Chris Conte ruled out

(11:18 pm ET) Bears safety Chris Conte, who suffered a shoulder injury in the first half against the 49ers, won't return to Sunday night's game. He watched the fourth quarter in street clothes.

Conte has an interception in both games this season.


Clinton McDonald, William Gholston each come away with a pick

(11:12 pm ET) Buccaneers defensive linemen Clinton McDonald and William Gholston each came away with a sack Week 2 against the Rams. McDonald sacked Austin Davis in the third quarter, while Gholston took down the quarterback in the fourth quarter. McDonald registered seven total tackles (six solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss. Gholston registered six total tackles (four solo), with one sack and one tackle for loss. 

Jay Ratliff evaluated for concussion

Dashon Goldson has a monster Week 2 performance

(11:11 pm ET) Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson had monster game at home against the Rams in Week 2. Goldson led the team with a game-high 11 tackles (nine solo) in a 19-17 victory. He has 20 tackles on the year.

Kareem Jackson picks off Derek Carr in Week 2

(11:10 pm ET) Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson recorded his first interception of the season against the Raiders in Week 2. Jackson picked off Derek Carr in the second quarter and nearly took it back for a touchdown. He finished the game with two total tackles -- all solo -- and two passes defended in a 30-14 victory.

Rodney McLeod gets first interception of season

(11:10 pm ET) Rams safety Rodney McLeod came down with his first interception of the season Week 2 at Tampa Bay. It was his third career pick. He picked off Josh McCown in the first quarter. He registered five total tackles -- all solo -- and one pass defended in a 19-17 victory.

Tyvon Branch racks up 11 tackles in Week 2 loss

(11:09 pm ET) Raiders safety Tyvon Branch enjoyed a productive performance at home against the Texans in Week 2. He led the way with 11 total tackles (nine solo) in a 30-14 loss. He has 19 total tackles on the year.

Buccaneers unable to solve Rams in Week 2

(10:58 pm ET) The Buccaneers weren't able to get the job done defensively Sunday afternoon at home against the Rams in Week 2.

Tampa Bay kept Zac Stacy in check throughout the afternoon, but permitted a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Dashon Goldson recorded the team's only turnover, recovering a Stacy fumble in the third quarter. The team allowed 339 yards of total offense. 220 of which came from aerial attack in a 19-17.

Tampa Bay will travel to Atlanta for a Thursday night divisional showdown against the Falcons.


Rams do just enough to get the job done vs. Bucs

(10:56 pm ET) The Rams defense did just enough to get the job done in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

The Rams were unable to solve Tampa Bay's rushing attack, as Bobby Rainey gashed the defense for 144 yards on the ground. St. Louis forced one turnover and recorded one sack. Rodney McLeod came down with the game's only interception in the first quarter. E.J. Gaines and Eugene Sims shared the only sack of the day for the Rams.

The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.


Texans force four turnovers in Week 2 win

(10:55 pm ET) The Texans had another field day in Week 2 against the Raiders, forcing four turnovers in a 30-14 victory.

Kareem Jackson and Brooks Reed each came down with interceptions. Johnathan Joseph and D.J. Swearinger each recovered a fumble. Houston limited Oakland to 364 yards of total offense, 263 of which came from the aerial attack.

The Texans will travel to New York for a Week 3 showdown against the Giants.
