05/22/12TEBrent CelekLabrum, hernia Eagles tight end Brent Celek recently said he feels "better than I have probably in the last three of four years" following surgeries on his shoulder and hernia this offseason, but he's still not quite a full participant in the Eagles' OTAs. In fact, he's still a question mark to work at the team's June minicamp but is expected to be ready to roll for training camp. (Updated 05/22/2012)
05/14/12DLMaurice FountainKnee Eagles coach Andy Reid disclosed Monday that defensive end Maurice Fountain tore his patellar tendon and will have surgery. "He was actually doing a heck of a job," Reid said. (Updated 05/14/2012)
03/26/12WRSteve SmithKnee New Rams coach Jeff Fisher said in an interview with CBSSports.com that he's expecting new receiver Steve Smith to play well in St. Louis. The former Giants and Eagles receiver agreed to a one-year deal with the Rams in March. "He had a Pro Bowl year in 2009," Fisher said. "He was very productive. He’s a first-class young man. He overcame a difficult situation with his knee. We felt like his knee was in great shape. We worked him out, and he has a chance to get back to where he was in 2009." Smith caught 107 passes for 1,220 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 starts in 2009 but has 59 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns in eight starts (18 total games) since. (Updated 04/05/2012)
02/22/12RBLeonard WeaverKnee The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver is still dealing with complications from a major knee injury in 2010 and is not expected to play in 2012. "My heart is to get back," Weaver said, "but it's not going to happen this season. It's tough." (Updated 02/22/2012)
