Darian Stewart
News
With the No. 79 pick in the NFL Draft, the Ravens selected safety Terrence Brooks from Florida State.

This is the second year in a row the Ravens have addressed safety in the draft when they selected Matt Elam in the first round in 2013. Brooks should challenge Darian Stewart for the starting job at free safety this season.

He started 13 games for the Seminoles in 2013 and posted a stat line of 56-5-2 with eight tackles for loss, one sack and two forced fumbles.

Jeromy Miles
News
The Ravens announced Friday they have signed special teams standout Jeromy Miles, reports ESPN.

Miles spent 2013 with the Ravens and recorded 10 tackles.

C.J. Mosley
News
Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley was fined $8,268 for a late hit on Bengals running back Giovani Bernard in the team's Week 1 loss, the Baltimore Sun reports. The linebacker is permitted to file an appeal of the fine.
Ryan Jensen
News
The Ravens are down to 53 players, thanks to a series of Saturday cuts.

The offensive players now gone are linemen Parker Graham, A.Q. Shipley and Ryan Jensen, tight end Phillip Supernaw, quarterback Keith Wenning and running back Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Those on defense include defensive backs Dominique Franks, Derek Cox, Tramain Jacobs and Sammy Seamster, linebacker John Simon and linemen Jamie Meder and A.J. Pataiali'i.

The team also placed wide receiver Jeremy Butler on injured reserve.

Jeremy Zuttah
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed to ESPN that newly acquired center Jeremy Zuttah will start for them ahead of Gino Gradkowski. Zuttah was brought on the roster in exchange for a draft pick last week.
Asa Jackson
News
Ravens running back Bernard Pierce has been listed as questionable for the Sunday game in Cleveland with a thigh injury. He is the lone Baltimore player so designated Friday.

Deemed doubtful is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee). The probables are quarterback Joe Flacco (illness), cornerbacks Lardarius Webb (back) and Asa Jackson (concussion) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee).

Steve Smith
News
Wide receiver Steve Smith continued to make a huge impact on his new team Sunday. He not only led the way for the Ravens with five receptions for 101 yards, but he made the catch that allowed his team to best the Browns.

Smith snagged a 33-yard pass from Joe Flacco with just over a minute left to set up the game-winning field goal. If not for that play, those numbers would not have mattered.

"When I line up, I think there's no better option than myself," he told the team website after the victory. "That's what we're here for - to make plays."

Smith has made plenty of plays in two games, including catches of 25 and 30 yards against fine Cleveland cornerback Joe Haden on Sunday. He aleady has 13 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown. He will seek to pile on to those impressive numbers when his team hosts Carolina in Week 4.

Marcel Jones
News
The Saints have knocked their roster down to 53 by waiving a number of players Saturday.

Among the offense players let go are center Matt Armstrong, wide receivers Seantavius Jones , Brandon Coleman and Charles Hawkins, tight end Nic Jacobs, guards Jason Weaver and Marcel Jones, tackles Tavon Rooks and Thomas Welch and running backs Greg Jones and Derrick Strozier.

The defenders cut loose are cornerbacks Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick and Derrius Brooks, linebackers Keyunta Dawson and Todd Davis, tackle Lawrence Virgil, safety Pierre Warren.

Placekickers Shayne Graham and Derek Dimke are also out.

Aaron Ross
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced Thursday that cornerback Aaron Ross would be lost for the season after tearing his Achilles during conditioning drills, FOX Sports reported. Ross was planning to push for a starting job after struggling with a back injury and ultimately missing a chunk of last season.

The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Michael Campanaro , safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Arthur Brown and offensive linemen Jah Reid and John Urschel.

Brynden Trawick
News
The Ravens tendered offers to their six exclusive rights free agents: safeties Omar Brown, Brynden Trawick and Anthony Levine, and linebackers D.J. Bryant, Josh Bynes and Adrian Hamilton.
Joe Flacco
News
Ravens running back Justin Forsett was overshadowed in the first half by rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro in Cleveland on Sunday. But he made his presence felt down the stretch.

Forsett was held to just nine yards on five atempts before intermission, but got rolling with a 21-yard run off a flip left to the Cleveland 1 to set up a touchdown. He added successive carries of 23 and 10 yards midway through the fourth quarter and finished with 11 tries for 63 yards. He averaged nine yards per carry in the second half.

His next action is slated for Week 4 against Carolina.

Tyrod Taylor
News
The Ravens drafted Keith Wenning in the sixth round to vie with Tyrod Taylor for the backup job behind quarterback Joe Flacco. But in minicamps, Wenning did not appear ready to challenge Taylor, reports the Baltimore Sun.

The paper expects Wenning to serve as the No. 3 quarterback this season while Taylor finishes out his rookie contract.

Terrence Cody
News
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh indicated that defensive tackle Terrence Cody (hip) will not return from the Physically Unable to Perform list at least for another few weeks, per ESPN.

"I'd say no. He's going to rehab the hip for a while," Harbaugh said.

Timmy Jernigan
News
Running back Bernard Pierce is one of only two injured scratches for the Ravens on Sunday as they prepare for their clash in Cleveland. The other is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee).

The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Michael Campanaro , safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Arthur Brown and offensive linemen Jah Reid and John Urschel.

Injury
Knee - Missed Week 3 at Cleveland
Christo Bilukidi
News
The Ravens have listed CB Lardarius Webb, WR Michael Campanaro, WR Deonte Thompson, OL John Urschel, OL Jah Reid, DT Christo Bilukidi and LB Arthur Brown as inactive Week 2 against the Steelers.

Webb entered the game questionable due to a back injury. This is the second straight game Webb has missed due to the issue.

Terrell Suggs
News
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was mostly quiet in Week 1 against the Bengals, a 23-16 loss.

Suggs had just five tackles -- two solo -- in the loss, and made no impact elsewhere on the box score.

Will Hill
News
The Ravens have signed suspended safety Will Hill to a one-year deal, according to the Baltimore Sun. Hill is suspended for six games for violating the league's substance abuse policy while with the Giants, his second suspension since entering the NFL.

"If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome explained.

Injury
Suspension - Eligible to return Week 7 vs. Atlanta
Torrey Smith
News
The surprisingly slow start to the season for Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith continued Sunday in Cleveland.

Smith caught just two passes for 25 yards despite eight targets as he appeared out of sync with Joe Flacco from start to finish. His drop on 3rd and 16 with 2:30 remaining nearly doomed his team, which rallied to win.

With just six receptions for 85 yards in three games in 2014 after exploding for 1,128 yards a year ago, Smith will try to get back on track in Week 4 against Carolina.

Fitzgerald Toussaint
News
The Ravens signed running back Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad and waived wide receiver Deonte Thompson Saturday. The move allows the team to have more depth at running back with Bernard Pierce (thigh) questionable to play in Week 3.
Ricky Wagner
News
The Ravens are prepared to enter the season with 2013 fifth-rounder Ricky Wagner as their right tackle, reports ESPN.com. Baltimore let Michael Oher leave in free agency and didn't add a significant offensive tackle.

Wagner played 12 percent of the offensive snaps last year as an extra blocker, and worked with the starters throughout the offseason. He'll have to fend off Ryan Jensen to keep the starting job.

"It's now Wagner's job to lose," the report said.

Daryl Smith
News
Ravens linebacker Daryl Smith put together a solid performance in Week 1 against the Bengals, in a 23-16 loss Sunday.

Smith had nine tackles -- four solo -- in the game, but did not make an impact otherwise.

Lardarius Webb
News
Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb is ready to roll Sunday in Cleveland despite a back issue that kept him out of the first two games. The news comes as no surprise - he was listed as probable.
Haloti Ngata
News
Looking to free up cap space earlier this offseason, the Ravens offered a "lucrative, long-term" deal with defensive lineman Haloti Ngata so that he wouldn't cost $16 million in cap space. Ngata, 30 years old with two years left on his current deal, wasn't willing to take the extension, NFL Network reports.
Terrence Brooks

Courtney Upshaw
News
Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw had four tackles in Sunday's 10-17 overtime victory over the Bengals. Upshaw now has 20 tackles on the season.

The Ravens face the Bears in Week 11.

Arthur Brown

Kamar Aiken
News
Asked what the Ravens' offense lacks, wideout Torrey Smith mentioned a "move-the-chains" receiver like Anquan Boldin. Of course, Baltimore traded Boldin following its Super Bowl victory last year.

“I don’t want to say an Anquan, but just a guy that’s like a move-the-chains guy," Smith told the Baltimore Sun. "That’s probably someone that we need on a consistent basis. Another weapon like that is just another person that Joe [Flacco] can rely on.”

Second-year pro Marlon Brown returns to the receiving corps, while Baltimore could lose unrestricted free agent Jacoby Jones and restricted free agent Tandon Doss. The other four receivers on the roster -- Deonte Thompson, Kamar Aiken, Gerrard Sheppard and Aaron Mellette – all are unproven, the report said.

Justin Tucker
News
Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker  proved perfect in three field goal attempts Sunday in Cleveland. The last of the trio that sailed through the uprights from 32 yards out gave his team the victory.

Tucker hit from 38 to open the scoring and added a 21-yarder with five minutes left in the game before his final heroics. He also made both of his extra-point tries.

He will seek perfection again in Week 4 with Carolina coming to town.

Justin Forsett
News
It took just about every other back being unavailable, but Ravens rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro got the chance to shine in Week 3 against the Browns.

Taliaferro led the Ravens in rushing yards Sunday, racking up a team-high 91 on 18 carries, including a 31-yard long run and a 1-yard touchdown. However, he was actually less effective on a per-touch basis than Justin Forsett, who averaged 5.7 yards per carry to Taliaferro's 5.1. Forsett also saw a slightly larger share of the team's offensive snaps -- 54 percent to 46 percent. Is Taliaferro a star in the making, or just a flash in the pan?

Among the four players who have had at least 10 carries through three games against the Browns, Taliaferro actually ranked fourth in yards per carry, as the Browns are giving up 5.2 yards per carry to opposing running backs. Though you will certainly want to go out and add Taliaferro, be mindful of the fact that he did his work against a team that has been pitiful against the run thus far.

The Ravens have seemed to be looking for reasons to push Bernard Pierce down the depth chart this season, but it is not clear if Taliaferro's performance in Week 3 will be enough to do that for good. With Taliaferro's emergence, the Ravens look to have three dependable options in the back field, meaning he is likely to be working in a crowded backfield for the time being. Taliaferro is an interesting pickup, though likely not a Fantasy starter at this point.

Jeremy Butler

Kapron Lewis-Moore
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Injury
Achilles - IR. Out for season
Owen Daniels
News
With Dennis Pitta going down with another hip injury, Ravens tight end Owen Daniels is likely to be thrust into a larger role than he has had the first three games, and it is one he should be well-suited to fill.

It is easy to forget, but Daniels was considered a borderline No. 1 tight end last season, before he suffering through a season of Matt Schaub's quarterbacking and a fractured fibula. In 2012, he finished 8th among tight ends in Fantasy scoring -- just two points behind Pitta. Daniels caught 60.2 percent of passes thrown his way to finish the season with 62 receptions for 716 yards that season, and could put up similar numbers the rest of the way.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco likes to throw to his tight ends, as Ed Dickson, Dallas Clark and Pitta combined for 128 targets a year ago. With Daniels the best receiving option left among the team's tight ends, expect most of the looks to go his way, and he already showed in Week 2 he can be a solid red-zone target for Flacco.

Daniels is still unowned in three-quarters of CBSSports.com leagues, but should be worth targeting if you lost Pitta or are otherwise looking for help this week.

Dennis Pitta
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced Monday tight end Dennis Pitta underwent surgery after injuring his hip Sunday at Cleveland and will miss the remainder of the season.

Jamie Meder

Jimmy Smith
News
At times this preseason it was a real question whether the Ravens' starting cornerbacks, Jimmy Smith and Lardarius Webb, would be ready for the opener against Cincinnati. Now both seem guaranteed to play.

Smith, who had a bruised chest, is no longer listed on the injury report. Webb also practiced in full Wednesday after missing the entire preseason with a back issue.

Sam Koch
News
Ravens punter Sam Koch is a likely salary cap casualty, reports ESPN.com. The team can gain $1.6 million in cap room by releasing Koch, who finished 22nd in net punting average (38.9 yards).
Lou Young
News
Elvis Dumervil
News
Ravens LB Elvis Dumervil is active Week 17.

Dumervil came into the game questionable due to an ankle injury. He was limited in practices throughout the week.

Brent Urban
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Gino Gradkowski
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed to ESPN that newly acquired center Jeremy Zuttah will start for them ahead of Gino Gradkowski. Zuttah was brought on the roster in exchange for a draft pick last week.
DeAngelo Tyson
News
The Ravens DST intercepted Matthew Stafford three times in the Week 15 win at Detroit, holding the high-octane Lions to 16 points. Defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson, linebacker Daryl Smith and safety Matt Elam picked off Stafford in the second half.

Smith has three interceptions this year, tied for the team lead, after snagging Stafford's ill-advised pass over the middle. Smith added a sack, giving him 4 1/2 this season.

Baltimore got a lift from the return of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who had two quarterback hits and two tackles. The Ravens DST faces another tough matchup Week 16 vs. the Patriots.

Kelechi Osemele
News
The rehab for Ravens offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele is going well, the official team website reports. Osemele had back surgery last November but is on track for "a smooth return."

Osemele is penciled in at one of the guard spots this season.

Chykie Brown
News
In the battle for the Ravens' nickel corner job, Asa Jackson has taken the lead over Chykie Brown, ESPN.com reports Saturday.

Jackson has been impressive in training camp, and he picked off a pass in the first preseason game against the 49ers. Brown has been filling in for starting corner Lardarius Webb, who has missed time due to a back injury, but seems likely to open the season as a reserve at this point.

Jacoby Jones
News
Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones made minimal contributions Week 2 against the Steelers.

Jones caught one pass for 4 yards. He also received one carry for 2 yards. Jones also had two punt returns, including a 33 yard return, during the contest. He'll take on the Browns Week 3.

Eugene Monroe

Bernard Pierce
News
Ravens featured back Bernard Pierce has been given the stop sign for the Week 3 clash in Cleveland. He is inactive after having been listed as questionable with a thigh injury. The result is that Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro will receive the bulk of the carries.
Injury
Thigh - Missed Week 3 at Cleveland
Albert McClellan
News
Three injured Ravens defenders have been given various tags for the battle against the Bengals on Sunday. Cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh) is doubtful, defensive end Arthur Jones (concussion) is questionable and linebacker Albert McClellan (neck) is probable.
Lorenzo Taliaferro
News
An injury to featured back Bernard Pierce allowed the Ravens to unveil rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro in Cleveland on Sunday - and it was quite an unveiling.

Taliaferro ran roughshod over the Browns upon his arrival in the game. He opened with a 9-yard burst over the middle, added a 31-yard jaunt through a gaping hole in the second quarter and finished the first half with 81 yards on just 11 carries. He was held thereafter to just 10 yards on seven attempt, but one of them was a 1-yard touchdown blast with five minutes remaining in the third quarter.

The rookie, who did not snag a pass in the game, will continue his coming-out party next Sunday against the visiting Panthers.

Matt Elam
News
The Ravens' Matt Elam is expected to move from free safety to strong safety for his second season, reports the Baltimore Sun. Current strong safety James Ihedigbo is a free agent.

Elam had 77 tackles, three passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and an interception while playing all 16 games. The paper expects the hard-hitting Elam "to make a much bigger impact" at strong safety, his more natural position.

Kyle Juszczyk
News
Ravens heretofore unknown fullback Kyle Juszczyk is no longer unknown, thanks to a notable performance Sunday in Cleveland.

Juszczyk made his first impact by burning the unsuspecting Browns with a wide-open snag for a 9-yard touchdown to turn a 7-3 deficit into a 10-7 lead midway through the second quarter. He later raced 32 yards on a screen off a misdirection play to start a touchdown drive that again put Baltimore ahead. He lined up often at tight end in the absence of injured Dennis Pitta.

He finished with three catches for 54 yards. Juszczyk will seek to take his momentum and run with it in Week 4 against the visiting Panthers.
