News
Bengals running back Cedric Peerman is active for Week 1 against the Ravens, after getting through the whole week in practice with a hip injury.
Mike Pollak
News
The Bengals have ruled out wide receiver Marvin Jones for the Sunday game against Tennessee with a foot injury that has prevented him from playing in either of the first two games. He is the lone certain scratch listed on the Friday injury report.

Several players have been deemed doubtful, however, including linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion), running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) and guard Kevin Zeitler (calf).

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap (knee), offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee), tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) and safety Shawn Williams (groin) are all listed as probable.

Kevin Greene
News
The 49ers made several moves to trim the roster to 75 players Monday.

The team waived quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety D.J. Campbell, tight end Kevin Greene, running back Jewel Hampton, punt Colton Schmidt, linebacker Kion Wilson and wide receiver Devon Wylie, while also releasing wide receiver David Reed.

The team placed running back Marcus Lattimore, fullback Trey Millard, cornerback Keith Reaser and guard Brandon Thomas on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List and linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tight end Garrett Celek and defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey were placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List. Linebacker Blake Costanzo was released from the Injured Reserve list.

Mohamed Sanu
News
Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu caught five of his eight targets for 44 yards Sunday, but his big impact came on an 18-yard touchdown pass to starting quarterback Andy Dalton in his team's 33-7 Week 3 win over the Titans.

Sanu took a pitch from Dalton during the first quarter and ran right on an apparent sweep before turning around and floating a pass to the quarterback, who made a tough reception after the only defender on that side of the field whiffed on an interception/tackle attempt and took it to the house. Sanu has completed all four of his pass attempts in his three-year career, throwing for 166 yards and two touchdowns. He'll travel to New England to face the Patriots after the Bengals' Week 4 bye.

J.K. Schaffer
News
The Bengals waived linebacker J.K. Schaffer (concussion) and cornerback Lavelle Westbrooks (thumb) with injury designations. Cincy also waived linebacker James Davidson and quarterback Matt Scott to reach the 75-man roster limit.

Among those moves was the placement of guard Trey Hopkins on the reserve/injured list with a leg issue. Rookie quarterback AJ McCarron was put on the reserve/non-football injury list with a shoulder problem.

The Bengals also cut the following offensive players: tackles Dan France and Will Svitek, wide receivers Colin Lockett and Cobi Hamilton, center Trevor Robinson and running backs James Wilder and Nikita Whitlock.

Defenders waived by the Bengals include safety Danieal Manning, cornerbacks Onterio McCalebb and Victor Hampton, tackles Devon Still and David King and ends Sam Montgomery and Dontay Moch.

Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris will begin serving a two-game drug suspension handed dowsn by the league.

Reggie Nelson
News
The Bengals defense dominated the Titans Sunday, racking up two sacks and two interceptions in the team's 33-7 Week 3 win.

Cincinnati was pitching a shutout before the Titans managed a fourth-quarter score after falling behind 33-0. The Bengals defense also notched a safety after the Titans were called for a penalty in their own end zone. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap had six tackles and one of the team's sacks, giving him three straight games with a sack to open the season. Rookie cornerback Darqueze Dennard recorded the other sack. Defensive end Robert Geathers and safety Reggie Nelson both notched their first interceptions of the season in the win. The Bengals should face a much tougher test after a Week 4 bye when they travel to New England.

News
Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins, who was limited in practice leading up to the game with a foot issue, is active for Week 2 against Atlanta. He was listed as probable on Friday's injury report.

Atkins missed the final seven games last year with a torn ACL. He had one tackle in Week 1.

A.J. Green
News
Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green racked up 102 yards on six receptions in his team's 33-7 blowout win over the Titans in Week 3.

Green opened Cincinnati's first offensive drive with a 15-yard completion and hauled in three catches by the end of the first quarter, but the Bengals offense didn't need to take many chances after shooting out to a big lead in the first half. Green finished the day with six catches and nine targets, the same totals he had in Week 1 before sitting out last week due to a toe injury. He'll be looking to reach paydirt for the first time since Week 1 when the Bengals head to New England to face the Patriots after a Week 4 bye.

Brandon Tate
News
Bengals wide receiver Brandon Tate didn't catch a single pass from quarterback Andy Dalton Week 2 against Atlanta, but he did catch one from Mohamed Sanu, who took a pitch from Dalton late in the first quarter and heaved it 50 yards downfield to Tate.

In all, Tate was targeted three times. That was even with A.J. Green missing all but the first series with a toe injury.

Darqueze Dennard
News
The Bengals defense dominated the Titans Sunday, racking up two sacks and two interceptions in the team's 33-7 Week 3 win.

Cincinnati was pitching a shutout before the Titans managed a fourth-quarter score after falling behind 33-0. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap had six tackles and one of the team's sacks, giving him three straight games with a sack to open the season. Rookie cornerback Darqueze Dennard recorded the other sack. The Bengals should face a much tougher test after a Week 4 bye when they travel to New England.

Marvin Jones

Other players who were listed as doubtful that are inactive include running back Rex Burkhead (knee), linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring), guard Kevin Zeitler (calf) and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee). Wide receiver Marvin Jones (foot) and cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris are also inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Titans.

Bengals defensive back Chris Lewis-Harris has been activated on a two-day roster exemption Monday, the team announced, as he works his way back from suspension. Lewis-Harris missed the first two games due to his suspension, and will have to be added to the 53-man roster before he can play in Week 3.
Jeremy Hill
News
Bengals running back Jeremy Hill rushed for 39 yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown in his team's 33-7 win over the Titans in Week 3.

Hill put the icing on a dominant Cincinnati win with his fourth-quarter score from four yards out. He received just three carries in the game before toting the ball four times on that fourth-quarter scoring drive. The Bengals chose to turn to Giovani Bernard on goal-line carries earlier in the game, with the starter converting twice from one yard out. While Bernard has averaged 3.4 yards per carry or fewer in each of the team's first three wins, Hill hasn't averaged less than 4.8 yards per carry in a game this season. The Bengals will head to New England in Week 5 after a bye.

Andrew Whitworth

News
The Bengals signed tight end Kevin Brock, who was cut by the team late last month, reports the National Football Post.
Marquis Flowers
News
As the Bengals prepare to open training camp this week, they placed nine players on the Physically Unable to Perform list and another three on the Non-Football Injury list. All 12 players can come off both lists at any time.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins (knee), cornerback Leon Hall (Achilles), guard Clint Boling (knee), linebacker Marquis Flowers (hamstring), punter Kevin Huber (neck), receiver Colin Lockett (hamstring), defensive tackle Zach Minter (back), defensive tackle Devon Still (back) and receiver Ryan Whalen (hamstring) all were placed on PUP.

In addition to receiver Marvin Jones (ankle), who might not be seriously hurt, the Bengals placed cornerback Onterio McCalebb (ankle) and quarterback AJ McCarron (shoulder) on their NFI list.

Andy Dalton
News
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton went 15 for 23 for just 169 yards and an interception through the air Sunday but also caught an 18-yard touchdown pass in his team's 33-7 Week 3 win over the Titans.

Dalton's overall numbers were held in check with the Bengals opening up a big lead and shutting the Titans out until the fourth quarter. However, he made the play of the game in the first quarter, pitching the ball to Mohammed Sanu, who took a few steps to the right on an apparent sweep before lofting the ball to Dalton back across the field. Titans cornerback Blidi-Wreh Wilson had a play to make, either on the ball or on Dalton, but made neither, and Dalton motored toward the end zone and dove toward the pylon before the approaching defender could close.

Dalton also went 15 for 23 a week ago but managed to put together enough big plays to throw for 252 yards, averaging more than 10 yards per attempt. He'll get a week off with the team's upcoming bye before heading to New England in what should be a much tougher test in Week 5.

Marshall Newhouse
News
The Bengals signed offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse on Friday. Newshouse started two of his 14 games played last season with the Packers. He will likely fill in the void left by Anthony Collins, who signed with the Buccaneers this offseason.
Taylor Mays
News
The Bengals re-signed defensive back Taylor Mays Tuesday, according to CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Financial details of the move are not yet known.

Mays finished the 2013 season with 19 tackles and one fumble recover in eight games.

Shawn Williams

Jermaine Gresham
News
Even with star wide receiver A.J. Green going down in the first series with a foot injury, Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham was just a peripheral part of the passing game Week 2 against Atlanta. He caught all three balls thrown his way for 25 yards, an improvement over his two-catch, 16-yard performance in Week 1.

He'll look to get more involved Week 3 against the Titans.

Giovani Bernard
News
Bengals running back Giovani Bernard scored two touchdowns from one yard out in his team's 33-7 blowout win over the Titans in Week 3.

Outside of the scoring plays, Bernard was largely held in check. He ended the day with only 47 yards on 14 carries, and he caught only one of three targets for seven yards. The running back had tallied 13 catches and 141 receiving yards heading into Sunday's game, but the Titans did a good job game-planning to stop him. Bernard didn't averaged more than 3.4 yards per carry in either of his first two games, and that trend continued Sunday. He'll get a week off due to the team's upcoming bye before facing the Patriots in Week 5.

Dane Sanzenbacher
News
When star wide receiver A.J. Green went down in the first series with a foot injury, Dane Sanzenbacher was one of the Bengals who helped fill the void Week 2 against Atlanta. After going without a target in Week 1, he was targeted four times in this one, catching two passes for 42 yards.

His biggest play was a 26-yard catch-and-run late in the second quarter. The Bengals would go up by two touchdowns shortly after that and rely more on their running game the rest of the way.

Sanzenbacher will look to remain involved Week 3 against the Titans.

AJ McCarron
News
The Bengals made a slew of moves Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

Bengals defensive back George Iloka, who entered the day with just one career interception, tripled that total Week 2 against Atlanta, picking off quarterback Matt Ryan twice in the second half.

Iloka also had a solo tackle.

Adam Jones
News
Fantasy owners might have to wait, potentially a long time, to see large stat contributions from Darqueze Dennard . The fit is pretty good with the Bengals, who have long assembled a cornerback army to help against opposing offenses. But Dennard's rise to the starting lineup is blocked with veterans like Leon Hall, Terence Newman, Adam Jones and Dre Kirkpatrick. The coaches even compared Dennard's game to Hall's, who has been the best Bengals corner for a while.

In time, those guys will clear out and Dennard will play a bunch, but until then his stats won't be great. We'd pass on Dennard in seasonal leagues and would spend only a late-round pick on him in dynasty/keeper formats. He's only worth a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts, too.

Leon Hall
News
Bengals defensive back Leon Hall recorded his first interception of the 2014 season Week 2 against Atlanta, catching a pass that deflected off the hands of tight end Levine Toilolo in the third quarter.

Hall, who had one interception last season, also had six tackles, including five solo, in the contest.

Margus Hunt
