The Buffalo Bills signed DL Jarron Gilbert on Saturday after the team released LB Antonio Coleman. Gilbert has been on the Jets practice squad the past two seasons. He appeared in one game with New York in 2010, playing against Buffalo in the season finale.

Arizona DL Darnell Dockett recorded a season-high seven tackles, including five solo stops, during the Cardinals' 23-16 loss to Cincinnati in Week 16. Dockett's output also surpassed his total from his previous two games combined (five).

The Patriots waived DL Landon Cohen on Tuesday. Cohen had been promoted to the 53-man roster last week.

Arizona LB Daryl Washington had a game-high 11 tackles, including one for a loss, during the Cardinals' 23-16 loss to Cincinnati in Week 16. Washington finished with double-digits in tackles for the second time this season and now has 94 total stops.

Arizona agreed to terms with former Pittsburgh DL Nick Eason on a two-year contract Thursday, according to ESPN. Eason, who spent the last four years with the Steelers, will be reunited with Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton from their years in Pittsburgh.

The Jets signed WR Michael Campbell, DB Julian Posey and TE Martell Webb to the practice squad on Tuesday.

The Cardinals got two sacks on back-to-back plays from LB O'Brien Schofield, the second causing a fumble in Week 15. He finished with three tackles in the 20-17 win.

Safety James Sanders has agreed to a deal with the Arizona Cardinals, he said via Twitter. The 29-year-old veteran started six games for Atlanta last season after spending his first six years with the New England Patriots. Sanders had visited the Cardinals on Tuesday. The deal is thought to be for one season, per The Sports Xchange.

The Cardinals made 27 cuts on Friday to get down the to league-mandated 53-man roster for the start of the season. Among those cut was veteran punter Ben Graham. The cuts also included safety Jared Campbell, cornerback Fred Bennett, center Ben Claxton, quarterback Brodie Croyle, linebacker Will Davis, cornerback Marshay Green, defensive end Kenny Iwebema, tackle Cliff Louis, nose tackle Ricky Lumpkin, fullback Reagan Maui’a, defensive end Jeremy Navarre, wide receiver Aaron Nichols, cornerback Bryant Nnabuife, linebacker Cyril Obiozor, center Kris O’Dowd, guard Tom Pestock, running back William Powell, tight end Steve Skelton, linebacker Kendall Smith, linebacker Pago Togafau, cornerback Thad Turner, safety Matt Ware, wide receiver Isaiah Williams and tackle D.J. Young. Guard Floyd Womack (shoulder) and wide receiver Sean Jeffcoat (shoulder) were also placed on injured reserve.

The Cardinals released their regular season depth chart and ILB Paris Lenon is still starting ahead of high-priced free-agent acquisition Stewart Bradley.

Working out with several of his Cardinals teammates this week, new WR DeMarco Sampson made a good impression. Sampson, 25, had teammates take notice of his size (6 foot 2, 204 pounds) and speed. Aside from being winded during the players-only workout, the Arizona Republic reports that he looked good. QB John Skelton agrees. "At first, I thought he was veteran from another team joining us," Skelton said. "He's pretty talented and he can fly. I reached back to throw a 'go' route and underthrew him. He's got sure hands so it looks positive for him."

On Tuesday, RB Darius Walker and LB Kelly Poppinga were signed to the Rams' practice squad and S David Roach and FB Russ Weil were released from the Rams' practice squad.

The Cardinals placed DB Greg Toler (knee) on the injured reserve list on Monday, ending his season before it began. Toler was hurt in the team's preseason game on Saturday.

Former Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner said in an interview with CBSSports.com that John Skelton and not Kevin Kolb would be better for Larry Fitzgerald's production. Kolb and Skelton are expected to compete for the starting job this season. "Just watching what they both do, the one thing about John Skelton was he always gave Larry opportunities," Warner said at Anquan Boldin's charity event in Pahokee, Fla. "He would look at Larry and sometimes force the ball to Larry knowing he was the go-to guy. If I’m just looking at the way they both played last year, I think Larry is going to get more opportunities and more big-play opportunities with John the way he played last year than with Kevin. Does that mean that’s the best situation for the team? No. But if you watched as it played out last year, a lot of Larry’s success and a lot of the big plays came when John was at quarterback."

The Cardinals added cornerback Jamell Fleming (Oklahoma) and safety Justin Bethel (Presbyterian) to their defense in the NFL Draft. Fleming, a third-round pick, is a tough zone coverage cornerback. Bethel is a tweener who is also tough and has good speed but wasn't tested playing FCS-level competition. He's also a good kick blocker.

Cardinals DB Kerry Rhodes was active for Sunday's contest against the Browns. He's been dealing with a foot injury.

The Cardinals placed DB Crezdon Butler (ankle) on injured reserve on Tuesday. To take his place on the roster, DL Ronald Talley was promoted from the practice squad.

Ankle - IR. Out for the season

Cardinals TE Todd Heap was able to find the end zone in Week 17 against the Seahawks. Heap was on the receiving end of a 13-yard scoring strike from John Skelton in the third quarter. He finished with two receptions for 35 yards in the 23-20 victory, averaging 17.5 yards per reception.

Cardinals TE Jim Dray caught two of the first three passes thrown his way in Week 9 against the Rams. Those two catches were his first of the year and were good for 25 yards. Dray saw action because Todd Heap, who was active, is still dealing with an injury. Arizona would win the game, 19-13.

With a 42-yard punt return in the second quarter, Cardinals DB Patrick Peterson set an NFL record for punt return yards by a rookie. The Steelers' Louis Lipps (656) held the record previously. Peterson finished with four tackles in the 23-20 victory in Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Arizona QB Richard Bartel saw action in his second game of the season, as the Cardinals' starter John Skelton was benched in the third quarter. Bartel came in for the entire fourth quarter, and was 8 for 16 for 64 yards and a 23-yard touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald.

Notre Dame wideout Michael Floyd was the top pick of the Arizona Cardinals, 13th overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft. That gives quarterback Kevin Kolb another weapon this year to go with Larry Fitzgerald. Floyd will likely start ahead of Andre Roberts and Early Doucet.

Arizona TE Rob Housler caught two passes for 23 yards in Week 13 against Dallas. The Cardinals would win the game, 19-13. Housler got more playing time with Todd Heap inactive again.

Arizona DB Adrian Wilson collected seven tackles and a pass defended during the Cardinals' 23-16 loss at Cincinnati in Week 16. Wilson topped seven tackles for the second straight game, the first time he has accomplished that feat this season.

The Cardinals took quarterback Ryan Lindley of San Diego State with a sixth-round pick in the NFL Draft. Lindley started a school record 49 consecutive games with the Aztecs, establishing several school passing and total yardage records. He has a strong arm but has had issues with his accuracy. He says he has worked hard in the offseason with former USC offensive coordinator Ted Tollner on his footwork.

The Cardinals placed NT Dan Williams (broken arm) on IR, ending his season. DE Ronald Talley was elevated from the practice squad to take his roster spot.

Arizona released WR Jaymar Johnson from its active roster on Wednesday in order to clear space to help boost its ailing offensive line. Johnson, who joined the Cardinals in late November, was added to the team's practice squad.

Cardinals second-year running back Ryan Williams says he's been cutting and running on his surgically-repaired right knee, adding that he's surprised he's doing so but not worried about his return. Williams had surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon in August and missed his rookie year. "I kind of feel like the most anticipated player of the year, and (fans) haven't even seen anything but a couple weeks of training camp,” the running back told the official team website. "This situation, I'm not going to say it was fun to go through, but it's nothing. I believe in myself and I believe I will be back. I asked (head athletic trainer) Tom (Reed), and I trust Tom and I feel he will be honest with me, and I asked, 'Do you think I will be 100 percent?' He said 'I feel you will be better than you were before.'"

Knee - Questionable for start of 2012 training camp

The Cardinals official team website reports that running back Beanie Wells said he is “coming along” after his offseason knee surgery. “I’m rehabbing, just trying to get back,” Wells said. He said he doesn’t know his timetable for his return to the field. Wells has been at the facility, and on days where the veterans have gone out as an offense to work on passing routes, Wells has joined them outside even though he can’t take part. His ability to take part in organized team activities and/or minicamp is to be announced. “I am hopeful, but it’s offseason stuff,” Wells said. “Being ready for training camp is the most important thing.”

Knee - Questionable for start of training camp

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with free agent punter and kicker Ricky Schmitt. The 6-foot-3 Schmitt debuted in the NFL in 2009, kicking for San Francisco on Dec. 27 against Detroit. He had two field goals on three attempts with five kickoffs. But he hurt a hamstring and went on injured reserve the last week of the season. The 24-year-old Schmitt also has been with Pittsburgh, Oakland and originally joined Arizona as a rookie free agent in 2007.

Arizona promoted DL Ronald Talley from its practice squad on Tuesday to take the roster spot of NT Dan Williams, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The Cards agreed to terms with free-agent cornerback William Gay on a two-year deal Sunday. Gay (5-10, 190) spent the past four seasons with the Steelers and has 37 career starts including 15 of 16 games last season, making 56 tackles (45 solos) with two interceptions. His addition helps ease the loss of free-agent corner Richard Marshall to Miami.

Arizona S Rashad Johnson, playing in place of injury S Kerry Rhodes, racked up eight tackles (seven solo) and a tackle for a loss during the Cardinals' 23-7 loss at San Francisco in Week 11.

Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell agreed to a five-contract extension Thursday. The 6-foot-8, 300-pound lineman had 51 solo tackles and 73 overall tackles last season. He also had eight sacks, two forced fumbles, 11 passes defensed, one fumble recovery, his first interception, and blocked three field goals. The Cardinals had placed the "non-exclusive" franchise tag on the 25-year-old Campbell on March 2. Drafted in the second round in 2008 out of the University of Miami, he was the Cardinals' 2011 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year for his community work.

Notre Dame wideout Michael Floyd was the top pick of the Arizona Cardinals, 13th overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft. Floyd's got the size (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) and speed (4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash) to be an impact rookie. Floyd caught 100 passes for 1,147 yards and nine TD catches, plus one touchdown run, as a senior.

Arizona DL Sam posted just two tackles and a sack during the Cardinals' 23-16 loss to Cincinnati in Week 16. Acho took down Bengals QB Andy Dalton for his first sack in the past four games. It was his sixth total sack of the season.

Arizona TE Jeff King scored a touchdown on his only catch of the game during the Cardinals' 23-16 loss to Cincinnati in Week 16. King hauled in a 2-yard pass from QB John Skelton during the fourth quarter to give him his first touchdown since Week 2 at Washington.

Cardinals LB Reggie Walker suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5 against the Saints and could miss some time. He was being examined Monday.

Running back LaRod Stephens-Howling signed his restricted free-agent tender, making him officially part of the Cardinals staff in 2012. He'll be in a contract year.

Cardinals TE Anthony Becht, TE Mike Leach and WR Sean Morey didn't record offensive statistics Week 12 at Tennessee.

The Cardinals waived DB Korey Lindsey on Tuesday. Lindsey, a rookie, had been selected in the seventh round of the draft this summer by the Bengals before being waived by Cincinnati.

Arizona rookie DL David Carter's first career sack forced a fumble, which was recovered by Darnell Dockett on Sunday. That set up an Arizona score against New York in Week 4, but the Cardinals would still lose the game, 31-27. Carter finished with three tackles, two solo, on the day.

The Cardinals made some roster moves on Monday, highlighted by the official signing of RB Chester Taylor. The team also claimed CB Crezdon Butler from the Steelers and CB Korey Lindsey from the waivers. Arizona rookie RB Anthony Sherman left Week 8 against Baltimore after suffering an apparent ankle injury in the first half. His return is questionable.

Arizona announced that they agreed to a two-year deal with kicker Jay Feely.

Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves told SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday that he expects to have a quarterback competition heading into the season, as per head coach Ken Whisenhunt's orders. graves spoke glowingly about Kevin Kolb, calling him "special," but also admitted that John Skelton deserves a chance to start given how he replaced Kolb in 2011. The Cardinals won more games last season with Skelton starting than Kolb.

Arizona LB Paris Lenon left in the first quarter of Week 16 at Cincinnati with an apparent wrist injury. He is questionable to return. Lenon registered one tackle before departing. LB Stewart Bradley replaced Lenon in the lineup for the Cardinals.
