Darian Stewart
News
With the No. 79 pick in the NFL Draft, the Ravens selected safety Terrence Brooks from Florida State.

This is the second year in a row the Ravens have addressed safety in the draft when they selected Matt Elam in the first round in 2013. Brooks should challenge Darian Stewart for the starting job at free safety this season.

He started 13 games for the Seminoles in 2013 and posted a stat line of 56-5-2 with eight tackles for loss, one sack and two forced fumbles.

Jeromy Miles
News
The Ravens announced Friday they have signed special teams standout Jeromy Miles, reports ESPN.

Miles spent 2013 with the Ravens and recorded 10 tackles.

C.J. Mosley
News
Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley was fined $8,268 for a late hit on Bengals running back Giovani Bernard in the team's Week 1 loss, the Baltimore Sun reports. The linebacker is permitted to file an appeal of the fine.
Ryan Jensen
News
The Ravens are down to 53 players, thanks to a series of Saturday cuts.

The offensive players now gone are linemen Parker Graham, A.Q. Shipley and Ryan Jensen, tight end Phillip Supernaw, quarterback Keith Wenning and running back Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Those on defense include defensive backs Dominique Franks, Derek Cox, Tramain Jacobs and Sammy Seamster, linebacker John Simon and linemen Jamie Meder and A.J. Pataiali'i.

The team also placed wide receiver Jeremy Butler on injured reserve.

Jeremy Zuttah
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed to ESPN that newly acquired center Jeremy Zuttah will start for them ahead of Gino Gradkowski. Zuttah was brought on the roster in exchange for a draft pick last week.
Asa Jackson
News
Ravens running back Bernard Pierce has been listed as questionable for the Sunday game in Cleveland with a thigh injury. He is the lone Baltimore player so designated Friday.

Deemed doubtful is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee). The probables are quarterback Joe Flacco (illness), cornerbacks Lardarius Webb (back) and Asa Jackson (concussion) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee).

Steve Smith
News
The Ravens might have to throw the ball a lot to keep up with the Colts in Week 5, which could be a good thing for Steve Smith's Fantasy owners.

Steve has been the more productive of the Smith duo for the Ravens, as he ranks third in the league in receiving yards. He should be able to add to that total against the Colts, though they have been surprisingly stingy against opposing wide receivers this season. Even with games against the Broncos and Eagles in their wake, the Colts have allowed the third-fewest Fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, at 15.5.

Still, Smith has been reinvigorated by his new surroundings, and has been too productive to consider sitting even against what looks like it could be a tough matchup. Dave Richard and Jamey Eisenberg are not quite in agreement about Smith's value for Week 5, with Jamey ranking him 14 spots lower than Dave's No. 7 ranking among wide receivers. Still, they agree that Smith is worth starting in Week 5.

Marcel Jones
News
The Saints have knocked their roster down to 53 by waiving a number of players Saturday.

Among the offense players let go are center Matt Armstrong, wide receivers Seantavius Jones , Brandon Coleman and Charles Hawkins, tight end Nic Jacobs, guards Jason Weaver and Marcel Jones, tackles Tavon Rooks and Thomas Welch and running backs Greg Jones and Derrick Strozier.

The defenders cut loose are cornerbacks Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick and Derrius Brooks, linebackers Keyunta Dawson and Todd Davis, tackle Lawrence Virgil, safety Pierre Warren.

Placekickers Shayne Graham and Derek Dimke are also out.

Aaron Ross
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced Thursday that cornerback Aaron Ross would be lost for the season after tearing his Achilles during conditioning drills, FOX Sports reported. Ross was planning to push for a starting job after struggling with a back injury and ultimately missing a chunk of last season.

Tramain Jacobs

Will Rackley
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Injury
John Urschel
News
Ravens wide receiver Michael Campanaro, cornerback Lardarius Webb, linebacker Arthur Brown, tackle Eugene Monroe, offensive lineman John Urschel, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy were ruled inactive Week 4 vs. Carolina.
James Hurst
News
Ravens rookie tackle James Hurst is expected to fill in at left tackle with Eugene Monroe likely to miss multiple weeks due to knee surgery. Hurst will get his first start Week 4 against the Panthers.

"I’m excited about it. I’m going to put in all the work I can to be prepared for Sunday," Hurst said, per the team's official website. "I’m confident. We have a lot of good guys on the line that I’ve been able to learn from for a long time now. We’ve got a great coach, great coaching staff, great game plan. So I’m really confident I’ve got the pieces around me to help me as much as possible."

Anthony Levine
News
The Ravens tendered offers to their six exclusive rights free agents: safeties Omar Brown, Brynden Trawick and Anthony Levine, and linebackers D.J. Bryant, Josh Bynes and Adrian Hamilton.
Phillip Supernaw
News
The Ravens announced Tuesday they placed tight end Dennis Pitta (hip) on injured reserve. To take his spot on the roster, tight end Phillip Supernaw was elevated from the practice squad.
Brynden Trawick
News
The Ravens tendered offers to their six exclusive rights free agents: safeties Omar Brown, Brynden Trawick and Anthony Levine, and linebackers D.J. Bryant, Josh Bynes and Adrian Hamilton.
Joe Flacco
News
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco tossed three touchdowns, including two to veteran receiver Steve Smith, in Sunday's 38-10 rout of Carolina. Flacco completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards and no interceptions, while rushing for 3 yards on one carry.

Flacco did most of his damage by halftime, as he completed 13 of 21 passes for 228 yards and had a quarterback rating of 130.7 in the first half. Flacco also had both of his touchdown passes to Smith in the second quarter. The first one was a 61-yard touchdown pass that Smith took to the house after catching a deflection off tight end Owen Daniels' hands. The second touchdown was a 21-yard pass to Smith with 1:53 left in the first half, which came after Flacco picked up a fumbled snap.

Flacco threw for multiple touchdowns for the second time in four games. He has seven passing touchdowns to two interceptions this season. The Ravens are back in action Week 5 at Indianapolis.

Tyrod Taylor
News
The Ravens drafted Keith Wenning in the sixth round to vie with Tyrod Taylor for the backup job behind quarterback Joe Flacco. But in minicamps, Wenning did not appear ready to challenge Taylor, reports the Baltimore Sun.

The paper expects Wenning to serve as the No. 3 quarterback this season while Taylor finishes out his rookie contract.

Terrence Cody
News
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh indicated that defensive tackle Terrence Cody (hip) will not return from the Physically Unable to Perform list at least for another few weeks, per ESPN.

"I'd say no. He's going to rehab the hip for a while," Harbaugh said.
Injury
Hip - PUP. Eligible to return Week 7 vs. Atlanta
Timmy Jernigan
News
Ravens rookie defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan is expected to be sidelined for a second straight game Sunday against Carolina with a meniscus problem in his knee that prevented him from playing in Week 3, per the Baltimore Sun.

Jernigan is expected back at some point this season, but has no timetable. He is hoping to avoid surgery and rehab.

Injury
Knee - Missed Week 4 vs. Carolina
Christo Bilukidi
News
The Ravens have listed CB Lardarius Webb, WR Michael Campanaro, WR Deonte Thompson, OL John Urschel, OL Jah Reid, DT Christo Bilukidi and LB Arthur Brown as inactive Week 2 against the Steelers.

Webb entered the game questionable due to a back injury. This is the second straight game Webb has missed due to the issue.

Terrell Suggs
News
Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs left Sunday's game against the Panthers after aggravating a groin injury. Suggs came into the game as probable.

"I'm going to be all right. It was nothing big. We were up so we just pulled it, so we're good," Suggs said, per The Baltimore Sun.

Injury
Groin - Left Week 4 vs. Carolina
Emmanuel Ogbuehi
News
The Browns signed defensive lineman Calvin Barnett to the practice squad and released tight end Emmanual Ogbuehi Monday, the team announced.
Will Hill
News
The Ravens have signed suspended safety Will Hill to a one-year deal, according to the Baltimore Sun. Hill is suspended for six games for violating the league's substance abuse policy while with the Giants, his second suspension since entering the NFL.

"If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season," Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome explained.

Injury
Suspension - Eligible to return Week 7 vs. Atlanta
Torrey Smith
News
Ravens receiver Torrey Smith has drawn five pass interference penalties, most in the NFL, notes ESPN.com. Smith also led the league in 2012 when he drew 16 such flags.

"If [pass interference] counted as points, we probably would have won by 100," Smith said of the Week 4 win over Carolina. "It happens every game, which is frustrating for me individually, but it's great that we continue to move the ball."

The interference flags Smith has drawn this year have led to 98 yards. He has eight catches for 138 yards and a touchdown.

Fitzgerald Toussaint
News
The Ravens announced Tuesday they signed wide receiver Deonte Thompson, who was waived Saturday. To clear a roster sport, running back Fitzgerald Toussaint was waived.
Ricky Wagner
News
The Ravens are prepared to enter the season with 2013 fifth-rounder Ricky Wagner as their right tackle, reports ESPN.com. Baltimore let Michael Oher leave in free agency and didn't add a significant offensive tackle.

Wagner played 12 percent of the offensive snaps last year as an extra blocker, and worked with the starters throughout the offseason. He'll have to fend off Ryan Jensen to keep the starting job.

"It's now Wagner's job to lose," the report said.

Daryl Smith
News
Ravens linebacker Daryl Smith put together a solid performance in Week 1 against the Bengals, in a 23-16 loss Sunday.

Smith had nine tackles -- four solo -- in the game, but did not make an impact otherwise.

Lardarius Webb
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday he is aiming for cornerback Lardarius Webb to get back on the field Week 5 against the Colts. Even though he was a healthy scratch Week 4 vs. Carolina, Webb missed the first two games due to a back injury and was limited in his season debut Week 3.
Haloti Ngata
News
Looking to free up cap space earlier this offseason, the Ravens offered a "lucrative, long-term" deal with defensive lineman Haloti Ngata so that he wouldn't cost $16 million in cap space. Ngata, 30 years old with two years left on his current deal, wasn't willing to take the extension, NFL Network reports.
Terrence Brooks
News
Running back Bernard Pierce is one of only two injured scratches for the Ravens on Sunday as they prepare for their clash in Cleveland. The other is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee).

The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Michael Campanaro , safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Arthur Brown and offensive linemen Jah Reid and John Urschel.

Courtney Upshaw
News
Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw had four tackles in Sunday's 10-17 overtime victory over the Bengals. Upshaw now has 20 tackles on the season.

The Ravens face the Bears in Week 11.

Arthur Brown
News
Ravens wide receiver Michael Campanaro, cornerback Lardarius Webb, linebacker Arthur Brown, tackle Eugene Monroe, offensive lineman John Urschel, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy were ruled inactive Week 4 vs. Carolina.
Kamar Aiken
News
Asked what the Ravens' offense lacks, wideout Torrey Smith mentioned a "move-the-chains" receiver like Anquan Boldin. Of course, Baltimore traded Boldin following its Super Bowl victory last year.

“I don’t want to say an Anquan, but just a guy that’s like a move-the-chains guy," Smith told the Baltimore Sun. "That’s probably someone that we need on a consistent basis. Another weapon like that is just another person that Joe [Flacco] can rely on.”

Second-year pro Marlon Brown returns to the receiving corps, while Baltimore could lose unrestricted free agent Jacoby Jones and restricted free agent Tandon Doss. The other four receivers on the roster -- Deonte Thompson, Kamar Aiken, Gerrard Sheppard and Aaron Mellette – all are unproven, the report said.

Justin Tucker
News
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker finished with eight points during a 38-10 win Week 4 vs. Carolina. He has managed at least eight points in his last three games.

Tucker missed a 57-yard field goal wide left just before halftime. He then converted a 30-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. He made all five of his extra points in the win.

The Ravens are back in action Week 5 at Indianapolis.

Justin Forsett
News
Making sense of the Ravens backfield is going to be a chore for the next few weeks, especially since we assume Bernard Pierce will return to the field at some point in Week 5 against the Colts. How should Fantasy owners view Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro heading into this weekend's matchup?

Dave Richard and Jamey Eisenberg are in agreement that Justin Forsett is the guy to own and start this weekend, with both ranking him among the top-21 for running backs in Week 5. Dave is higher on Taliaferro than Jamey, ranking him 24th, just behind Forsett; Jamey has him at 31.

Neither has Pierce ranked this week, as his role is a total mystery. Pierce was active but didn't see the field in Week 4, and we aren't sure how much he is expected to play Sunday. Even if you are desperate, there have to be better options on your roster with just two teams on bye.

Jeremy Butler

Injury

Kapron Lewis-Moore
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Injury
Achilles - IR. Out for season
Owen Daniels
News
Ravens tight end Owen Daniels finished with a season-best 43 receiving yards during a 38-10 win Week 4 vs. Carolina. Daniels was targeted six times and caught four passes, with his longest reception going 14 yards.

Daniels has four or more catches in three of four games. The Ravens are back in action Week 5 at Indianapolis.

Dennis Pitta
News
The Ravens announced Tuesday they placed tight end Dennis Pitta (hip) on injured reserve. To take his spot on the roster, tight end Phillip Supernaw was elevated from the practice squad.

Jimmy Smith
News
Several premier Ravens have been designated as probable for the Week 4 game against visiting Carolina. Included are running back Bernard Pierce (thigh), wide receiver Steve Smith (non-injury related), cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee/ankle), tight end Owen Daniels (non-injury related) and linebacker Terrell Suggs (thigh).

Defensive lineman Chris Canty (knee) is questionable. Fellow tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee) are out.

Sam Koch
News
Ravens punter Sam Koch is a likely salary cap casualty, reports ESPN.com. The team can gain $1.6 million in cap room by releasing Koch, who finished 22nd in net punting average (38.9 yards).
Lou Young
News
Elvis Dumervil
News
Ravens LB Elvis Dumervil is active Week 17.

Dumervil came into the game questionable due to an ankle injury. He was limited in practices throughout the week.

Brent Urban
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Gino Gradkowski
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed to ESPN that newly acquired center Jeremy Zuttah will start for them ahead of Gino Gradkowski. Zuttah was brought on the roster in exchange for a draft pick last week.
Lawrence Guy
News
Ravens wide receiver Michael Campanaro, cornerback Lardarius Webb, linebacker Arthur Brown, tackle Eugene Monroe, offensive lineman John Urschel, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy were ruled inactive Week 4 vs. Carolina.
DeAngelo Tyson
News
The Ravens DST intercepted Matthew Stafford three times in the Week 15 win at Detroit, holding the high-octane Lions to 16 points. Defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson, linebacker Daryl Smith and safety Matt Elam picked off Stafford in the second half.

Smith has three interceptions this year, tied for the team lead, after snagging Stafford's ill-advised pass over the middle. Smith added a sack, giving him 4 1/2 this season.

Baltimore got a lift from the return of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who had two quarterback hits and two tackles. The Ravens DST faces another tough matchup Week 16 vs. the Patriots.

Kelechi Osemele
News
The rehab for Ravens offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele is going well, the official team website reports. Osemele had back surgery last November but is on track for "a smooth return."

Osemele is penciled in at one of the guard spots this season.

Chykie Brown
News
In the battle for the Ravens' nickel corner job, Asa Jackson has taken the lead over Chykie Brown, ESPN.com reports Saturday.

Jackson has been impressive in training camp, and he picked off a pass in the first preseason game against the 49ers. Brown has been filling in for starting corner Lardarius Webb, who has missed time due to a back injury, but seems likely to open the season as a reserve at this point.

Jacoby Jones
News
Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown is starting to see his role increase while Jacoby Jones is trending downward in terms of production, according to the Baltimore Sun on Monday.

Brown, who only earned three snaps in Week 2 against the Steelers, totaled 23 in Week 3 and a season-high 31 snaps on offense in a Week 4 win over the Panthers. He caught all three passes thrown to his for 31 yards.

Meanwhile, Jones, who signed a four-year $12.055 million contract in the offseason, dropped the only pass thrown in his direction on Sunday. He played just seven offensive snaps against Carolina.

Eugene Monroe
News
Ravens left tackle Eugene Monroe, who had arthroscopic knee surgery last week, is expected to miss roughly a month, reports the Baltimore Sun. Undrafted rookie James Hurst filled in well Week 4 and should continue to start in Monroe's absence, according to the team's website.

The Ravens visit the Colts on Sunday.

Bernard Pierce
News
Ravens running back Bernard Pierce was cleared to play Week 4 vs. Carolina after sitting out Week 3 due to a thigh injury. However, Pierce did not see the field Sunday as coach John Harbaugh held him out for precautionary reasons.

Running backs Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro combined for 124 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 38-10 win.

"He wasn't really 100 percent," Harbaugh said of Pierce, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Albert McClellan
News
Three injured Ravens defenders have been given various tags for the battle against the Bengals on Sunday. Cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh) is doubtful, defensive end Arthur Jones (concussion) is questionable and linebacker Albert McClellan (neck) is probable.
Lorenzo Taliaferro
News
In his debut last week against the Browns, rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro had a wonderful first half before getting stuffed in the second half. This week he had a weak first half, getting 2 yards on two carries with a goal-line score, before coming back in the second half and running wild over the Panthers defense for 56 yards on 13 carries (4.3 yards per carry) including a 23-yard run.

Those who spent the high waiver claim or FAAB dollars on Taliaferro last week were handsomely rewarded as the Ravens opted to give him the rushing downs role instead of Bernard Pierce. Until further notice, Fantasy owners should expect Taliaferro to keep that job.

The Ravens play at the Colts in Week 5, at the Buccaneers in Week 6, vs. the Falcons in Week 7 and then at the Bengals in Week 8 before a pair of enticing matchups in Weeks 9 and 10 before the bye. Taliaferro should be penciled in Fantasy lineups as at least a flex.
