Position Listing

Cedric Peerman
News
The Bengals received little from their major skill position players Sunday, let alone their bit parts.

Among the minor contributors was recently signed wideout Greg Little, who dropped the first pass thrown his way and caught the next one for 13 yards. Fellow receiver Brandon Tate added a reception for seven yards while running back Cedric Peerman pitched in with a five-yard catch.

Mike Pollak
News
Bengals offensive linemen Mike Pollak (knee), Andre Smith (shoulder) and Kevin Zeitler (calf) are good to go against the Colts on Sunday. They were all listed as probable.
Kevin Greene
News
The 49ers made several moves to trim the roster to 75 players Monday.

The team waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety D.J. Campbell, tight end Kevin Greene, running back Jewel Hampton, punt Colton Schmidt, linebacker Kion Wilson and wide receiver Devon Wylie, while also releasing wide receiver David Reed.

The team placed running back Marcus Lattimore, fullback Trey Millard, cornerback Keith Reaser and guard Brandon Thomas on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List and linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tight end Garrett Celek and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List. Linebacker Blake Costanzo was released from the Injured Reserve list.

Mohamed Sanu
News
Mohamed Sanu failed to make much of an impact in Week 7 against the Colts, but that might have been more the result of the Bengals' general offensive malaise than any failing on his part.

It is awfully hard to take anything from Sunday's game, as the Bengals were just out of sync all game long on offense. Sanu still racked up 54 yards on three receptions, and had nine passes thrown his way. Entering play Sunday, he had caught 67.5 percent of the passes thrown his way, so this is probably just a one-time issue.

Sanu is clearly the team's top option in the passing game with A.J. Green sidelined, but he cannot do it all by himself. Expect better from him in Week 8 against the Ravens.

J.K. Schaffer
News
The Bengals waived linebacker J.K. Schaffer (concussion) and cornerback Lavelle Westbrooks (thumb) with injury designations. Cincy also waived linebacker James Davidson and quarterback Matt Scott to reach the 75-man roster limit.

Sam Montgomery
News
The Bengals made a slew of moves Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

Among those moves was the placement of guard Trey Hopkins on the reserve/injured list with a leg issue. Rookie quarterback AJ McCarron was put on the reserve/non-football injury list with a shoulder problem.

The Bengals also cut the following offensive players: tackles Dan France and Will Svitek, wide receivers Colin Lockett and Cobi Hamilton, center Trevor Robinson and running backs James Wilder and Nikita Whitlock.

Defenders waived by the Bengals include safety Danieal Manning, cornerbacks Onterio McCalebb and Victor Hampton, tackles Devon Still and David King and ends Sam Montgomery and Dontay Moch.

Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris will begin serving a two-game drug suspension handed dowsn by the league.

Reggie Nelson
News
The Bengals defense dominated the Titans Sunday, racking up two sacks and two interceptions in the team's 33-7 Week 3 win.

Cincinnati was pitching a shutout before the Titans managed a fourth-quarter score after falling behind 33-0. The Bengals defense also notched a safety after the Titans were called for a penalty in their own end zone. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap had six tackles and one of the team's sacks, giving him three straight games with a sack to open the season. Rookie cornerback Darqueze Dennard recorded the other sack. Defensive end Robert Geathers and safety Reggie Nelson both notched their first interceptions of the season in the win. The Bengals should face a much tougher test after a Week 4 bye when they travel to New England.

Domata Peko
News
Bengals nose tackle Domata Peko signed a two-year extension through 2016, according to the team's website. Peko has not missed a start since 2009.
Tevin Reese
News
The Bengals signed receiver Tevin Reese to their practice squad. He was a seventh-round pick of the Chargers this year.
Andre Smith
News
Bengals offensive linemen Mike Pollak (knee), Andre Smith (shoulder) and Kevin Zeitler (calf) are good to go against the Colts on Sunday. They were all listed as probable.
Rey Maualuga
News
Stud wideout A.J. Green is the standout among the seven inactives for the Bengals on Sunday against host Indianapolis. But several other injured players are on the list.

They are linebackers Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) and Rey Maualuga (hamstring) and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee).

The healthy scratches are cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, tackle Tanner Hawkinson and defensive end Will Clarke.

Geno Atkins
News
Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins, who was limited in practice leading up to the game with a foot issue, is active for Week 2 against Atlanta. He was listed as probable on Friday's injury report.

Atkins missed the final seven games last year with a torn ACL. He had one tackle in Week 1.

A.J. Green
News
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told reporters wide receiver A.J. Green has made "a lot of significant progress" in his recovery from a nagging toe injury. Lewis said "he'll see" if Green will be available to play Week 8 at home against Baltimore, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Green has missed the last two games after aggravating the injury in practice on Oct. 8. According to Albert Breer and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network on Sunday, Green visited a foot specialist on Friday and received a positive prognosis. He has 17 catches for 214 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

The Bengals have moved seven players -- defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, guard Clint Boling, punter Kevin Huber, receiver Colin Lockett, cornerback Onterio McCalebb, guard Mike Pollak and cornerback Leon Hall to the active roster. They had all previously been on the PUP or NFI lists.
Trey Hopkins

Injury
Khairi Fortt
News
Two days after waiving linebacker Khairi Fortt, the Bengals have brought him back to the practice squad.

Fortt landed in Cincinnati after losing his spot with New Orleans on Oct. 6. The rookie has yet to play a down in the NFL.

Injury
Leg - IR. Eligible to return Week 9 at Carolina
Wallace Gilberry
News
The Bengals have given defensive end Wallace Gilberry the thumbs-up for the Sunday game against the Colts. He had been designated as probable with an eye problem.
Dre Kirkpatrick
News
Five notable Bengals players practiced Tuesday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports: running back Jeremy Hill (shoulder), linebacker Sean Porter (knee), cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (hip), quarterback Jason Campbell (elbow) and offensive lineman Andre Smith (concussion protocol).

T.J. Johnson
News
The Bengals' list of inactives for Week 2 against the Falcons includes wide receiver Marvin Jones (foot), running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), defensive lineman Will Clarke, offensive lineman T.J. Johnson and offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson.

Clarke, Johnson and Hawkinson are all healthy scratches.

Brandon Tate

Darqueze Dennard
News

Cincinnati was pitching a shutout before the Titans managed a fourth-quarter score after falling behind 33-0. Defensive end Robert Geathers and safety Reggie Nelson both notched their first interceptions of the season in the win. The Bengals should face a much tougher test after a Week 4 bye when they travel to New England.

Emmett Cleary
News
The Bengals placed tight end Alex Smith (biceps) on injured reserve, released tight end Ryan Otten and signed offensive lineman Emmett Cleary to the practice squad.
Mike Nugent
News
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told the media on Monday that the team will not look at other kickers this week, per the team's official website. Mike Nugent missed a game-winning 36-yard field goal attempt on the final play of overtime Sunday. He has converted 11 of 17 field goal attempts this season.
Nico Johnson
News
The Bengals announced Wednesday they signed linebacker Nico Johnson off the Chiefs practice squad. Johnson totaled seven tackles (five solo) in six games for the Chiefs in 2013.
Marvin Jones
News
The Bengals placed wideout Marvin Jones on IR with an ankle injury, ending his season, the team announced. He underwent foot surgery right before the preseason then hurt his ankle when he tried to return in Week 5.

Jones caught 51 passes for 712 yards and 10 touchdowns last season but did not suit up for a game this year.

Injury
Ankle - IR. Out for season
Onterio McCalebb
News
The Bengals have waived defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi and signed cornerback Onterio McCalebb off their practice squad.

Bilukidi has limited NFL experience. He has played in 13 games with Oakland and Cincinnati and recorded 10 tackles. McCalebb has yet to take a snap in an NFL game.

Alex Smith
News
With just two teams on bye and few teams dealing with serious injuries at the position, there aren't many needs to fill at quarterback this week. Still, Jamey Eisenberg's Week 5 Waiver-Wire column highlights a handful of names you might want to target before waivers run Wednesday morning.

Giants QB Eli Manning headlines the list of add-worthy quarterbacks, after he lit up Washington for five touchdowns last week. He was featured on the waiver-wire column last week as well. Carson Palmer (shoulder) of the Cardinals is also on the list, as is Joe Flacco of the Ravens, Alex Smith of the Chiefs, Blake Bortles of the Jaguars and Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) of the Vikings to round out the top-5.

Kirk Cousins, Jake Locker and Geno Smith are mentioned as potentially droppable options, if you need a roster spot.

James Wilder Jr.

Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris will begin serving a two-game drug suspension handed dowsn by the league.

Vontaze Burfict
News
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told the media during his Monday news conference that linebacker Vontaze Burfict is "fine" after leaving Sunday's game against the Indianapolis with a cervical strain, per ESPN. Burfict suffered the injury in the first half after hitting Colts quarterback Andrew Luck with his helmet. His status remains up in the air for Week 8 at home against Baltimore.
Injury
Neck - Left Week 7 at Indianapolis
Rex Burkhead
News
Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion) and receiver Marvin Jones (ankle) are among the Bengals' inactives for Sunday Night Football. Both were listed as doubtful.

Also sitting out are defensive linemen Will Clarke and Brandon Thompson (knee), offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler (calf), defensive back Chris Lewis-Harris and running back Rex Burkhead (knee).

Robert Geathers
News
Several Bengals who were listed as probable are active for Sunday night's game at New England. They include defensive ends Robert Geathers (toe) and Margus Hunt (shoulder), safety George Iloka (abdomen), linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (concussion), guard Mike Pollak (knee) and linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring).
James Wright
News
Bengals defensive back Darqueze Dennard (hip), defensive lineman Margus Hunt (ribs), defensive back Terence Newman (groin), offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee), offensive lineman Andre Smith (shoulder) and wide receiver James Wright (concussion) are active for Week 2 against Atlanta. They were all listed as probable on Friday's injury report.
Emmanuel Lamur
News
Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur has received the red light for the Week 7 game against Indianapolis with a shoulder injury that prevented him from practicing all week. He had been deemed doubtful.
Injury
Shoulder - Missed Week 7 at Indianapolis
Brandon Thompson

Cobi Hamilton
News
The Bengals signed wideout Cobi Hamilton to their practice squad and released receiver Colin Lockett from the squad. Cincinnati also waived linebacker Khairi Fortt.
Jeremy Hill
News
The duo of Bengals running backs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill was far from dynamic in Week 7 against the host Colts.

Bernard finished with just 17 yards on seven attempts - all in the first three quarters. Hill managed a mere 15 yard on four tries and was held without a yard on two rushes before intermission. Bernard did catch two passes - but went backward one yard for his effort.

The pair will try to turn it up several notches when the Bengals host Baltimore next Sunday.

Andrew Whitworth
News
The Bengals have ruled out wide receiver Marvin Jones for the Sunday game against Tennessee with a foot injury that has prevented him from playing in either of the first two games. He is the lone certain scratch listed on the Friday injury report.

Several players have been deemed doubtful, however, including linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion), running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) and guard Kevin Zeitler (calf).

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (knee), offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee), tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) and safety Shawn Williams (groin) are all listed as probable.

Will Clarke
News

The healthy scratches are cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, tackle Tanner Hawkinson and defensive end Will Clarke.

Devon Still
News
The Bengals added defensive tackle Devon Still to the 53-man roster Wednesday, according to the team's offical website.
Tyler Eifert
News
The Bengals have placed tight end Tyler Eifert (elbow) on short-term injured reserve Wednesday, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Eifert is believed to have suffered a dislocated elbow Week 1.
Injury
Elbow - IR. Eligible to return Week 10 vs. Cleveland
Kevin Brock
News
The Bengals signed tight end Kevin Brock, who was cut by the team late last month, reports the National Football Post.
Marquis Flowers
News
As the Bengals prepare to open training camp this week, they placed nine players on the Physically Unable to Perform list and another three on the Non-Football Injury list. All 12 players can come off both lists at any time.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins (knee), cornerback Leon Hall (Achilles), guard Clint Boling (knee), linebacker Marquis Flowers (hamstring), punter Kevin Huber (neck), receiver Colin Lockett (hamstring), defensive tackle Zach Minter (back), defensive tackle Devon Still (back) and receiver Ryan Whalen (hamstring) all were placed on PUP.

In addition to receiver Marvin Jones (ankle), who might not be seriously hurt, the Bengals placed cornerback Onterio McCalebb (ankle) and quarterback AJ McCarron (shoulder) on their NFI list.

Greg Little
News
With receiver Marvin Jones out for the year with an ankle injury, the Bengals replaced him with free agent wideout Greg Little, the team announced. Little was cut by the Raiders in late August.

Last year he caught 41 passes for 465 yards and two touchdowns with Cleveland. He worked out for the Bengals on Tuesday, beating out former Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor and former Bengals sixth-round pick Cobi Hamilton.

Andy Dalton
News
Andy Dalton and the Bengals' offense failed to get much done in Week 7 against the Colts, and it was his second game of the season with fewer than 6 Fantasy points.

Dalton, coming off a 323-yard, two touchdown game in Week 6, managed to pass for just 126 yards Sunday. He completed just 18 of 38 passes in the game, against a Colts defense that had been third in the league in Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.

This performance probably shouldn't change how anyone views Dalton; it was just an extreme example of what we've long known about him. He can be a useful Fantasy option at times, but it is asking too much from him to expect him to succeed against a tough defense without A.J. Green to throw to. As long as Green is out, Dalton should probably be avoided, especially with another tough matchup on the way in Week 8 against the Ravens.

Marshall Newhouse
News
The Bengals signed offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse on Friday. Newshouse started two of his 14 games played last season with the Packers. He will likely fill in the void left by Anthony Collins, who signed with the Buccaneers this offseason.
Taylor Mays
News
The Bengals re-signed defensive back Taylor Mays Tuesday, according to CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Financial details of the move are not yet known.

Mays finished the 2013 season with 19 tackles and one fumble recover in eight games.

Shawn Williams

Jermaine Gresham
News
With A.J. Green out over the last two weeks, the Bengals have leaned heavily on Jermaine Gresham, who was once a forgotten man in the offense.

Gresham was supposed to be phased out of the offense this season, with Tyler Eifert's expected ascension to a larger role, and that held true early in the season. He had just eight catches on 13 targets through four games, but has now hauled in 16 passes over the last two games.

Of course, Gresham had just 48 yards on his 10 catches Sunday, which exemplifies his long-term issues. Gresham has been a solid target in the passing game, but has rarely come through with big plays, averaging just 10.3 yards per reception in his career. As long as Green is out, Gresham should see plenty of passes his way, but he might not do much with them.

At this point, Gresham looks like a reasonably useful option in PPR formats, but it is hard to see him being worth using otherwise moving forward.

Giovani Bernard
News
Bengals running back Giovani Bernard put together his worst game of the season in Week 7, but Fantasy owners probably shouldn't be too concerned about it.

Bernard ran the ball just seven times in the game for 17 yards, both of which are his lowest totals of the season. Of course, he wasn't really the problem, as the Bengals had just 135 yards of total offense in the game. It would have been hard for any running back to find success with that kind of pitiful showing by the team as a whole.

Bernard played a big part in everything the Bengals do, so it isn't much of a surprise that he couldn't find room to operate Sunday. He touched the ball a season-low nine times, and should be looking at a much larger role moving forward. Despite his subpar showing, Bernard should be active in all formats for Week 8 against the Ravens -- he already racked up 110 all-purpose yards against them in Week 1.

Dane Sanzenbacher
News
When star wide receiver A.J. Green went down in the first series with a foot injury, Dane Sanzenbacher was one of the Bengals who helped fill the void Week 2 against Atlanta. After going without a target in Week 1, he was targeted four times in this one, catching two passes for 42 yards.

His biggest play was a 26-yard catch-and-run late in the second quarter. The Bengals would go up by two touchdowns shortly after that and rely more on their running game the rest of the way.

Sanzenbacher will look to remain involved Week 3 against the Titans.

AJ McCarron
News
The Bengals made a slew of moves Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

Shoulder - NFI. Eligible to return Week 7 at Indianapolis
George Iloka
News
Bengals safety George Iloka has received the go-ahead to play their Week 7 game against Indianapolis despite a groin issue. He was listed as probable.
Adam Jones
News
Fantasy owners might have to wait, potentially a long time, to see large stat contributions from Darqueze Dennard . The fit is pretty good with the Bengals, who have long assembled a cornerback army to help against opposing offenses. But Dennard's rise to the starting lineup is blocked with veterans like Leon Hall, Terence Newman, Adam Jones and Dre Kirkpatrick. The coaches even compared Dennard's game to Hall's, who has been the best Bengals corner for a while.

In time, those guys will clear out and Dennard will play a bunch, but until then his stats won't be great. We'd pass on Dennard in seasonal leagues and would spend only a late-round pick on him in dynasty/keeper formats. He's only worth a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts, too.

Leon Hall
News
Bengals cornerback Leon Hall has been deemed doubtful to return to the Sunday game at Indianapolis with a lower back strain sustained in the first half.

Carlos Dunlap

Bengals defensive back Terence Newman, who had six tackles in Week 1, topped himself Week 2 against Atlanta, leading the team with nine tackles, including six solo.

Newman never had more than six tackles in a game in 2013.

Vincent Rey
News
The Bengals listed nine players on their final injury report for Week 6 at home against Carolina.

Outside of star receiver A.J. Green (toe) being questionable for Sunday, Vontaze Burfict (concussion) is the most notable name on the report. He was a full participant in practice all week after receiving clearance from team doctors and is listed as probable. He will need to be given the green light by an independent neurologist in order to play Sunday.

Other probables include safety George Iloka (abdomen), linebacker Rey Maualuga (shoulder), offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee) and linebacker Vincent Rey (calf). Outside of Green, wide receiver Marvin Jones (ankle), who missed practice all week, was the only other player deemed questionable on the list. Defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) and guard Kevin Zeitler (calf) were both ruled doubtful for the home game.
