Davante Adams
News
The Packers received contributions from several role players during Sunday's defeat to the Bills in Week 15.

Backup running back James Starks rushed for 19 yards on four carries and caught one of three targets for 10 yards. Andrew Quarless and Davante Adams were each targeted four times but finished with only one grab. Quarless caught one pass for a 7-yard gain, while Adams came down with a 6-yard reception. Jarrett Boykin and Richard Rodgers were each held without a grab.

James Starks
News
Though Packers running James Starks impressed as a change-of-pace option and, later, injury fill-in for starter Eddie Lacy in Week 14, he was back to playing strictly a backup role with Lacy full-go Week 15 at Buffalo, rushing four times for 19 yards.

And really, you should have expected as much. Week 14 was Lacy's third game in four with at least 90 rushing yards. He has not just one touchdown, but two, in three of his last five. He's back to being the first-round back you drafted him to be.

Starks, with his average of 4.2 yards per carry, is a fine handcuff option, and you certainly weren't wrong to add him given the concern over Lacy's hip, but yeah, Lacy is here to stay, putting up stud numbers even against a Bills defense that entered the day ranked eighth against the run.

Bryan Bulaga
News
Packers offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga was upgraded from questionable to probable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.

Bulaga sustained a concussion during Week 16's loss to the Bills, but by being upgraded to probable, it appears Bulaga has passed concussion protocol.

Datone Jones
News
The Packers will have linebacker Clay Matthews Week 12 against the Vikings.

Matthews came into the contest listed as probable due to a groin injury. He wasn't expected to miss the game. The club will also have Davon House, T.J. Lang and Josh Sitton. All three players were also listed as probable.

Datone Jones, who came into the game listed as questionable, will also attempt to give it a go.

Letroy Guion
News
Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion will line up on the nose as a starter in Thursday's regular-season kickoff against the Seahawks, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

"Losing B.J. [Raji] doesn't change things," defensive coordinator Dom Capers said Monday. "Letroy Guion will step in there where B.J. is. The rest of the guys would be playing where they would be if B.J. was here."

Guion was a limited participant in training camp due to a hamstring injury, but the team is ready to roll with him in the base 3-4 defense at the nose. However, the defense usually plays about 70 percent nickel, which would limit Guion's playing time if that same ratio is struck this season.

JC Tretter
News
The Packers activated center/guard JC Tretter from short-term injured reserve and released former first-round offensive tackle Derek Sherrod, the team announced. Tretter suffered a knee injury right before the season.
Brad Jones
News
Packers linebackers Clay Matthews (groin), Mike Neal (hip) and Brad Jones (quadriceps) have been ruled active for Thursday night's Week 5 showdown against Minnesota, per the team's official website. However, Jamari Lattimore has been named the starter ahead of Jones, who missed the previous three games with a quadriceps injury.

Jarrett Boykin and Richard Rodgers were each held without a grab.

Davon House
News
Packers cornerback Davon House is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season while recovering from an injury to his right shoulder blade, the Journal Sentinel reports.

"I have the mind-set, I'll be back tomorrow," House said. "Will I be back tomorrow, most likely not. I can't give a time frame. Hopefully, sooner than later. Talking to Doc (team physician Patrick McKenzie), we're going to take it week by week, day by day. But they said my improvement is where we want it to be. The good news was that I was able to start running today, which was great."

House may be able to return during the postseason, so the team has decided not to place him on injured reserve at this time.

Jordy Nelson
News
Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson recorded his seventh 100 yard game of the season in Green Bay's 20-3 win over the Bucs.

Nelson had nine catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. Late in the fourth quarter, Aaron Rodgers connected with Nelson on the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown to seal Green Bay's victory.

Nelson now has 1,433 yards receiving on the year, the most in a season for his career.

Nelson and the Packers will look to take the division in Week 17 against the Lions.

Sean Richardson
News
Packers starting safeties Morgan Burnett and M.D. Jennings combined for zero interceptions last season, the first time that's happened in Green Bay since at least the 1950s, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Every other NFL team got an interception from a safety on its roster.

"We just didn't get it done and I don't think that was a lack of ability, because the ability is there," safeties coach Darren Perry told the paper. "We just have to make sure we're consistent."

Burnett led the team with three fumble recoveries, but also paced the Packers with 17 missed tackles. Coach Mike McCarthy said immediately after the season that he wants more "impact players" on defense.

Green Bay could give a longer look to Sean Richardson or Micah Hyde, or address the safety position through free agency and the draft.

The Packers have placed the following players on the injured reserve list Saturday: Tackle Aaron Adams, linebacker Nate Palmer, tight end Jake Stoneburner and defensive tackle Khyri Thornton.
Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season

Julius Peppers
News
Packers linebacker Julius Peppers scored his fifth career touchdown Thursday night at home against the Vikings in Week 5.

Peppers picked off Christian Ponder in the second quarter and took it 49 yards to the end zone for a touchdown, giving his team a 21-0 lead. Three of his five touchdowns have been interception returns. Four of his five scores have been from 40-plus yards. Peppers became the first player in NFL history to register 100 sacks and 10 interceptions in a career.

He registered three tackles, half of a sack and a pass defended in a 42-10 victory.

Casey Hayward
News
Packers cornerback Casey Hayward recorded an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown in Week 10's 55-14 blowout win over the Bears.

Hayward was gifted the interception, as a Jay Cutler pass deflected off one of his offensive lineman's helmets and over the intended target, heading straight for the cornerback. He took advantage of the opportunity, hauling in the pick and outracing the offense to score the Packers' final touchdown in the thrashing of the Bears. The Packers are set to square off with the Eagles in Week 11.

News

The Packers selected Clinton-Dix, who was widely considered the top safety in the draft, three picks after Pryor was selected.

"Both guys were excellent players," Ryan said, per ESPN. "We would have been happy with either guy. But I took the guy who will knock your face in."

Packers running back DuJuan Harris rushed for a team-high 52 yards on eight carries in his team's 55-14 drubbing of the Bears in Week 10.

With the Packers up big, Harris received more touches than normal in the second half, eclipsing Eddie Lacy's rushing total of 50 yards on 14 carries. He entered the game with just 12 rushing yards on eight carries, so Sunday's performance will likely go down as the highlight of the season for the little-used back.
