by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/22/2014) Bills running back C.J. Spiller told the media Tuesday that he feels "28 percent" following the nagging injuries he had last season. What Spiller meant is that he's feeling good and ready for the offseason workouts, saying all of the injury is "all behind me."

"I feel good. Did a lot of things in this offseason to try to see where I was at and it responded well," Spiller said. "I will continue to do what I need to do to make sure I'm ready to go come September, but for the most part I feel pretty good. ...  I'm ready to get back on the field and really start playing again."

Spiller said he's not concerned about his contract status and is more focused on being ready for camp. Spiller is entering a contract year in 2014.

by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/22/2014) Bears defensive end-turned-linebacker Shea McClellin has lost 11 pounds while working with well known trainer Scot Prohaska in California this offseason. He's shed eight percent of body fat and has cut down his 40-yard dash time from 4.74 to 4.5 seconds.

"I think you're going to see a guy that consistently makes plays when he's in there to a point where you say, 'Wow, he's there. He's making plays, doing his job and showing a few flashes of spectacular,'" Prohaska told the Chicago Tribune. "Most of all you're going to see a real consistent guy that does his job. You're going to really enjoy the way he plays the game now because he's going to play it with confidence."

Stroke forced linebacker Russell Allen to retire
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/22/2014) Former Jaguars linebacker Russell Allen said he suffered a stroke in Week 15 of last season that forced him to retire.

Allen told Sports Illustrated that he collided with a Bills offensive lineman and begin to suffer some concussion-like symptoms such as seeing double. The next day MRI results concluded that he needed extensive testing. After three days of tests, doctors said that part of his brain had become inactive and that he'd be on blood-thinning medication for the rest of his life.

Allen has been invited to return to the Jaguars and help the team off the field. He plans on coaching high school football in California.

Eli Manning still in boot but says he'll be ready for camp
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/22/2014) Eli Manning showed up at Giants camp Tuesday with his left foot in a walking boot following offseason ankle surgery. While he claimed he did not hurt it playing basketball Manning did make clear that he plans to be a participant at training camp, telling the Newark Star-Ledger that "it will be safe to say I'll be 100 percent."

Teammate Victor Cruz went to Duke with Manning for some unofficial passing workouts and said he couldn't tell his ankle was a problem. Manning is expected to miss all of the Giants' offseason workouts and minicamps, which means he'll be behind in learning and understanding the team's new offense, though Manning already surmises that it will be a lot like what the Packers have been running.

Falcons will keep Julio Jones limited in workouts
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/22/2014) Falcons coach Mike Smith said Tuesday that Julio Jones will be limited during offseason workouts. He's still working his way back from foot surgery and is "progressing well" but the Falcons are aiming for him to be ready for the start of the season and don't want to risk anything going wrong during the offseason.

"Julio is participating with our athletic performance department," Smith said according to ESPN. "He will be able to get out on the field and do some walkthrough stuff with us when we start going. Our focus on Julio is one thing, and that's having him prepared for our opener. ... We're not going to do anything to hinder his timeframe in terms of getting back to work with us."

Jones was on pace for 130 catches and just under 1,900 receiving yards when he fractured his foot last season.
