Moore received one target and was held without a catch. Patton didn't enter the game until the start of the third quarter and was also held without a catch.

The 49ers will travel to Seattle for Week 2.

Marlon Moore set for bigger role

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/6/2013) 49ers wide receiver Marlon Moore is set to have a bigger role this season than at any point in his career prior, and that will begin Sunday against the Packers in Week 1.

Moore has just 12 catches for 244 yards in his four-year NFL career, but is expected to work as the No. 3 receiver in the 49ers offense. The 49ers faced the Packers twice last season, and did not get much production from their wideouts, as they averaged just 149.5 yards on 13.5 catches in those games.

Moore's lack of track record makes him risky Fantasy option, though the possibility of a shootout in this game makes him a possible flier option in very deep Fantasy formats. Our Dave Richard has him ranked 48th among wide receivers for Week 1.

49ers still waiting on WR to step up

by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(8/9/2013) The 49ers are looking for a receiver to step up opposite Anquan Boldin with Michael Crabtree (Achilles) out, and the group had mixed results during Thursday's preseason opener against Denver, reports the Sacramento Bee.

Coach Jim Harbaugh praised receivers Marlon Moore, who started the game, and Kassim Osgood, who played well both on offense and on special teams. As far as A.J. Jenkins, who played more snaps than any other receiver but who ranked 10th in receiving yards Thursday. "Ah, it could have been better," Harbaugh said.

Newcomer Austin Collie got into the game at the end and had two catches for 20 yards. "A little foreign because it's been so long," said Collie, who missed most of the 2012 season with a knee injury. "But it felt good."

Marlon Moore makes brief debut with 49ers

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/9/2013) 49ers wide receiver Marlon Moore made his brief debut with his new team in Thursday's preseason opener against the Broncos.

Moore, who spent last season with the Dolphins, made his only appearance in the opening drive with Colin Kaepernick under center. He caught his only targeted pass and stretched up the field for a 12-yard gain.

49ers WR roundup: Hall impressing, Jenkins not

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/30/2013) The 49ers have a hole to fill opposite Anquan Boldin with Michael Crabtree expected to miss much of the regular season but no one's stepped up thus far in camp. Kyle Williams (hamstring) and Ricardo Lockette (hip) both are sidelined and Marlon Moore, Kassim Osgood and Quinton Patton (jammed finger) appear gimpy as well according to Comcast Sportsnet.

Second-year receiver and former first-round pick A.J. Jenkins hasn't ascended, per the report. He didn't have any receptions in team drills on Sunday and remains undistinguished.

If there's been a bright spot, it's been Chad Hall. Per the report, he's made the biggest impact of all the receivers and has even caught the eye of teammate Vernon Davis.

"I really like Chad," Davis said. "He's quick, he's fast, (and) he's doing everything that the coaches are asking him to do and he comes to work."
