Check out our Fantasy Football podcast!

Latest episode | Subscribe today!

Starting this Sunday at 11 a.m. ET through Week 17 we bring you Fantasy Football Today on CBSSports.com. We are the first with inactives and we provide you the most in-depth look at what will happen for that week. We'll have LIVE look-ins from stadiums around the league and you can call in and ask questions during our live broadcast.

To give you an inside look at what to expect this year, we decided to share our mock draft for the show. And we'll have two prominent people contributing to Fantasy Football Today this season that you must tune in for who took part in this draft.

The first is CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora, who will provide the updated news of the day each week. And the second is a former Pro Bowl player who will provide a great mix of analysis and entertainment every Sunday. We'll reveal our full show lineup later this week.

This draft was a point-per-reception format and you can compare the results to the 12-team standard draft we did last week. These two guides should help you with any last-minute drafts prior to Thursday's season opener.

As always, we ask you to share your thoughts on this draft. Take advantage of our Fantasy Football Twitter feed (@CBSFantasyFB) and post your comments there, or share your thoughts on our Fantasy Football Facebook page.

In this league, all touchdowns are worth six points, and we award one point for every 10 yards rushing and receiving and one point for every 25 yards passing. There also is one point per reception. We feature a starting lineup of QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, K, DST and a FLEX (RB/WR/TE). There will also be six reserve spots for a 15-round draft.

Our draft order is as follows:

1. Dave Richard, Senior Fantasy Writer
2. Adam Flango, FFT Producer
3. Nando Di Fino, Senior Fantasy Writer
4. Player To Be Named Later, former Pro Bowler/FFT analyst
5. Adam Aizer, Podcast/Video Host

Jerry Jones: Tony Romo is '100 percent' healthy
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11:09 am ET) Although the Cowboys held Tony Romo out of Tuesday's practice, owner Jerry Jones said the team is just being smart with the quarterback's comeback from back surgery.

"He is 100 percent. He's 100 percent," Jones told reporters, per NFL.com. "He's just being real smart and sensitive about having come off the back surgery. He's certainly not losing any ground from the standpoint of opening up against San Francisco (in Week 1)."

Steven Jackson out with hamstring injury
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10:48 am ET) Falcons running back Steven Jackson missed practice Tuesday with a hamstring injury he suffered Monday, the team announced. Coach Mike Smith provided no timetable for Jackson's return, other than to say he'll be ready for the season opener.

Smith said Jackson hurt his left hamstring; last year, Jackson was plagued by a right hamstring injury.

GM on Marshawn Lynch: 'Next man up'
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10:38 am ET) Seahawks general manager John Schneider told the Seattle Times that everybody loves and respects running back Marshawn Lynch, but the team won't deviate from its longterm plan. Lynch is holding out because he's upset with his contract, which has two years remaining.

"We’re just going with our plan, and I know it’s cliché-ish but next man up," he said. "We’ve had a plan in place here for a number of years, and we can’t veer from that plan for one person because it’s the ultimate team sport."

Schneider said the plan involves making tough decisions.

"You make models two and three years out, and you have to stick to that and know that there’s going to be tough decisions along the way," he said. "We had to let guys like Red Bryant go, Chris Clemons, we weren’t able to sign Breno (Giacomini), Golden Tate. You have to be able to make those decisions along the way knowing you’ll be able to re-sign Michael Bennett and maybe there’s a free agent that comes in and fits in your bracket. It’s just one of those deals where you have to keep going about your business, and you can’t veer off of that.

"Around here we talk about what’s next, and the next person is up. That being said, last year we went through this with Brandon Browner. He had his deal, and (Byron Maxwell) got his opportunity. Hey, Marshawn Lynch is phenomenal. Phenomenal player and just a unique part of what we’ve had going on here. Two years ago we were able to redo his deal, and he was a big part of that foundation that we started here."

Vikes activate Captain Munnerlyn
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10:22 am ET) The Vikings activated cornerback Captain Munnerlyn from the PUP list. He's over his slight hamstring pull and is ready to practice.

Drops plaguing Eric Ebron
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(10:14 am ET) Lions first-round pick Eric Ebron, who struggled with drops in college, has had "an inordinate number of dropped passes" through offseason workouts and the first two days of training camp, reports the Detroit Free Press. Coach Jim Caldwell says he's not concerned.

"It’s tough for any young guy that’s coming in to a system, particularly at the position he plays," Caldwell told the paper. "One thing I think people don’t quite understand about playing a tight end position, you can probably notice that he lines up in a number of different places. He lines up at a true tight end position, so he’s got to know all the blocking schemes, routes from there. He lines up at an auxiliary (position), what we can an F, so he’s got to know all the protections at that particular location as well as the routes. And then we also put him in the backfield.

"This guy literally has to know the slot receiver, the regular tight end and also a position out of the backfield as if he’s a fullback. So it’s not easy for him."

Caldwell said Ebron "has an unusual skill set" and will continue to improve.
