerback for the Eagles. The sixth-year pro will start against Peyton Manning and the Colts in Week 9. "It was a surprise, but it's an opportunity, so I'm grateful for it," Patterson said of his promotion. "Any time I'm able to get on the field, it's a beautiful thing. I just try to go in there and make a statement. That's my goal. If I get five reps in a game, I'm trying to make a statement to everybody in the league and I'm going to do that Sunday and for the rest of my career." Patterson, a career special-teams player, took over for Hobbs on Monday in Philadelphia's first practice since Kenny Britt had 225 yards receiving in Tennessee's 37-19 win against the Eagles on Oct. 24.
Analysis: Patterson signed as an undrafted free agent with Washington in 2005. He was briefly on Minnesota's practice squad in 2006 and then spent 2007 and 2008 with Kansas City before joining the Eagles. Patterson has 11 tackles with an interception and two passes defended on the year and obviously gains value with this promotion. He remains a low-end option in Fantasy IDP formats at this point but could be worth more if he plays well.
News: DB Dimitri Patterson snagged his second career interception in the Week 5 win over the 49ers. He was picked on early in the game and gave up a touchdown to Michael Crabtree but redeemed himself with the pick later in the game. He added three solo tackles in the victory, two on special teams.

News: The Eagles have announced the inactives for their Week 9 game at Philadelphia: RB Brian Westbrook, DB Dimitri Patterson, LB Chris Gocong, WR Kevin Curtis, DL Victor Abiamiri and RB P.J. Hill.

Analysis: Patterson is not a relevant Fantasy player and can be ignored in all formats.
News: Philadelphia has listed the following players as being inactive for Week 7 at Washington on Monday night: DB Dimitri Patterson, LB Joe Mays, WR Kevin Curtis, DL Victor Abiamiri and LB Omar Gaither. Kevin Kolb is the 3rd QB.
Analysis: This is the fourth game in a row that Curtis will miss with the knee injury and Fantasy owners should not plan on having him back any time soon. Even when healthy, Curtis is just a low-end Fantasy option to begin with. The same goes for the rest of the players listed above.
News: Eagles DE Victor Abiamiri (knee), LB Omar Gaither (foot) and CB Dimitri Patterson have all been ruled out of the team's Week 7 game at Washington on Monday night.
Analysis: Gaither has already been ruled out for the rest of the season while Patterson and Abiamiri have minimal Fantasy value at best. Obviously, keep them all out of lineups in Week 7.
News: The Eagles' list of inactives for Week 6 at Oakland includes WR Brandon Gibson, DB Dimitri Patterson, LB Joe Mays, DL Jason Babin and QB Kevin Kolb.
Analysis: Kolb had some Fantasy appeal when Donovan McNabb was injured, but not anymore. He and the rest of these players belong on waivers in Fantasy.
News: Eagles DB Dimitri Patterson (quadricep, hamstring) has been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game at Oakland.
Analysis: Patterson is not a relevant Fantasy player and can continue to be ignored in al Fantasy formats.
News: The Eagles have announced the inactives for their Week 3 game vs. Kansas City: QB Donovan McNabb, RB Brian Westbrook, WR Kevin Curtis, DB Quintin Demps, DB Dimitri Patterson and DE Jason Babin.
Analysis: Curtis, McNabb and Westbrook are Fantasy studs and should be benched in all formats. The others, not so much. Continue to ignore them.
News: Eagles DB Dimitri Patterson (hand) has been ruled out for Week 3 vs. Kansas City.
Analysis: Patterson has just one tackle in two games. He is a backup DB for the Eagles and has little to no Fantasy value when healthy.

Analysis: If Peterson ends up making the team, it'll only be as a reserve. He should not be owned in any Fantasy format.

News: The Chiefs' list of inactives for Week 6 against the Bengals includes DB Dimitri Patterson, WR Bobby Sippio, DL James Reed, LB Keyaron Fox and QB Tyler Thigpen.

For the Chiefs, CB Benny Sapp, CB Dimitri Patterson, G Herb Taylor, T Kyle Turley, WR Bobby Sippio, DT James Reed, LB Keyaron Fox and QB Tyler Thigpen (No. 3/emergency QB) are inactive.
Analysis: None of these players are considered reliable Fantasy options, so don't have any on your Fantasy roster.
News: Chiefs DB Dimitri Patterson (ankle) is out for Week 5 vs. Jacksonville. Patterson did not practice all week and will miss his first game of the season. He has four tackles in four games.
Analysis: Patterson is a reserve DB for the Chiefs and won't see significant playing time until a starter goes down with injury. Ignore him in Fantasy IDP leagues.
News: According to The Sports Xchange, CB Benny Sapp, the team's top corner reserve and nickel back, rolled an ankle and will miss the Week 4 game at San Diego. The Chiefs will use either Tyron Brackenridge or Dimitri Patterson as their nickel.
Analysis: As reserve DBs who only see the field in passing situations, none of these players have any Fantasy value.
News: The Chiefs signed the following players to two-year reserve/future contracts: DB Robb Butler, FB Greg Hanoian, DT Brian Howard, QB Omar Jacobs, TE Adam Johnson, DE Montez Murphy, CB Zach Norton, CB Dimitri Patterson, CB Justin Phinisee, LB Nick Reid, TE Keith Willis and LB Timi Wusu.
Analysis: None of these players should be considered for standard Fantasy use at this time.

Analysis: Neither player should be owned in Fantasy play.
