It's the latest positive feedback on Hill, who's been a major disappointment with 45 catches through two seasons.

Jesse Williams might need knee surgery

(3:36 pm ET) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters that defensive tackle Jesse Williams has a potentially serious knee injury that might require surgery. Williams spent last season on IR with a knee injury.

LeSean McCoy sheds weight, 'feels much more explosive'

(3:25 pm ET) Reigning NFL rushing leader LeSean McCoy said he lost 5-7 pounds and "feels much more explosive," reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. McCoy said he "wanted to do it for Chip's offense."

In coach Chip Kelly's up-tempo attack, McCoy ran for 1,607 yards and scored 11 touchdowns last season as the Eagles made the playoffs.

Report: Marshawn Lynch ending holdout

(3:08 pm ET) Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch plans to end his holdout in the next 24 hours and report to training camp, reports ESPN. He won't get the new deal he was seeking, according to reporter Adam Schefter, but the team will "add some financial concessions to his contract."

Coaches compare Carlos Hyde to Frank Gore

(2:53 pm ET) 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh paraphrased offensive coordinator Greg Roman in comparing rookie running back Carlos Hyde to veteran Frank Gore. 

"Carlos gets football, understands football," Harbaugh told CSNBayArea.com, echoing a comment by Roman. "It’s natural for him to understand the game, similar to Frank Gore. And we're seeing those things, and both are very good signs and bode well for us."

Currently running as Gore's backup, Hyde rushed for nearly 2,500 yards and 31 touchdowns in his final two seasons at Ohio State.

Doctors 'very hesitant' to clear David Wilson

(2:03 pm ET) Doctors evaluating Giants running back David Wilson after the neck stinger he suffered Tuesday are "very hesitant to clear him to return to football," reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, adding there's "far less optimism than last time."

Wilson gained clearance following his January neck surgery. But now it appears his career might be over at age 23.
