Gerald McCoy aiming for Week 4 return
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:54 pm ET) Buccaneers defensive lineman Gerald McCoy told the Tampa Tribune Friday he thinks he might end up missing just one game as a result of a broken hand, after sitting out Thursday's loss to the Falcons.

McCoy is targeting a return to action in Week 4 against the Steelers, noting that his hand is in a splint, not a cast. The extra time off following Thursday's game could give him a better chance of returning next Sunday.

(12:44 pm ET) Packers offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga is questionable for Week 3 against the Lions, due to a knee injury, the team announced.

Packers rule out just one on defense for Week 3
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:40 pm ET) The Packers unveiled their injury report for Week 3, and they don't have many question marks on the defensive side of the ball for Week 3 against the Lions.

Defensive back Micah Hyde (knee) is probable for Week 3, while fellow defensive back Casey Hayward is questionable with a glute injury. Linebacker Brad Jones is the only player ruled out on defense, as he deals with a quadriceps injury.

Jordan Reed ruled out again for Week 3
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:37 pm ET) Redskins tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Eagles, as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. This is the second game in a row Reed has missed, after he was unable to take part in practice this week.

DeSean Jackson questionable for Week 3
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:36 pm ET) Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson was limited at practice Friday, though head coach Jay Gruden told reporters he "did good today" with a shoulder injury.

Jackson is officially listed on the injury report for Week 3 against the Eagles as questionable, and a final determination on his status could come during Saturday's walkthrough.

Jordan Cameron in action Friday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12:34 pm ET) Browns tight end Jordan Cameron is practicing again Friday. Though the extent of his participation will not be revealed until the team issues its injury report, he appears likely to be active for the Sunday game against visiting Baltimore.

Cameron missed the Week 2 clash with a shoulder injury.

Report: Cardinals placing John Abraham on IR
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:27 pm ET) The Cardinals are placing linebacker John Abraham on injured reserve due to ongoing concussion issues, ESPN.com reports Friday.

Abraham had left the team last week after suffering from memory loss due to concussions, but returned to the team shortly after. Unfortunately, he was never able to get through the concussion protocol, and the team has apparently opted to end his season rather than allow him to try and return.

Report: Josh McCown believed to have sprained thumb
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:10 pm ET) Buccaneers quarterback Josh McCown is set to undergo an MRI on his right thumb Friday, NFL.com reports.

McCown suffered the injury in Thursday's loss to the Falcons, and was unable to return to the game. The extent of the injury is not yet known, but the team believes it is sprained at this point, according to the report.

Joseph Randle back at practice after two days off
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12:07 pm ET) Cowboys running back Joseph Randle returned to practice Friday, according to ESPN.com, after missing two days of practice with a concussion. Whether he will be cleared to play in Week 3 against the Rams remains to be seen, but it should become clearer when the team unveils it's official injury report later Friday.

Bernard Pierce practicing Friday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11:52 am ET) Ravens featured back Bernard Pierce is participating in Friday practice despite a thigh ailment that limited him in the Thursday session.

Pierce certainly appeared healthy in Week 2 against Pittsburgh when he rushed for 96 yards in 22 carries. His team plays at Cleveland on Sunday.
