"That's the nature of the game," Taylor said of playing infrequently, per The Baltimore Sun. "I knew that coming into this situation. When I got drafted here, Joe was pretty durable. My job was to stay ready and I think I've done that in my time here. I've learned a lot.

On his Instagram account, Hill posted a collage with four pictures of himself and cornerback Antrel Rolle when they were with the Giants. In the middle is a rectangular box with the Ravens logo in the middle.

"if thing go the way I want me and big bro will be reunited," Hill wrote.

Rolle, 32, didn't have a strong 2014 season and thus may not be an attractive option for the Ravens. Rolle finished the past season with 87 tackles and three interceptions.

Torrey Smith
News
Wide receiver Torrey Smith is scheduled to become a free agent next month, but the Ravens are confident in their ability to keep him.

In his annual "state of the Ravens" press conference on Tuesday, general manager Ozzie Newsome was asked about the chances of re-signing Smith. Newsome answered, "We have a history of retaining our players, especially players that have been productive."

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti tempered the remarks, slightly, adding that there's a difference between what the team can pay Smith and what he might get on the open market.

Smith had 49 catches for 767 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

News
Ravens right tackle Ricky Wagner will miss the majority of the offseason program after having surgery late last month for a Lisfranc foot sprain. He's hoping to be ready for the 2015 season opener, reports the Baltimore Sun.

"I should come back for next season. That's the goal to get back for the first game," Wagner told the paper. "It's the kind of injury [where] you have to take it slow. It's not a career-changer. It just needs time to heal."

A fifth-round pick in the 2013 draft, Wagner allowed two sacks in 15 games and established himself as Baltimore's starter moving forward.

Zach Thompson

Ravens veteran inside linebacker Daryl Smith, 32, said he has no plans to retire. The 11-year vet started every game this season and made 127 tackles with nine pass breakups, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a sack.

"My body feels good," Smith told the Baltimore Sun. "I still love the game, so I definitely want to be back next year."

Smith had six tackles and an interception in Saturday's playoff loss at New England. He has three years left on his contract.

Lardarius Webb
News
Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has some difficult decisions to make this offseason. Near the top of the chart is restructuring the contract of cornerback Lardarius Webb, according to the Baltimore Sun. Webb is due $8 million in base salary with a $12 million cap number.

"We will exhaust every avenue that we have to retain our players," Newsome said. "We like to retain our football players, and we also like to be able to create some cap room."

Cutting Webb, who totaled 46 tackles with one interception in 13 games in 2014, would only save the team $2 million in cap room and cost $10 million in dead money, according to the report.

Haloti Ngata
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters he has no doubt that the team will come terms with Haloti Ngata on an extension this offseason.

"He wants to be here. We want him here. It's just a matter of [senior vice president of football administration] Pat Moriarty and [agent] Mike McCartney coming to terms on something that Haloti feels great about and the organization feels great about," Harbaugh told WNST at the combine Wednesday.

"I'm real confident we can get that done. I really believe it will get done. I don't have any doubt in my mind it'll get done, but it's got to get done."

A report last week surfaced that the Ravens informed Ngata that he'll need to take a pay cut if he wants to play for the team in 2015. Ngata, 31, is scheduled to make a team-high $16 million in 2015, and a contract extension could clear some cap space for the Ravens.

Terrence Brooks
News
The Ravens announced that defensive back Terrence Brooks will start the 2015 season on the physically unable to perform list.

Brooks is recovering from torn knee ligaments, which he suffered covering a kickoff in mid-December.

Arthur Brown
News
The Ravens have placed linebacker Arthur Brown on injured reserve with a thigh injury to make way for defensive lineman Haloti Ngata to be placed on the active roster. Brown was only able to play in four games this season and did not record a tackle.

Other than Brown, the Ravens have listed tackle Eugne Monroe (ankle) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (foot and ankle) as out for Saturday's wild card game against the Steelers.

Monroe has not played since Week 16 against the Texans when he injured his ankle. Defensive end Chris Canty is considered probable.

“I want to build upon it,” Forsett told the Baltimore Sun. “I want to be great. I didn’t come in this league to be a one-year wonder."

A misdemeanor failure to obey charge against Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith has been dismissed.

Smith was arrested last July 12 for reasonable and lawful order of a law enforcement officer. Initially, a court date was slated for Feb. 17 before prosecutors decided not to move forward.

"Jimmy is thrilled to put this case behind him," Smith's attorney Warren Alperstein told The Baltimore Sun. "He remains fully focused on his recovery from his injury and looks forward to getting ready for next season."

Smith was alleged to have interfered with officers and emergency medical personnel that arrived at a Towson, Md. restaurant to tend to an intoxicated woman who is a friend of Smith’s. According to police, Smith declined to move out of the way because he said he was helping her.

Smith missed the latter half of the NFL season with a Lisfranc sprain. His season ended with 28 tackles and one interception.
