DeSean Jackson might practice Friday
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2:55 pm ET) Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson (shoulder) did not practice for a second straight day Thursday. Though, coach Jay Gruden said he hopes to see progress Friday.

The Redskins are preparing to play Jackson's former team and NFC East foe Philadelphia.

Jamaal Charles returns to practice?
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2:50 pm ET) Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, who suffered a high ankle sprain Week 2, was spotted on the practice field Thursday during the portion open to the media, reports The Kansas City Star

Charles went through warmups, then spent a brief period with the trainers. He then joined the other running backs and went through drills. Though, it is unknown if Charles participated in team drills.

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2:45 pm ET) The Cardinals announced Thursday they have moved running back Jonathan Dwyer to the reserve/non-football illness list. Dwyer was arrested Wednesday on charges related to domestic violence.

Ankle injury not expected to hinder Chris Johnson
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2:38 pm ET) Jets running back Chris Johnson was limited in practice Thursday due to an ankle injury. However, coach Rex Ryan believes Johnson will be OK for Week 3 against the Bears.

Ankle injury could keep Robert Woods out in Week 3
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:28 pm ET) Bills wide receiver Robert Woods was a no-go in Thursday practice as his chances for playing Sunday against San Diego continue to diminish. Doug Marrone contended that the ankle injury that has plagued Woods would keep him out against the Chargers if it did not improve.

Woods followed a fine season opener in which he caught four passes for 78 yards with a one-catch performance against Miami in Week 2.

Dennis Pitta a solid Week 3 start
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2:23 pm ET) Dennis Pitta got Kubiak-ed in Week 2 against the Steelers when his backup, Owen Daniels, scored two touchdowns. The irony is Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak used to steal touchdowns from Daniels all the time when he coached the Texans.

Don't panic about Pitta. He had 10 catches for 83 yards in Week 1 against the Bengals and he should remain a significant contributor most weeks, including here.

The Browns were just beat up by Jimmy Graham in Week 2 at home, which happens to most teams, and Graham had 10 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns as Cleveland tried to limit the Saints from throwing downfield.

If the Browns do that against the Ravens this week then count on Pitta having a big game.

Start Delanie Walker Week 3
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2:12 pm ET) As the offensive coordinator for the Chargers last season, Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt faced the Bengals twice, including the playoffs.

Both times he was able to get tight end Ladarius Green in the end zone. Whisenhunt will try and use a similar game plan for Delanie Walker, who is off to a ridiculous start this season.

Walker has 13 catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets and he should remain a starter in all leagues. The Bengals struggled in Week 1 against the Ravens when Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels combined for 14 catches for 117 yards, which bodes well for Walker.

For a complete list of Week 3 options, read my latest Start 'Em and Sit 'Em.

Brandon Watts returns to action for Vikings
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:11 pm ET) Vikings rookie linebacker Brandon Watts has returned to practice after missing a month with a left knee injury. He received second-team reps, per the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Watts played only in the first two preseason games before going down.

Lamar Miller practices again Thursday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:06 pm ET) Dolphins tailback Lamar Miller appears all but set for action Sunday against Kansas City after practicing again Thursday. He has been nursing an ankle injury sustained in Week 2 against Buffalo.

Miller has been solid in 2014 with 105 yards in 22 carries for 4.8 YPC.

Jerrell Freeman still has shot at Sunday action
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(2:00 pm ET) Colts linebacker Jerrell Freeman is still nursing a hamstring injury, but defensive coordinator Greg Manusky has not ruled him out for the Sunday game against Jacksonville, per the Indianapolis Star.

Freeman contributed seven tackles and one forced fumble in Week 1, but did not play Monday night against Philadelphia.
