Week 8 Defensive Matchup Tracker

In most leagues, we're more than halfway through the Fantasy Football regular season. That said, you should still be involved in what's in store for your squad. That's where CBSSports.com comes in with our newest tool, the Interactive Defense Matchup Tracker, or IDMT. It's something you won't find anywhere else, and it's a tool you should never make a roster decision without.

What we've done is taken every significant Fantasy Football player and scouted their matchups for the rest of the season. Got a conundrum between two players? This is the place to see which one has the better matchup in a given period of weeks or for the rest of the season.

For example, see any red dots on Mike Bell, Pierre Thomas or Reggie Bush's upcoming schedule? That's because the Saints pretty much will line up against middle-to-bottom run defenses, which is solid for those players (who will put up the most stats from week to week remains a puzzle). Or check out Aaron Rodgers and his receivers' upcoming schedule: Red dots? Not so much, which means they should find ways to post good stats for your Fantasy teams. The more green you see, the more favorable that player's schedule is going forward.

Remember, running back matchups in the IDMT only take into account opposing run defenses while quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends only take into account opposing pass defenses. Also, you can pick and choose players just from your Fantasy team by deselecting "all" under the Selected Players list.

Click around, customize the data to your specific players and get educated! Also, we'd love to get your thoughts on this new feature -- drop us a line at DMFantasyFootball@cbs.com and put Attn: IDMT in the subject line.

Good luck in Week 8!

At first I thought  it was a Scan-Tron sheet and was ready to pull out my #2 pencil.  hahaha Anyways, They say Top 10 Defense Team.  What if the Defensive team is last against the pass and first against the run.  Are they still a top 10 team.   If this works for anyone I gotta know?
