Luke Joeckel among notable Jaguars ruled probable for Week 9

(3:17 pm ET) Jaguars coach Gus Bradley told reporters he'd be "shocked" if left tackle Luke Joeckel (concussion) doesn't play Week 9 at Cincinnati. Joeckel returned to practice and was ruled probable for the game, along with cornerback Dwayne Gratz (groin) and wide receivers Cecil Shorts (groin) and Allen Hurns (ankle). Linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) was the only player ruled questionable on the list.

Defensive lineman Andre Branch (groin) and defensive back Will Blackmon (finger) were both ruled out.

Redskins injury report dominated by probables for Sunday

(3:16 pm ET) The Redskins are in fine shape heading into their Week 9 game in Minnesota. Nine of the 10 players on their Friday injury report have been deemed probable, including quarterback Robert Griffin III (ankle). Only cornerback Bashaud Breeland (knee) is questionable.

The other probables are safety Ryan Clark (ankle/shoulder), linebackers Perry Riley, Jr. (knee), Keenan Robinson (shoulder), Ryan Kerrigan (wrist) and Trent Murphy (knee), cornerback Tracy Porter (hamstring) and tackle Trent Williams (knee).


Chargers' Ryan Mathews practices for first time since MCL sprain

(3:11 pm ET) Chargers running back Ryan Mathews was a limited participant in Friday's practice. It was his first practice since suffering an MCL sprain on Sept. 14.

Although the team has already ruled him out for Week 9 against the Dolphins, coach Mike McCoy told reporters "he's getting close" to returning, according to U-T San Diego. Mathews will miss his seventh consecutive game on Sunday.

The Chargers have a Week 10 bye and Mathews could be back as early as Week 11 against Oakland.


Texans reveal another lengthy injury report for Week 9

(2:58 pm ET) The Texans have listed 13 players on its final injury report leading up to Week 9 against Philadelphia. Jeff Tarpinian (knee) was the only player on the list ruled out for the game. Jadeveon Clowney (knee, illness), Brian Cushing (knee) and Darryl Morris (ankle) were all deemed questionable.

The following players were ruled probable for Sunday: Alfred Blue (ankle), Arian Foster (knee), Tim Jamison (groin), Andre Johnson (ankle), Johnathan Joseph (knee), Whitney Mercilus (shoulder), Brooks Reed (groin), Jumal Rolle (wrist) and John Simon (ankle).


Texans RB Arian Foster, WR Andre Johnson probable for Sunday

(2:53 pm ET) As expected, Texans running back Arian Foster (knee) and wide receiver Andre Johnson (ankle) were both officially ruled probable for Week 9 against the Philadelphia, according to the Houston Chronicle. Both players were limited participants in practice Friday and were never in any danger of missing any game action.

RB Doug Martin deemed doubtful by Buccaneers for Sunday

(2:50 pm ET) The Buccaneers list featured back Doug Martin as doubtful for the Week 9 game against the host Browns with an ankle injury. He has yet to participate in any practice this week.

Martin did not practice this week.


Two red-lighted by Buccaneers for Week 9 game

(2:46 pm ET) Linebacker Brandon Magee (knee) and kick returner Trindon Holliday (hamstring) have been ruled out by the Buccaneers for their Sunday game in Cleveland.

Those listed as doubtful are tackle Anthony Collins (foot) and featured back Doug Martin (ankle). Defensive end Michael Johnson (hand) is questionable while center Evan Dietrich-Smith (knee) and wideout Vincent Jackson (rib) are probable.


Browns list 10 players on final injury report for Week 9

(2:32 pm ET) The Browns listed 10 players on its final injury report leading up to Week 9 against Tampa Bay. Jordan Cameron (concussion) and Phillip Taylor (knee) were the only two players ruled out for Sunday. Rodney Smith is the only questionable on the list.

Meanwhile, Desmond Bryant (wrist), Jim Leonard (hamstring), Barkevious Mingo (shoulder), Ahtyba Rubin (ankle), Joe Thomas (rest), K'Waun Williams (shoulder, neck) and Billy Winn (quad) were all labeled probable.


Texans rookie LB Clowney in danger of missing Week 9

(2:25 pm ET) Texans coach Bill O'Brien didn't sound optimistic about linebacker Jadeveon Clowney's status for Week 9 against the Eagles, according to the team's official website. O'Brien told reporters that the team will continue to evaluate the rookie and reiterated that at the moment his status "doesn't look very good" for Sunday.

Clowney played Week 8 for the first time since injuring a knee Week 1. He had one tackle in the Texans' 30-16 win at Tennessee.


Chiefs S Eric Berry will return Week 9 vs. Jets

(2:14 pm ET) Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters that safety Eric Berry will play Week 9 against the Jets, according to the team's official website. It'll be Berry's first game action since suffering a high ankle sprain against Denver in Week 2. Reid wouldn't specify Berry's role for Sunday, so it remains if he'll be eased back into action.
