Jumal Rolle
News
The Texans declared linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee), quarterback Tom Savage, defensive backs Josh Aubrey, Darryl Morris (ankle) and Jumal Rolle, offensive tackle Jeff Adams and wideout DeVier Posey inactive for Monday's game at Pittsburgh.
Ryan Mallett
News
Texans coach Bill O'Brien is still backing quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick following Monday's loss at Pittsburgh that dropped the team to 3-4.

“Fitzy is our quarterback,” O'Brien said Tuesday, per The Houston Chronicle.

However, for the first time since Ryan Mallett joined the team just before the start of the regular season, O'Brien linked both of the quarterbacks leading up to Week 8 at Tennessee.

"We’re going to continue to work with both of these guys in practice, and we’ll see how it improves," O’Brien said. "And hopefully, it will get better and better, and that will help our offense get better."

The Texans have lost three straight games. Still, O'Brien isn't about to pin all the struggles on Fitzpatrick.

"When you look at our tape … you cannot just point to one position and say that’s the position that is at fault," O’Brien said. "There are a lot of positions that need to play better. We need to coach better, all those different things. It all goes into why sometimes we stall offensively. It’s not one guy."

Ryan Pickett
News
Every player listed as "probable" on the Texans injury report is active Thursday against the Colts.

Studs like J.J. Watt, Arian Foster and Brian Cushing will play. Alfred Blue and Ryan Fitzpatrick were also cleared.

The club will also have A.J. Bouye, Akeem Dent, Tim Jamison, Damaris Johnson, Ben Jones, Johnathan Joseph, Shane Lechler, Derek Newton, Ryan Pickett, Eddie Pleasant, D.J. Swearinger and Jeff Tarpinian available for the contest. All 12 players were listed as probable entering the game.

DeAndre Hopkins
News
In Week 7 at Pittsburgh, Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was on equal terms with Andre Johnson for once, tying for the team lead with nine targets. It was the first time he got as many targets as Johnson in a game this season, and just as encouraging, it came only a week after getting a season-low two targets.

Hopkins led the Texans with 108 yards on six catches. Despite the disparity in targets, it wasn't the first time he went for more yards than Johnson, but the third. The first came in his only other nine-target game Week 3 at the Giants, when he had 116 yards on six catches.

Hopkins may not get the targets you'd like for a wide receiver to get in Fantasy, but he's efficient with what he gets, meaning when he gets a decent number of targets, like in Weeks 3 and 7, he's almost assured big numbers. With Johnson still the go-to guy for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, though, Hopkins also has the potential to underwhelm any given week.

He's best used as a No. 3 wide receiver in Fantasy, making him a bye-week replacement in some leagues. But if Johnson ever goes down, as he has done all too often in his career, watch out.

Danieal Manning
News
The Texans re-signed safety Danieal Manning, reports NFL Network. He started six games for Houston last season, recording 24 tackles and a sack, before breaking his leg.

Most of the other players are their extensive injury report are probable, though featured back Arian Foster (hamstring), offensive lineman Ben Jones (ankle/knee) and safety D.J. Swearinger (elbow) are questionable.

The probables are linebacker Akeem Dent (hamstring), tight ends Garrett Graham (ankle) and C.J. Fiodorowicz (foot), wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (illness), defensive end Tim Jamison (groin), wide receiver Andre Johnson (ankle), cornerback Johnathan Joseph (foot), nose tackle Louis Nix (wrist) and fullback Jay Prosch (hand).

Arian Foster
News
Texans running back Arian Foster carried 20 times for 102 yards (5.1 ypc) Monday at Pittsburgh, his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game and the 30th of his career. He's gone over 100 yards rushing in five of the six games he's played this season.

Foster shredded the Steelers for 73 yards on seven first-quarter carries. He was not as effective after that, but he capped his night with a 1-yard touchdown catch with 1:31 left. Foster caught four of his six targets for 13 yards.

Foster made a huge mistake late in the first half when he coughed up a fumble at his own 3. His second lost fumble this year, and 10th of his career, led quickly to a Steelers' touchdown.

Up to six total touchdowns, Foster visits the Titans in Week 8.

News
Texans receiver Andre Johnson had one 4-yard reception through three quarters Monday night at Pittsburgh. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick finally looked Johnson's way in the fourth quarter, and the 33-year-old wideout finished with five catches for 77 yards.

In the process, Johnson moved past Steve Largent for 14th place in career receiving yards. Johnson has 14,057 receiving yards.

Johnson shared the team lead with nine targets, his average this season. He'll visit the Titans in Week 8.

In the passing game, Ryan Griffin, Garrett Graham and Keshawn Martin each caught one pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick. Griffin logged eight yards, while Martin had seven yards and Graham only had three in a 23-20 overtime defeat.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Louis Nix

The team signed veteran defensive lineman Ryan Pickett to take Nix's spot on the roster.

Jadeveon Clowney

Jonathan Grimes
News
Texans running back Arian Foster was expected to receive his usual workload in his return in Week 4 against the Bills, but Alfred Blue actually ended up with more rushing attempts in the win.

Of course, that doesn't tell the whole tale. Foster was ineffective with his eight carries, as he rushed the ball for just 6 yards in the win. Blue wasn't much better, finishing with 9 yards on his nine carries. Foster did shine in the passing game, hauling in seven passes for 55 yards, to Blue's two receptions.

The interesting thing about Sunday's game was how little Jonathan Grimes figured into it. It appears as if Blue and Foster might be the tandem going forward, though it is possible Grimes saw more of the field than the standard box score might indicate.

Foster might not have been fully healthy Sunday, which could explain his somewhat limited role. With another week of rest, however, he should improve next week, which will only be bad news for Blue. He looks like just a handcuff option for Foster owners, given his lack of usage in passing downs.
