(5:52 pm ET) In his three-way battle with Joe Morgan and Robert Meachem for two roster spots, Saints receiver Nick Toon is making a strong early impression, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

"He's healthy. He's really running well. It was tough last year with the numbers of getting him into the rotation," coach Sean Payton told the paper. "This year I definitely see him as someone who competes and factors in for not only playing time, but for touches. He has done well these first few days."


Pats release Josh Hull

Michael Crabtree doing it all in training camp

Crabtree is making one-handed catches 30 yards downfield, beating press coverage at the line of scrimmage and developing chemistry with the quarterbacks, the report said.
