Report: Jaguars continue talks with Tyson Alualu, J.T. Thomas

(1:58 pm ET) The Jaguars have continued contract talks with defensive end Tyson Alualu and linebacker J.T. Thomas, the Florida Times-Union reports.

The team has yet to decide whether to tender any of its restricted free agents. Both Alualu and Thomas received negative overall ratings from Pro Football Focus in 2014.


Report: Cowboys place franchise tag on Dez Bryant

(1:53 pm ET) The Cowboys have placed the franchise tag on wide receiver Dez Bryant, according to FOX Sports and multiple reports.

It was reported over the weekend that the team planned to tag Bryant before Monday's deadline if a long-term deal could not be worked out. The two sides will likely continue to negotiate a deal to keep Bryant with the Cowboys past the 2015 season.

With Bryant receiving the tag, running back DeMarco Murray is on track to reach free agency.


Report: Buccaneers shopping OT Anthony Collins

(1:45 pm ET) The Buccaneers are shopping offensive tackle Anthony Collins and will cut him if they can't strike a deal, NFL.com reports.

Collins signed a five-year, $30-million deal with the team last offseason and graded 63rd out of 84 tackles in overall rating, per Pro Football Focus, particularly struggling against the pass. Just $3 million of his 2015 base salary is guaranteed, and the team will be off the hook for the rest of the contract if he is released beore March 12.


Dolphins release OL Nate Garner

(1:24 pm ET) The Dolphins released offensive lineman Nate Garner, who started 19 games over the past six seasons with Miami, reports the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The move cleared $1.65 million in cap space.

Ravens waive CB Victor Hampton

(12:58 pm ET) The Ravens announced they waived cornerback Victor Hampton, who was arrested on a DUI charge Saturday night in Charlotte. Hampton signed with Baltimore in January after being on the Giants' practice squad last season.

Lions work out DT Kendall Langford

(12:48 pm ET) Defensive tackle Kendall Langford, released by the Rams last week, worked out for the Lions, reports MLive.com. Langford, 29, spent the past three seasons with St. Louis, recording 25 tackles and a sack last year.

Detroit is in the market for defensive tackles with Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley headed for free agency.


LB Dwight Freeney to return for 14th season

(11:45 am ET) Impending free agent linebacker Dwight Freeney has decided to return for a 14th season, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune. Freeney was an effective performer in 2014, leading the Chargers with 40 quarterback hurries and registering 3.5 sacks with 10 tackles.

He ranks 20th all-time with 111.5 career sacks. The paper said it's unclear whether Freeney, 35, will return to San Diego or land elsewhere.


Report: Jacoby Jones to visit Bengals, Titans

(11:34 am ET) Receiver/returner Jacoby Jones, released by the Ravens last week, is scheduled to visit the Bengals and Titans this week, reports Pro Football Talk. Jones caught just nine passes last year, but averaged 30 yards per kickoff return.

The 30-year-old Jones has returned five kickoffs and four punts for touchdowns in his career.


Dolphins' Jimmy Wilson expected to reach free agency

(11:23 am ET) Dolphins' defensive back Jimmy Wilson is not expected to re-sign with the team before the start of free agency, the Palm Beach Post reports.

A seventh-round draft pick in 2011, Wilson served as a slot cornerback and reserve safety last season. Wilson could have an opportunity at starting at safety if he were to come back to Miami next season, as the team will likely be looking to fill the spot next to Reshad Jones.


Vikings want Chad Greenway back in 2015

(11:02 am ET) With Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway in the final year of his contract, general manager Rick Spielman said the team wants to bring Greenway back in 2015, reports the StarTribune.

Greenway is due to make $7 million in 2015, but he may have to take a pay cut to remain with the Vikings.

"We have a lot of things that we'll be working through between now and before March 10th, but we'd love to have Chad Greenway back and finish [his career] as a Minnesota Viking," Spielman said.
