Buccaneers WR Jackson (groin) doubtful to return

(1:34 pm ET) Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is doubtful to return to the Sunday game against New Orleans after sustaining a groin injury.

He was in long enough to catch an 11-yard pass that put him over 1,000 on the year. He has exceeded that number in four consecutive seasons.


Giants S Stevie Brown carted off with left foot injury

(1:32 pm ET) Giants safety Stevie Brown suffered a left foot injury while making an interception in the first quarter against the Eagles. Brown was carted off the field.

The interception was overturned due to a penalty.


Giants S Nat Berhe helped off the field

(1:21 pm ET) Giants safety Nat Berhe injured his knee on a kickoff return in the first quarter of the game against the Eagles. Berhe was helped off the field holding his right knee.

Report: Browns WR Gordon launching legal battle

(1:01 pm ET) Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will be fighting against the Week 17 suspension that will prevent him from reaching unrestricted free agent status after next season, per ESPN. He will not be unrestricted until 2016 if his camp cannot battle successfully against the ruling.

Gordon was suspended for missing a Saturday morning walkthrough. He missed the first 10 games of the year due to yet another drug suspension.


Report: Dolphins suspend Walt Aikens for season finale

(12:32 pm ET) Sources indicated Dolphins safety Walt Aikens has been suspended for the season finale against the Jets, reports the Sun Sentinel.

There was no indication as to why Aikens was suspended. He was declared inactive for Week 17. In 15 games, Aikens has 15 tackles and one interception.


Inactive status for Saints CB Vaccaro a head-scratcher

(12:27 pm ET) The inclusion of safety Kenny Vaccaro on the inactive list for the Saints on Sunday is a surprise, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He practiced fully all week despite what has reportedly been a nagging quad injury.

NFL Network had claimed before the game two weeks ago against Chicago that Vaccaro was destined to be benched, but he played in that game as a nickel back. He started in Week 16.


Five healthy scratches pepper inactive list for Ravens

(12:21 pm ET) Only two injured Ravens dot their inactive list for the Week 17 clash against Cleveland. They are defensive end Chris Canty (ankle/thigh) and tackle Eugene Monroe (ankle).

The healthy scratches are safety Brynden Trawick, cornerback Chris Greenwood, defensive linemen Steven Means and Terrence Cody and tight end Phillip Supernaw.


RB Matt Asiata, WR Greg Jennings among Vikes ready to go

(12:21 pm ET) Vikings running back Matt Asiata (foot) and wideout Greg Jennings (hamstring) are active for the game against Chicago after being listed as probable. They're among a slew of probables suiting up for Minnesota.

The list includes safety Robert Blanton (ankle), safety Antone Exum (knee), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee), tight end Chase Ford (foot), offensive tackle Michael Harris (foot), guard Charlie Johnson (ankle) and safety Andrew Sendejo (thumb). Wideout Jarius Wright is active after being questionable with a back injury.


Mathews, Allen among Chargers' inactives for Week 17

(12:18 pm ET) The Chargers listed running back Ryan Mathews and wide receiver Keenan Allen as inactive for Week 17’s game against the Chiefs.

Mathews is nursing an ankle injury, while Allen is suffering from an ankle and shoulder injury.

Other players listed as inactive included Mike Scifres, Damion Square, Greg Ducre, Ryan Carrethers and Cordarro Law .


Suggs to play, Canty to sit Sunday against Cleveland

(12:17 pm ET) The Ravens have offered both good and bad news in regard to two defenders that had been deemed questionable for the Sunday game against visiting Cleveland.

The good news is that linebacker Terrell Suggs (back/thigh) has been cleared despite missing an entire week of practice. The bad news is that lineman Chris Canty (ankle/thigh) has been ruled out.
