Identifying a few streaming DST options
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:16 pm ET) If you need to pick up and play a DST unit in Week 8, Jamey Eisenberg identifies three worth snagging in his waiver-wire column: the Colts (59 percent owned) in Pittsburgh, the Cowboys (43 percent) against Washington, and the Dolphins (36 percent) in Jacksonville.

Hitting the wire for tight ends
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:07 pm ET) With how up-and-down many tight ends have been this season, identifying the right ones on waivers can be a key. In his Week 8 waiver-wire column, Jamey Eisenberg tries to pin down the best ones for you to target this week.

Ravens tight end Owen Daniels, coming off a six-catch performance with a touchdown in Week 7, is the top pick for the 41 percent of CBSSports.com leagues in which he is available. A big reason why is a matchup against the Bengals, who have allowed four double-digit Fantasy scoring games by tight ends this season.

The remainder of the top five for the week is rounded out by Coby Fleener of the Colts (44 percent owned), Charles Clay of the Dolphins (34 percent), Jared Cook of the Rams (47 percent) and Kyle Rudolph of the Vikings (32 percent), who makes more sense as a stash option if you can afford the roster space.

Prioritizing waiver-wire picks at wide receiver
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6:01 pm ET) In his Week 8 waiver-wire column, Jamey Eisenberg takes a look at the wide receivers most worth adding ahead of this week's games.

The list is headlined by new Seahawks' No. 1 Doug Baldwin (33 percent owned), with Odell Beckham (68 percent) of the Giants, Davante Adams (21 percent) of the Packers, Allen Robinson (34 percent) of the Jaguars and Brandon LaFell (56 percent) of the Patriots rounding out the remainder of the top five.

If you need to drop someone to make room for any pickups this week, he also recommends possibly parting ways with the Vikings' Cordarrelle Patterson (81 percent) or the Steelers' Markus Wheaton (35 percent).

Falcons WR Roddy White trying to eliminate the drops
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5:53 pm ET) Falcons wideout Roddy White remains down on his play despite catching nine passes for 100 yards and a touchdown Week 7, reports ESPN.com. He has dropped five passes this year, tied for fourth-most in the NFL.

"Mentally, I feel like I'm in the game plan. Mentally, I feel prepared for the games. It's just ... I don't know what it is," he told the website. "I'm not finishing plays. I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do."

White, who turns 33 next month, vowed to fix the problem. And he said injuries are not a factor.

"It's frustrating me," he said. "I'll figure it out, though. I will figure it out."

Seahawks receivers make for good waiver-wire pickups
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:49 pm ET) With last week's stunning trade of Percy Harvin to the Jets, the Seahawks have to determine a new hierarchy in the passing game. And the big winner, after one week, was Doug Baldwin, who Jamey Eisenberg tabs as the top waiver-wire target among wide receivers for Week 8.

Baldwin hauled in seven passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in Week 7, his first game without Harvin by his side this season. Fellow Seahawk Jermaine Kearse also ends up in Jamey's column, though just as the eighth receiver in the priority list after his three-catch, 50-yard showing Sunday.

Taking a look at the waiver wire for running backs
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:38 pm ET) With a slew of running backs injured or on bye in Week 8, the waiver-wire is going to be a feeding frenzy this week. In his weekly waiver-wire column, Jamey Eisenberg, tabs Bills back Bryce Brown (4 percent ownership) as the must-add option.

Brown is set to see a larger role in the wake of injuries to C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson, who can be freely dropped at this point. The Rams' Tre Mason (17 percent), the Jaguars' Denard Robinson (5 percent), the Saints' Travaris Cadet (4 percent) and the Panthers' Jonathan Stewart (47 percent) round out the rest of the top-five for the running back priority list.

Chargers CB Jason Verrett limited in practice
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5:35 pm ET) Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett was limited in Tuesday's practice due to his shoulder injury. He also got in limited practices last week before sitting out Week 7. San Diego visits the Broncos on Thursday.

Waiver wire thin for quarterbacks this week
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5:32 pm ET) With an eye on Week 8 and beyond, Jamey Eisenberg tabbed his top quarterbacks on the waiver wire Tuesday, headlined by the Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill, who is owned in just 43 percent of CBSSports.com leagues at this point.

Additionally, Jamey eyes a few key stashes who might be worth your time if you are having trouble at the position or just have a roster spot to fill. Specifically, recovering Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (36 percent) and Johnny Manziel (13 percent), the Browns' backup, could be worth a flier.

Among quarterbacks with a lower ceiling who nonetheless have jobs locked down, Kyle Orton of the Bills (12 percent) and Alex Smith of the Chiefs (59 percent) have some value, with matchups against the Jets and Rams, respectively, for Week 8.

Reggie Wayne still awaiting MRI results
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5:14 pm ET) Colts wideout Reggie Wayne said in a radio interview that he's waiting "like everybody else" for the results of his MRI, reports WRTV in Indianapolis. Wayne injured his elbow in Sunday's win over the Bengals and the scan was performed Monday.

"I feel pretty good. Sore regardless," Wayne said. "It's a brutal game."

The station speculated earlier that Wayne could miss one or two games. Indy visits the Steelers on Sunday.

Broncos K Brandon McManus held out Tuesday
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5:05 pm ET) Broncos kicker Brandon McManus did not practice Tuesday due to a groin injury, but coach John Fox doesn't seem worried about McManus' availability for Thursday's game against the Chargers, reports ESPN.com. "See what tomorrow brings," Fox said. "I'm sure he'll be good to go."
