Kyle Long
News
The following players will not dress for the Bears on Friday against the Eagles: safety Craig Steltz, cornerback Tim Jennings, cornerback Isaiah Frey, safety Chris Conte, offensive lineman Eben Britton, tackle Jordan Mills, defensive end Jared Allen, guard Kyle Long and and tight end Martellus Bennett.
Matt Forte
News
Bears running back Matt Forte was the lone bright spot in his team's Week 7 defeat to Miami at Soldier Field.

Forte had an abysmal first half, rushing for only 11 yards on two carries. He bounced back with a 10-yard touchdown reception on the opening drive of the second half and a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. He posted 109 yards of total offense, rushing for 49 yards and a score on 12 carries. He led the team with six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in a 27-14 defeat.

Forte and the Bears will look to get back in the win column Week 8 at New England.

Willie Young
News
Bears defensive send Willie Young racked up three tackles and two sacks in his team's 27-13 win over the Falcons in Week 6.

Young was largely quiet in the win until late in the fourth quarter, when he sacked Matt Ryan on third down around midfield. On the next drive, he came through with a second sack on first down right before the two-minute warning, and the Falcons were unable to recover, throwing an incomplete pass on fourth-and-1 on their final offensive play. Young already has seven sacks in six games, proving to be a very adept free-agent pickup for the Bears defense.

Terrance Mitchell
News
The following players were ruled active for the Bears at home against Miami in Week 7:  Lance Briggs, Jon Bostic, Chris Conte, Terrance Mitchell, Ahmad Dixon, Charles Leno and Trevor Scott.
Jermon Bushrod
News
Bears left tackle Jermon Bushrod was upgraded to a full participant in practice Thursday, which is a strong indication he could make his return to the lineup Week 7 vs. Miami. Bushrod has missed the last two games due to knee and ankle injuries.
Chris Williams
News
The Bears promoted center Taylor Boggs and wide receivers Josh Bellamy and Chris Williams from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The team waived three players earlier in the day as a precursor to the promotions. The Bears are dealing with injuries to three receivers and two interior linemen, precipitating the need for depth at the positions.

Khaseem Greene
News
The Bears declared these players inactive for Sunday night's game in San Francisco: wideout Josh Morgan (groin), linebacker Khaseem Greene, center Roberto Garza, guard Matt Slauson, offensive tackle Charles Leno and defensive ends David Bass and Cornelius Washington.
Matt Slauson
News
The Bears have listed four players as probable for Week 5.

Jared Allen, Lance Briggs, Chris Conte and D.J. Williams should all be able to go during the contest. Allen missed last week's game due to an illness. Offensive lineman Matt Slauson is considered questionable coming into the game.

D.J. Williams
News
The Bears have ruled linebacker Lance Briggs (ribs) and defensive back Chris Conte (shoulder) out for Week 7 at home against Miami. Linebacker Jon Bostic, who is nursing a back injury, was the only player listed as questionable on the injury report for Chicago.

The following players have been ruled probable for Sunday: Tackle Jermon Bushrod (knee, ankle), safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring), running back Matt Forte (not injury related), linebacker Shea McClellin (hand), cornerback Sherrick McManis (quadricep, knee), tackle Jordan Mills (foot), defensive tackle Stephen Paea (not injury related) and linebacker D.J. Williams (neck).

Lamarr Houston
News
The Bears revamped a terrible defensive line this offseason and brought in several defenders that should work wonders against the run. The new-look line will face a rush-centric test in Week 1 when the Bills come to town.

The Bills were a solid matchup for Fantasy DSTs last season, giving up the 12th-most average points in Fantasy. However, it may be difficult finding turnovers and sacks against them in Week 1, as the offense will likely commit to running the ball with C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson.

Luckily for the Bears, their rebuilt line now features the best two 4-3 defensive ends against the run last season in Lamarr Houston and Willie Young, per Pro Football Focus. If those guys can play at that same level in Week 1, it should force the Bills into third-and-long situations regularly, allowing Jared Allen to pin his ears back and get after E.J. Manuel, a guy with the second-highest sack percentage among starting quarterbacks when under pressure, per Football Focus.

While the Bears DST aren't a lock for a big Fantasy week, they represent a quietly-nice option in Week 1. Both CBSSports.com Fantasy experts rank them in the top 10 this week, but they're only owned in roughly three out of every four leagues.

Santonio Holmes
News
Tight ends Martellus Bennett and Dante Rosario led a small contingent of Bears that played a role in their Sunday loss to Carolina. Both caught three passes - the former for 17 yards and the latter for 20.

Also catching a pass was veteran Santonio Holmes for six yards. Running back Ka'Deem Carey put himself in the score sheet with two carries for two yards.

Darryl Sharpton
News
The Bears signed linebacker Darryl Shaprton Thursday. To clear a roster spot, the team termined the contract of fullback Tony Fiammetta after reaching an injury settlement.
Charles Leno
News
The following players were ruled active for the Bears at home against Miami in Week 7:  Lance Briggs, Jon Bostic, Chris Conte, Terrance Mitchell, Ahmad Dixon, Charles Leno and Trevor Scott.
Jeremy Cain
News
The Buccaneers waived or released 12 players: receivers Tommy Streeter, Skye Dawson and Eric Page, quarterback Alex Tanney, fullback Ian Thompson, long snapper Jeremy Cain, guard R.J. Mattes, defensive end Chaz Sutton, defensive end Ryne Giddins, defensive tackle Euclid Cummings and offensive linemen Jace Daniels and Jason Foster.
Sherrick McManis
News
The Bears have ruled linebacker Lance Briggs (ribs) and defensive back Chris Conte (shoulder) out for Week 7 at home against Miami. Linebacker Jon Bostic, who is nursing a back injury, was the only player listed as questionable on the injury report for Chicago.

He's expected to return later in the season.

Robbie Gould
News
Bears kicker Robbie Gould has downplayed his teammate Brandon Marshall 's dramatic postgame rant in a radio appearance on WSCR 670-AM on Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

"I wouldn't give this any more attention than it obviously needs," Gould said. "Everyone's trying to make this a story out of something that really wasn't that big of a deal. … Obviously everyone's frustrated. Everyone wants to win. Our fans want to win. Coaches want to win. The players want to win. And everyone's obviously frustrated."

After losing to his former team on Sunday, the star wideout was heard screaming at his teammates -- including Gould -- through the locker room doors before venting to the media. The Bears have lost their first three games at home this season, matching their home loss total from each of the previous five seasons.

They'll look to get back on track Week 8 at New England.

Josh Morgan
News
Backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen and wideout Josh Morgan made minor contributions to the Bears offense Sunday against Green Bay.

Clausen completed his lone pass for nine yards in relief of Jay Cutler. Morgan racked up three receptions for 24 yards. Two of those catches came in the fourth quarter.

Also catching a pass was veteran Santonio Holmes for six yards. Running back Ka'Deem Carey put himself in the score sheet with two carries for two yards.

Will Sutton
News
The Bears and third-round pick defensive tackle Will Sutton agreed to a four-year deal on Thursday, the team announced. Sutton will work in the Bears' defensive line rotation as an interior lineman and run stuffer.
Charles Tillman
News
Bears cornerback Charles Tillman underwent surgery to repair his torn right triceps, reports ESPN.com. The two-time Pro Bowler, who is on injured reserve, tweeted he expects to spend three weeks in a cast recovering from the procedure.

Williams had been listed as probable and Bostic as questionable on the team's final injury report, but they join Briggs and McClellin on the inactive list to leave the Bears without the team's top four linebackers. Cornerback Sherrick McManis (quad) is active after being listed as questionable, while safety Chris Conte (concussion), center Roberto Garza (ankle) and defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion) are also active after being listed as probable.

The team also elevated cornerback Terrance Mitchell to 53-man roster from practice squad and waived linebacker Terrell Manning.
Jay Cutler
News
Consistency has always been the issue for Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and his performance Sunday was a good example of that how bad things can get.

After opening the season with multiple touchdowns in each of his first five games, Cutler has just two over the last two games. He completed 61.8 percent of his 34 passes Sunday, but managed just 190 yards through the air in Week 7 against the Dolphins, mostly because he could not get on the same page with Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall -- he completed just eight of 17 passes to that duo for 57 yards Sunday. That is obviously not the key to success for him.

When things are going well for Cutler, there is little doubt he can be a strong Fantasy contributor, as he showed in putting up 20-plus Fantasy points in each of his first six games. He will try to get back to that level in Week 8, against a Patriots defense that is surrendering 22.3 Fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks over the last four games.

Alshon Jeffery
News
Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who cracked 100 yards his last time out, took a step backward in a disappointing loss to Miami in Week 7.

Jeffery caught passes for 5 and 4 yards on back-to-back plays to start the opening drive of the afternoon. He was held without a grab the rest of the way. Jeffery as targeted seven times and finished with two catches for 9 yards in a 27-14 defeat. Jeffery 504 receiving yards this season.

The Bears will face the Patriots in Foxboro Week 8.

Tim Jennings

Kyle Fuller

Robert Turbin was limited to only two carries for one yard. He caught his only target for a 4-yard gain. Bryan Walters had two catches for 22 yards, while Zach Miller caught two passes for 12 yards. Derrick Coleman and Paul Richardson were each limited to one grab. Coleman had 12 receiving yards, while Richardson finished with seven.

Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall was held under 50 receiving yards in a disappointing loss to his former team on Sunday. Following the game, Marshall showed his frustration after the game in a press conference, per ESPN.

"We lost, there should be a lot of frustration," Marshall said. "You should hear frustration. We're 3-4. Yeah, this means everything to a lot of guys in this locker room. This means a lot."

Marshall was targeted 10 times and finished with only six catches for 48 in a 27-14 Week 7 loss to Miami. He has 31 catches for 349 yards and five touchdowns this season. He'll look to turn things around Week 8 at New England.
