Report: Panthers WR Stephen Hill has torn ACL

(10:38 am ET) Panthers wide receiver Stephen Hill reportedly suffered a torn ACL in his knee during Saturday's practice, a source told The Charlotte Observer.

Hill had to carted off the practice field Saturday after sustaining an injury to his right knee. The team signed wide receiver Paul Browning on Sunday as an expected replacement.


Browns DE Phillip Taylor participates in team drills Sunday

(10:35 am ET) For the first time since undergoing knee surgery last season, Browns defensive end Phillip Taylor was able to participate in team drills Sunday, reports the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram. Taylor played in five games last season before suffering the knee injury.

Colts place Robert Mathis, Donald Thomas on PUP

(10:23 am ET) The Colts opened training camp Sunday with linebacker Robert Mathis and guard Donald Thomas on the Physically Unable to Perform list, reports 1070TheFan.com.

Mathis missed the 2014 season after tearing his Achilles and there is no timetable for his return. Meanwhile, Thomas is recovering from a quad injury, which also cost him the entire 2014 season.


Panthers sign WR Paul Browning

Report: Cowboys to discuss contract with Jeremy Mincey on Sunday

(9:35 am ET) Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey will arrive in California on Sunday to meet with team officials to discuss the parameters of a two-year deal, a source told The Dallas Morning News.

Mincey is currently holding out of training camp as he awaits a new deal. Mincey produced six sacks and 36 tackles in 16 games last season.


Report: Ravens safety Matt Elam suffers biceps injury

(9:22 am ET) The Ravens fear safety Matt Elam may have torn his biceps, sources told The Baltimore Sun.

Elam is undergoing an MRI to determine the severity of the issue after suffering the injury during Saturday's practice. He played in 16 games last season and totaled 50 tackles without an interception.


Report: Cowboys LB Justin Jackson tears ACL in practice

(12:46 am ET) Cowboys linebacker Justin Jackson has reportedly suffered a torn ACL in Saturday's practice, according to The Dallas Morning News. Jackson was signed by the Cowboys in June after being waived by the Redskins in May.

Report: Seahawks, LB Bobby Wagner agree to contract extension

(12:23 am ET) The Seahawks and All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner have agreed to terms on a contract extension, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Wagner -- a key piece in Seattle's dominant defense -- was slated to make just $1 million this upcoming season despite producing over 100 tackles per season three years in a row. He becomes the latest Seahawks player to agree to an extension this week, after quarterback Russell Wilson signed a contract on Friday.

Wagner recorded 104 tackles and two sacks in just 11 games for Seattle last season.


Jets waive fullback J.C. Copeland

(8/1/2015) The Jets waived fullback J.C. Copeland after Saturday's training camp practice, per NJ.com. Copeland was one of two fullbacks in camp.

Copeland was cut after struggling in Saturday's workout. He was beaten badly trying to block a lineman and dropped a pass.  


Vikings sign WR Ryan Whalen

Whalen was drafted by Cincinnati in 2011 and released during the 2014 preseason. He was out of football throughout last season. He has 11 catches for 80 yards in his career.
