Raiders can't solve Arian Foster, Texans

(10:54 pm ET) The Raiders had some issues containing Arian Foster in a Week 2 loss to the Texans at home on Sunday.

Foster gashed the defense for 138 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Oakland permitted 327 yards of total offense, 188 of which came on the ground. None other than J.J. Watt caught a touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick from 1-yard out. The team also failed to force a turnover and record a sack in a 30-14 defeat.

The Raiders will travel to New England for a Week 3 showdown against the Patriots.


Charles Tillman suffers another triceps injury

(10:52 pm ET) Bears cornerback Charles Tillman was forced from Sunday night's game in San Francisco in the third quarter with a right triceps injury. Tillman missed seven games last year with a torn right triceps.

He had four tackles and a pass breakup against the 49ers.


Sebastian Janikowski not asked to do much vs. Texans

(10:37 pm ET) Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski was not asked to do much in a Week 2 loss to the Texans at home on Sunday. The team did not use him for any field goal attempts. He finished with two extra points in a 30-14 loss.

Texans keep Randy Bullock busy in Week 2 win

(10:34 pm ET) Texans kicker Randy Bullock was kept busy in a Week 2 win over the Raiders.

Bullock converted a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter, a 39-yard shot in the third and a 46-yarder in the fourth quarter. However, he had a 27-yard attempt blocked late in the fourth quarter. He went 3 for 4 in field goal attempts, and tacked on three extra points in a 30-14 victory.

Early diagnosis: Jamaal Charles has 'mild' ankle sprain

(10:34 pm ET) The early indication is that Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has a "mild" ankle sprain, reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. The team is hopeful Charles won't miss "significant time," La Canfora added.

Patrick Murray has an up-and-down performance in Week 2

(10:31 pm ET) Buccaneers kicker Patrick Murray had an up-and-down performance in Week 2 against the Rams.

Murray had his first career field goal attempt -- a 24-yard kick -- blocked by T.J. McDonald. He bounced back with a 36-yard field goal late in the fourth. He finished 1 for 2 in field goal attempts, and tacked on a two extra points in a 19-17 defeat.

Greg Zuerlein kicks game-winner vs. Tampa Bay

(10:30 pm ET) Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein kicked a 38-yard field goal with 38 seconds remaining to secure a 19-17 Week 2 win over the Buccaneers. Zuerlein converted kicks from 36, 35, 46 and 38 yards out. He finished 4 for 4 in field goal attempts and tacked on one extra point in a 19-17 victory.

Vance McDonald returns from knee injury

Raiders get minor contributions from role players in Week 2

(10:28 pm ET) The Raiders received minor contributions from several role players in a Week 2 loss to the Texans. Running back Latavius Murray took a backseat to Darren McFadden and was limited to only one handoff for a gain of 6 yards. Fullback Marcel Reece caught one pass for a gain of 11 yards, while receiver Brice Butler was held to one reception for minus-2 yards.
