Darian Stewart
News
With the No. 79 pick in the NFL Draft, the Ravens selected safety Terrence Brooks from Florida State.

This is the second year in a row the Ravens have addressed safety in the draft when they selected Matt Elam in the first round in 2013. Brooks should challenge Darian Stewart for the starting job at free safety this season.

He started 13 games for the Seminoles in 2013 and posted a stat line of 56-5-2 with eight tackles for loss, one sack and two forced fumbles.

James Hurst

News
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw two touchdowns and two interceptions during a 29-7 win Week 7 vs. Atlanta. Flacco completed 16 of 25 passes for 258 yards, while rushing for 4 yards on one carry.

Flacco got off to a quick start Sunday, as he finished off the team's opening drive with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Owen Daniels. While the Ravens built a 17-0 halftime lead, Flacco didn't get his second touchdown pass until the team's final offensive drive in the fourth quarter. On a fourth-and-9 with 1:46 left, Flacco connected with Torrey Smith for a 39-yard touchdown.

Flacco came close to a three-touchdown game Sunday, but he was intercepted in the end zone on a third-and-9 play from the Falcons' 16-yard line late in the third quarter.

The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Hill served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. He is expected to play in a limited fashion against the Falcons.

Injury
Suspension - Eligible to return Week 7 vs. Atlanta
Torrey Smith
News
Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith scored for a second straight week and the fourth time in four games during a 29-7 win Week 7 vs. Atlanta. Smith totaled three catches for a team-high 81 yards.

Smith was having a pretty quiet day until he connected with quarterback Joe Flacco for a 39-yard touchdown with 1:46 left in the fourth quarter on a fourth-and-9 play. Smith was targeted five times.

The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Fitzgerald Toussaint
News
The Ravens announced Tuesday they signed wide receiver Deonte Thompson, who was waived Saturday. To clear a roster sport, running back Fitzgerald Toussaint was waived.
Ricky Wagner
News
The Ravens are prepared to enter the season with 2013 fifth-rounder Ricky Wagner as their right tackle, reports ESPN.com. Baltimore let Michael Oher leave in free agency and didn't add a significant offensive tackle.

Wagner played 12 percent of the offensive snaps last year as an extra blocker, and worked with the starters throughout the offseason. He'll have to fend off Ryan Jensen to keep the starting job.

"It's now Wagner's job to lose," the report said.

Daryl Smith
News
The Ravens will have their probable players Week 6 against the Bucs.

Matt Elam, Daryl Smith and Jeremy Zuttah should all suit up against Tampa Bay. Elam was listed with a shoulder injury. Smith is dealing with a knee issue, while Zuttah has an ankle injury.

Haloti Ngata
News
Looking to free up cap space earlier this offseason, the Ravens offered a "lucrative, long-term" deal with defensive lineman Haloti Ngata so that he wouldn't cost $16 million in cap space. Ngata, 30 years old with two years left on his current deal, wasn't willing to take the extension, NFL Network reports.
Terrence Brooks
News
Running back Bernard Pierce is one of only two injured scratches for the Ravens on Sunday as they prepare for their clash in Cleveland. The other is defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee).

The rest of the inactives are wide receiver Michael Campanaro , safety Terrence Brooks, linebacker Arthur Brown and offensive linemen Jah Reid and John Urschel.

Courtney Upshaw

The Ravens face the Bears in Week 11.

Arthur Brown
News
Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown, cornerback Chykie Brown, linebacker Arthur Brown, tight end Ryan Taylor, defensive end Chris Canty, left tackle Eugene Monroe and left guard Kelechi Osemele were ruled inactive Week 7 vs. Atlanta.
Kamar Aiken
News
As expected, the Ravens have ruled out defensive end Chris Canty for the Sunday game against Atlanta with a wrist injury. The only other certain no-go is defensive end Christo Bilukidi (ankle).

Also unlikely to play are offensive linemen Eugene Monroe and Kelechi Osemele, both of whom are doubtful with knee injuires. Wide receivers Marlon Brown (pelvis) and Kamar Aiken (concussion) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) are probable.

Justin Tucker
News
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker finished with nine points during a 29-7 win Week 7 vs. Atlanta. Tucker made a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 38-yard field goal in the third quarter. He converted three extra points.

Tucker has managed at least seven points in all but one game this season. The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Justin Forsett
News
Even though he rushed for 95 yards, Justin Forsett's performance Week 7 against the Falcons may seem a little underwhelming to Fantasy owners given that he was the CBSSports.com Start of the Week. After all, he didn't score a touchdown or catch a pass after contributing in both of those areas in previous weeks.

But even more encouraging than his actual production in Week 7 is the fact that he carried the ball 23 times, nearly three times as often as any other Ravens running back. That's a starter's workload, and by giving it to him, the Ravens confirmed once and for all that they see Forsett filling that role. It may have seemed like a given thanks to Forsett's production, but he actually had one fewer carry than Bernard Pierce in Week 6 and split the workload almost evenly with Pierce and Lorenzo Taliaferro in Week 5. Pierce did vulture a touchdown from Forsett in this one, but eight carries for 21 yards confirm he's now only second in the pecking order.

With this performance, Forsett only deserves more of your trust going forward, not less. Keep him active for what's actually a favorable matchup Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Jeremy Butler
News
The Ravens are down to 53 players, thanks to a series of Saturday cuts.

The offensive players now gone are linemen Parker Graham, A.Q. Shipley and Ryan Jensen, tight end Phillip Supernaw, quarterback Keith Wenning and running back Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Those on defense include defensive backs Dominique Franks, Derek Cox, Tramain Jacobs and Sammy Seamster, linebacker John Simon and linemen Jamie Meder and A.J. Pataiali'i.

The team also placed wide receiver Jeremy Butler on injured reserve.

Injury

Kapron Lewis-Moore
News
The Ravens waived safety Omar Brown, linebackers Nick DiMarco and Austin Spitler, punter Richie Leone, offensive tackle David Mims, cornerbacks Marrio Norman and Deji Olatoye, receivers LaQuan Williams and Mike Willie and running back Cierre Wood.

Fullback Shaun Chapas and offensive tackle Brett Van Sloten were waived with injury designations. Baltimore also placed defensive end Kapron Lewis-Moore, guard Will Rackley and defensive end Brent Urban on injured reserve.

Injury
Achilles - IR. Out for season
Owen Daniels
News
Ravens tight end Owen Daniels recorded his first touchdown Week 7 vs. Atlanta since a two-touchdown game Week 2 against the Steelers. Daniels, who was targeted nine times, finished with six catches for 58 yards in a 29-7 win.

Daniels didn't waste any time recording his third touchdown of the season, as he finished off the team's opening drive in the first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown reception. It was his 32nd career touchdown.

The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Dennis Pitta
News
The Ravens announced Tuesday they placed tight end Dennis Pitta (hip) on injured reserve. To take his spot on the roster, tight end Phillip Supernaw was elevated from the practice squad.
Injury

Jimmy Smith
News
Several premier Ravens have been designated as probable for the Week 4 game against visiting Carolina. Included are running back Bernard Pierce (thigh), wide receiver Steve Smith (non-injury related), cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee/ankle), tight end Owen Daniels (non-injury related) and linebacker Terrell Suggs (thigh).

Defensive lineman Chris Canty (knee) is questionable. Fellow tackle Timmy Jernigan (knee) and offensive lineman Eugene Monroe (knee) are out.

Elvis Dumervil
News
Ravens LB Elvis Dumervil is active Week 17.

Dumervil came into the game questionable due to an ankle injury. He was limited in practices throughout the week.

Brent Urban
News

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Gino Gradkowski
News
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed to ESPN that newly acquired center Jeremy Zuttah will start for them ahead of Gino Gradkowski. Zuttah was brought on the roster in exchange for a draft pick last week.
Lawrence Guy
News
Ravens wide receiver Michael Campanaro, cornerback Lardarius Webb, linebacker Arthur Brown, tackle Eugene Monroe, offensive lineman John Urschel, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy were ruled inactive Week 4 vs. Carolina.
Dominique Franks
News
The Ravens re-signed cornerback Dominique Franks, who was cut by the team right before the season, reports the Baltimore Sun. Franks has played in 48 career games, making three interceptions. He spent last season with the Falcons.
DeAngelo Tyson
News
The Ravens DST intercepted Matthew Stafford three times in the Week 15 win at Detroit, holding the high-octane Lions to 16 points. Defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson, linebacker Daryl Smith and safety Matt Elam picked off Stafford in the second half.

Smith has three interceptions this year, tied for the team lead, after snagging Stafford's ill-advised pass over the middle. Smith added a sack, giving him 4 1/2 this season.

Baltimore got a lift from the return of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who had two quarterback hits and two tackles. The Ravens DST faces another tough matchup Week 16 vs. the Patriots.

Kelechi Osemele
News
Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown, cornerback Chykie Brown, linebacker Arthur Brown, tight end Ryan Taylor, defensive end Chris Canty, left tackle Eugene Monroe and left guard Kelechi Osemele were ruled inactive Week 7 vs. Atlanta.
Chykie Brown
News
Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown, cornerback Chykie Brown, linebacker Arthur Brown, tight end Ryan Taylor, defensive end Chris Canty, left tackle Eugene Monroe and left guard Kelechi Osemele were ruled inactive Week 7 vs. Atlanta.
Jacoby Jones
News
The Ravens will stick with wide receiver Jacoby Jones as their punt rerturner, ESPN reports Thursday. Jones has had some issues turning the ball over as of late. He misled a punt, which bounced off his back in Week 5 against Indianapolis.

"We're going to give him more opportunities to do that because we know he's an elite returner," special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg said. "But to be an elite returner, you have to have a ball in your hands. We need to get that fixed, and give him an opportunity to run with it."

Eugene Monroe
News
Ravens tackle Eugene Monroe returned to practice Thursday for the first time since before the Week 4 game against Carolina. That's when he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery.

It remains to be seen if he's cleared to play Sunday against Atlanta.

Bernard Pierce
News
Ravens running back Bernard Pierce recorded a rushing touchdown for a second straight game during a 29-7 win Week 7 vs. Atlanta. Pierce finished with 21 rushing yards on eight carries, while recording no catches. He was targeted once.

Pierce picked up his second rushing touchdown on a 1-yard carry with 2:38 left in the second quarter. He has five career rushing touchdowns, and one more rushing touchdown this season will give him a career high.

The Ravens are back in action Week 8 at Cincinnati.

Albert McClellan
News
Three injured Ravens defenders have been given various tags for the battle against the Bengals on Sunday. Cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh) is doubtful, defensive end Arthur Jones (concussion) is questionable and linebacker Albert McClellan (neck) is probable.
Lorenzo Taliaferro
News
Justin Forsett was once again the most effective of the Ravens running backs in what seemed to become less of a timeshare Week 6 at Tampa Bay. No, he didn't lead the trio in touches -- Bernard Pierce did -- but he did the most with his, picking up 111 yards on 14 carries.

And Pierce may not have had so many touches if the Ravens didn't put the game away with four touchdowns in the first quarter. Of Pierce's 15 carries, nine came in the second half. Of Forsett's 14, only four did.

Though Pierce found the end zone on a 4-yard run in the third quarter, he ran for just 32 yards in all and is now averaging 3.7 yards per carry this season compared to Forsett's 6.4.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, if you're wondering, was a complete afterthought by comparison, rushing twice for 29 yards and catching two passes for 18. If Forsett is the go-to guy and Pierce is the run-out-the-clock guy, Taliaferro's role may be the kind that doesn't add up to anything in Fantasy.

Clearly, Forsett is must-own in Fantasy, but other than having Pierce as a handcuff option, I'm running out of reasons to stash either of the Ravens' other two running backs.

Matt Elam
News
Ravens strong safety Matt Elam is his own worst critic. And he is not happy about his recent play.

Elam has allowed 14 receptions on 17 targets for 249 yards this season. Included were two catches, one of which resulting in a touchdown, in two targets to Buccaneers wideout Louis Murphy on Sunday.

"I'm not pleased with the last couple games at all," he told the Baltimore Sun. "That's why I'm working to get better every week to fine-tune the small things, so I won't have to say that about the next few weeks."

The difficulty of his task will be heightened in Week 7 against Atlanta, which features premier wide receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White.

Kyle Juszczyk
News
The Ravens backup pass catchers found a way to contribute Week 6.
