Browns unsure if Marlon Moore will play Sunday

(12/15/2014) With Browns wide receiver Marlon Moore continuing to deal with a hamstring injury, Browns coach Mike Pettine said Moore has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Carolina, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

Moore has appeared in 11 games for the Browns this season, but has yet to record a reception.

(12/5/2014) The Browns have ruled out tight end Gary Barnidge (rib), defensive back Tashaun Gipson (knee) and defensive back Robert Nelson (hamstring) for Week 14 against Indianapolis. 

Running back Isaiah Crowell (hip), Jordan Cameron (concussion), linebacker Jabaal Sheard (foot) and linebacker Karlos Dansby (knee) were deemed questionable.

Meanwhile, linebacker Paul Kruger (illness), center Nick McDonald (ankle, knee), linebacker Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) and wide receiver Marlon Moore (hamstring) were all designated as probable.

(11/30/2014) Five injured Browns have been ruled out for the Week 13 game against the host Bills. They are free safety Tashaun Gipson (knee), linebacker Karlos Dansby (knee), cornerback Justin Gilbert (illness), wideout Marlon Moore (hamstring) and tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion). The latter will be missing his fifth straight game.

The healthy scratches are wide receiver Rodney Smith and offensive lineman Vinston Painter.

(11/28/2014) The Browns have issued their injury report for their Sunday game in Buffalo. Included on it are safety Tashaun Gipson (knee), wideout Marlon Moore (hamstring) and linebacker Karlos Dansby (knee), all of whom have been ruled out.

Tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion), linebacker Jabaal Sheard (foot) and defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin (back) are all questionable while linebacker Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) is probable.

(10/3/2014) The Browns are in fine shape heading into their Sunday game at Tennessee. Defensive end Desmond Bryant (glute) is the lone questionable player on their injury report and he practiced Friday on a limited basis.

Running back Ben Tate (knee), tight end Jordan Cameron (shoulder) and linebacker Barkevious Mingo (shoulder) headline the group of probables. Filling out that designation are cornerback Buster Skrine (thumb) and wideout Marlon Moore (illness).

Moore was suspended for the first game of the season in May for an unspecified reason, so hell be eligible to take the field in Week 2 if he makes the team. He had seven receptions for 62 yards while playing with Miami and San Francisco last season.

(12/29/2013) Dolphins reserve wide receivers Rishard Matthews and Marlon Moore were pressed into extra action in Week 17 against the Jets, with Brian Hartline going down with a knee injury.

Matthews actually led the team in receiving yards in the game, as he hauled in four of the seven passes thrown his way for 58 yards. Moore was less productive, finishing with 25 yards on three catches in a 20-7 loss.

(12/27/2013) The Dolphins have placed 10 players on their Friday injury report, but only running back Daniel Thomas (ankle) is questionable for the critical battle against the Jets. The others are probable, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee). The other offensive players are wide receivers Brian Hartline (knee) and Marlon Moore (wrist).

The defensive probables are defensive backs Jamar Taylor (hamstring), Don Jones (elbow/abdomen) and Chris Clemons (knee/hamstring), linebacker Koa Misi (triceps) and tackles Jared Odrick (wrist) and Paul Soliai (ankle).

(10/13/2013) Several 49ers made minor offensive contributions in the win over Arizona. Running back Anthony Dixon ran three times for 4 yards and caught a 3-yard pass. Fullback Bruce Miller carried twice for 6 yards and caught an 11-yard pass.

Wideout Marlon Moore had a 9-yard run, receiver Kyle Williams made a 14-yard catch and receiver Jon Baldwin had a 9-yard grab. Tight end Vance McDonald caught a 7-yard pass.

(9/16/2013) The 49ers received minor offensive contributions from a few role players during Sunday night's loss to the Seahawks in Week 2.

Vance McDonald, who took over for an injured Vernon Davis, had one catch for 19 yards and two targets. Fullback Bruce Miller was the team's second-leading receiver with two catches for 22 yards on five targets. Marlon Moore caught a short, 6-yard pass late in the fourth quarter. It was his only catch of the night. Quinton Patton also played but was held without a target.

In addition, Kendall Hunter had one carry for minus-7 yards and Anthony Dixon received one carry for a 4-yard gain in a 29-3 defeat.


49ers receive several minor contributions Week 1

(9/8/2013) The 49ers received minor offensive contributions from a few role players in the passing game Week 1 against the Packers.

In the passing game, wide receiver Kyle Williams got the nod over Marlon Moore and Quinton Patton. He totaled three catches (six targets) 36 yards. Moore received one target and was held without a catch. Patton didn't enter the game until the start of the third quarter and was also held without a catch.

Tight end Vance McDonald totaled one catch (two targets) for 25 yards and fullback Bruce Miller caught two passes for 24 yards.

The 49ers will travel to Seattle for Week 2.
