It's a blow to the team's pass defense, as Freeman is regarded as the defense's best coverage linebacker. In his absence, the start will go to Josh McNary, of whom Pagano said, "The guy can flat out run and cover," per Colts.com. Offensive lineman Joe Reitz has also been ruled out for Monday's game.

The team also waived/injured tackle Emmett Cleary, linebacker Shawn Loiseau and cornerback Dax Swanson.

Bjoern Werner
News
With Colts linebacker Robert Mathis out for the season, 2013 first-round pick Bjoern Werner is under the gun to get pressure on the quarterback. It didn't happen in Monday's loss to the Eagles, as Werner registered one hit on quarterback Nick Foles.

"Outside of a couple pressure plays during the preseason, Werner has done very little this season," notes ESPN.com. He has five tackles and no sacks through two regular-season games after recording 2.5 sacks as a rookie.

Chris Carter
News
The Colts have listed WR Da'Rick Rogers, LB Jerrell Freeman, LB Chris Carter, OL Lance Louis, C Khaled Holmes, OL Joe Reitz and DL Arthur Jones as inactive Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Both Freeman and Jones had been ruled out prior to the final report being released. Holmes was considered probable, while Jones was listed as questionable. The other three players are healthy scratches.

Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck got some action Week 3 against the Jaguars.

With the team up by a significant margin, Hasselbeck saw some time late. He completed 2 of his 4 attempts for 20 yards. He also knelt down once, picking up -1 rushing yards.

Hasselbeck will take on the Titans Week 4.

T.Y. Hilton
News
Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton recorded his first 100-yard performance of the season during a 41-17 win Week 4 vs. Tennessee. Hilton, who was targeted a team-high 10 times, finished with 105 yards on six catches.

Hilton almost had his first touchdown of the season midway through the first quarter. However, after hauling in a 37-yard catch down near the goal line, Hilton could not break free from cornerback Jason McCourty's tackle and was pulled down just shy of the goal line.

Hilton has now surpassed 100 yards 13 times in his career, which includes the playoffs. He has at least five catches in every game this season.

The Colts are back in action Week 5 vs. Baltimore.

Andrew Jackson
News
The Colts signed linebacker Andrew Jackson off the team's practice squad Saturday, waiving linebacker Mario Harvey in a corresponding move.

Jackson was a sixth-round pick in this year's draft out of Western Kentucky. Harvey has recorded 22 tackles with the Colts over the last two-plus seasons, with none coming in 2014.

Jonotthan Harrison
News
The Colts declared these players inactive for Monday night's game against the Eagles: linebacker Jerrell Freeman (hamstring), centers Khaled Holmes (ankle) and Jonotthan Harrison, wideout Da'Rick Rogers, linebacker Chris Carter, guard Joe Reitz and running back Dion Lewis.
D'Qwell Jackson
News
The Colts announced Thursday the signing of veteran linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who is expected to come in and start right away in the middle of their defense.

Jackson was a fixture in the Browns defense for many years, totaling at least 110 tackles in each of his last three seasons while contributing a number of sacks, passes defensed and interceptions along the way. He hasn't missed a game in three seasons.

Ricky Jean Francois
News
The Colts will have most of their injured players available Week 3 against the Jaguars.

T.Y. Hilton and Hakeem Nicks are both active for the contest. Nicks was the bigger question, as he entered the week deemed questionable. The team will also have Darius Butler, Ricky Jean Francois and Greg Toler

Mike Adams
News
Veteran free safety Mike Adams has been signed by the Colts. Adams, who started seven games for the AFC champion Broncos last season, had previously played for San Francisco and Cleveland. He recorded 48 tackles and one interception in 2013.
Donte Moncrief
News
Colts rookie wide receiver Donte Moncrief has proven to be ahead of the learning curve and could earn more playing time in the coming weeks, according to ESPN.com.

Moncrief caught four passes for 55 yards with T.Y. Hilton nursing an injury in Week 3 against the Jaguars. He even ran seven yards on a reverse.

"Form the minute he got here, we knew we had a long, athletic guy that could run, a guy that was mature beyond his years," Chuck Pagano said. "We're getting him a little bit of burn, he is going to continue to get a little bit more action as we move forward. Obviously he's got playmaking ability and again, the game's not too big for him."

The original plan of making 2014 a learning year for Moncrief has gone by the wayside. He is now considered the fourth receiver, moving ahead of Da'Rick Rogers, who has been inactive for all three games, and Griff Whalen, who is working more as a kick returner.

Matt Hall
News
The Colts have pared down their roster to 53 on Saturday by cutting 17 players and making other moves.

The offensive players on the list are running back David Fluellen, quarterback Chandler Harnish, wide receivers Ryan Lankford and Josh Lenz, center FN Lutz, tight ends Weslye Saunders and Erik Swoope and guard Josh Walker.

The defensive players let go by Indianapolis are ends Gannon Conway and Tyler Hoover, linebackers Rob Ruggiero, Kelvin Sheppard, Phillip Hunt and Andrew Jackson, safety Dewey McDonald, tackles Brandon McKinney and Nnamdi Obukwelu and cornerback Sheldon Price.

The Colts waived/injured tackle Matt Hall and safety Delano Howell and placed linebacker Robert Mathis on the reserve/suspended list.

Injury
Dominique Davis
News
The Titans dumped 20 players Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season.

Tennessee cut the following players: T Jeff Adams, CB Ri'Shard Anderson, RB Antonio Andrews, DL Chigbo Anunoby, K Maikon Bonani, CB Tommie Campbell, TE Chase Coffman, LB Brandon Copeland, QB Dominique Davis, DE Marcus Dixon, LB Moise Fokou, WR Marc Mariani, G Justin McCray, FB Collin Mooney, OL Eric Olsen, T William Poehls, WR Rico Richardson, WR Brian Robiskie, TE Jason Schepler and CB Winston Wright.
Jack Doyle
News
The Colts backups managed to play a role Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Donte Moncrief played the biggest role, gaining 55 yards on four catches. Tight end Dwayne Allen also made an impact, picking up 43 yards during the contest. Jack Doyle also caught three passes for 10 yards.

They'll take on the Titans Week 4.

A.Q. Shipley
News
Colts coach Chuck Pagano said A.Q. Shipley will remain the starting center Sunday against the Titans, despite projected starter Khaled Holmes ready to return from an high ankle sprain he suffered in early August.

"I love the way they're coming together," Pagano said of the offensive line, per The Indianapolis Star. "Anytime you can have back-to-back games and move the ball the way we moved the ball. . . I think the chemistry and the continuity of that group, I think they're gaining confidence with every single snap and every single game. They're going to continue to get better."

Jonathan Newsome
News
The Colts signed outside linebacker Jonathan Newsome, a fifth-round pick out of Ball State. Newsome spent his first two seasons at Ohio State before transferring.
Zurlon Tipton
News
The Colts have waived running back Zurlon Tipton, Colts.com reports. Tipton was inactive in Week 1 and became expendable after the signing of Dion Lewis.
Andrew Luck
News
With another four-touchdown game in Week 4, his second in a row, we have to ask if Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is the best quarterback around.

Luck was already leading the league with 95 Fantasy points through three games, and just added to his total Sunday by racking up 37 more. He has at least three touchdowns in each of his first four games, and is now on pace for 52 through the air for the season.

Luck is an obvious must-start option every week, but we will get a better idea of just how much he has improved as a third-year player with games against the Ravens and Texans coming up. Both teams rank among the 10-stingiest for opposing quarterbacks' Fantasy scoring so far.

Of course, so did the Titans, who had allowed just 35 Fantasy points to quarterbacks total entering Sunday, a number Luck topped on his own. You won't be sitting him against any defense this season.

David Arkin
News
The Colts waived running back Dion Lewis and signed defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles off the Patriots' practice squad. Indianapolis also signed guard David Arkin to its practice squad while releasing guard Josh Walker from the squad.
Sergio Brown

Three Colts defenders who were on the injury report are active for Monday night's game against the Eagles. They are safety Sergio Brown (shoulder), nose tackle Josh Chapman (ankle) and defensive end Arthur Jones (shoulder).
Josh Gordy
News
Cornerback Josh Gordy signed his one-year tender offer with the Colts on Monday, locking him in for the 2014 season. Gordy has 77 total tackles and four interceptions in 43 games.
Cory Redding
News
Though the Colts entered the Wild Card game against the Chiefs with an extensive list of injured players on the defensive side of the ball, all but one was able to play Saturday. Among the 10 players listed on the injury report, only defensive lineman Fili Moala (knee) was unable to play.

The list of Colts defenders able to play through injuries reads as follows: defensive backs Sergio Brown (groin), Darius Butler (quadriceps), Vontae Davis (groin) and Greg Toler (groin); linebackers Bjoern Werner (ankle) and Robert Mathis (not injury related); and defensive linemen Cory Redding (shoulder), Ricky Jean Francois (foot) and Aubrayo Franklin (knee).

Hakeem Nicks
News
Colts wide receiver Hakeem Nicks had a pretty disappointing game Sunday against the Titans despite Indianapolis putting up 41 points in a win. Nicks, who was targeted six times, finished with just two catches for 12 yards.

Nicks came close to recording his third touchdown of the season in the second quarter, but he could not finish off a 12-yard touchdown catch after getting his hands on the football.

The Colts are back in action Week 5 vs. Baltimore.

Lance Louis

Stanley Havili
News
The Colts put running back Vick Ballard (Achilles), offensive tackle Ulrick John and running back Deji Karim on injured reserve, ending their season. The team put fullback Stanley Havili on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning he's out for at least the first six games.

Dan Herron

Ahmad Bradshaw
News
Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw used a fourth-quarter touchdown to extend his scoring streak to three games during a 41-17 win Week 4 vs. Tennessee.

Bradshaw hauled in a 15-yard touchdown catch with 9:56 remaining to record the final points of the game. It was Bradshaw's fourth receiving touchdown this season.

He finished with 32 rushing yards on nine carries and two catches for 20 yards. The Colts are back in action Week 5 vs. Baltimore.

Trent Richardson
News
The Colts are just going to keep giving Trent Richardson the ball. We just have to accept it.

He racked up another 20 carries in Week 4 against the Titans, despite rushing for just 47 yards. He made up for the typically mediocre running performance with his first rushing touchdown of the season, along with 52 yards through the air.

Of course, his understudy continues to lose playing time as Richardson's role grows, though Ahmad Bradshaw has remained Fantasy relevant in spite of that. He caught another touchdown Sunday, his fourth in three games, despite carrying the ball just nine times yet again.

The good news is, both players seem to have very defined roles in the offense at this point. Richardson is the workhorse, whether he deserves to be or not, while Bradshaw remains a force in the passing game. The Ravens have done a solid job against running backs this season, but both Bradshaw and Richardson should be considered decent options for Week 5's matchup.
