Jaguars RB Rashad Jennings posted on Twitter that he has been placed on injured reserve with the knee injury suffered in a preseason game against the Bills. He won't play this season. Deji Karim will take over as the Jaguars' primary backup behind Maurice Jones-Drew.

Knee - IR. Out for the season

The Jaguars and safety Dwight Lowery agreed to a four-year contract Tuesday night after his agent talked to several teams during the first few hours of free agency. The Jaguars also signed versatile backup linebacker Russell Allen to a three-year contract. Allen was a restricted free agent.

Jacksonville placed DL John Chick on season-ending IR Tuesday after he sustained a knee injury in Week 14 against San Diego. Chick suffered the injury in the second quarter Monday night and had to be carted to the locker room.

Knee - IR. Out for the season

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis is active for the Week 17 game against the Colts. He was limited in practice earlier in the week due to a hamstring injury. Indianapolis ranks 22nd in the league in pass defense, giving up over 237 yards per game, and has allowed an average of 7.9 Fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

Jacksonville placed DB Derek Cox on injured reserve with a knee injury on Friday. He started seven games this season with 10 passes defended and also recorded 16 tackles during his third NFL season.

Knee - IR. Out for the season

Jaguars RB Montell Owens saw a few touches in Week 13 against the Chargers. He gained 11 yards on two carries and also caught one pass for minus-4 yards in the 38-14 loss.

The Jaguars announced on Saturday that they placed four players on the injured reserve to go along with RB Rashad Jennings. CB David Jones, DE Aaron Morgan, RB Richard Murphy, and DT D’Anthony Smith will miss the 2011 season.

Undisclosed - IR. Out for the season

While Maurice Jones-Drew continues to miss valuable offseason preparation time while holding out for a new contract, Jaguars offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski thinks it would be in the rusher's best interests to join the team and learn their new offense. "It's not helping him by not being here, he'll have a lot of learning to catch up on," Bratkowski told the Florida Times-Union. "But yet, he's a gifted and talented player and I’m sure he can get caught up. It's certainly not helping him. Whether it's hurting him or not, that remains to be seen."

The Jaguars added DB Chris Chancellor to their practice squad Tuesday.

The Jaguars have placed DE Aaron Kampman on IR. Kampman tore an ACL Thursday in practice. The team has signed rookie DT Nate Collins from the Giants' practice squad and added DT Dre Moore to the practice squad.

Jacksonville WR Chastin West caught a fourth-quarter pass from QB Blaine Gabbert on Thursday giving the Jaguars their only offensive touchdown of the contest. West was targeted a team-high seven times on the day, catching three passes for 38 yards. His longest catch was his 16-yard touchdown grab.

The Jaguars signed K Sam Swank on Tuesday as kicker Josh Scobee will be held out of practice this week with tightness in his leg. Coach Jack Del Rio added that Scobee should be fine for Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots.

Minnesota RB Naufahu Tahi suffered a left ankle injury in the Week 16 win in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Tahi caught one pass in the game for 11 yards. He limped off the field in the second half under trainer's help and did not return.

The Jaguars waived wide receiver Jarett Dillard, a fifth-round selection in the 2009 NFL Draft. He caught 35 passes for 398 yards and a touchdown in two seasons for the Jaguars. He missed the 2010 season with a knee injury and caught 29 passes for 292 yards last season.

On Monday the Jaguars released quarterback Dan LeFevour, safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, receiver Nelson Rosario, receiver Jarrett Boykin and defensive end Frank Trotter.

The Jaguars spent four draft picks on defense in April, none higher than the second-round choice on Clemson defensive end Andre Branch. Joining him are Nevada linebacker Brandon Marshall, FSU cornerback Mike Harris and Ashland defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton.

The Jaguars signed cornerback Aaron Ross to a three-year deal worth $15.3 million according to The Sports Xchange. Ross recorded 60 tackles and a career-high four picks as a starter last season. He'll provide insurance for a team that was decimated by injuries in its secondary late in the 2011 season.

The Jags have solved one of their potential free agent problems as they have signed LS Jeremy Cain to a contract. He was scheduled to be an UFA.

Jaguars middle linebacker Paul Posluszny said Wednesday that although he's yet to be cleared for contact, his shoulder feels fine and he's been cleared to participate in all other activities in the offseason. The Jaguars' leading tackler last season underwent surgery in January and expects to participate in training camp.

Shoulder - Probable for start of 2012 training camp

Jacksonville coach Jack Del Rio said Monday that LB Kyle Bosworth will be placed on injured reserve with a hand injury. It's the second consecutive season Bosworth has landed on the season-ending list.

The Jaguars made several moves on Saturday on the way to cutting down to the NFL -mandated 53 players. Among the cuts were DB Don Carey, LB Jacob Cutrera, S Matt Estrada, RB DuJuan Harris, DE Larry Hart, CB T.J. Heath, LS Jake Ingram, WR Dontrelle Inman, CB Jalil Johnson, DT Andrew Lewis, LB Mike Lockley, LB Scott Lutrus, DE Odrick Ray, and CB Terrence Wheatley.

The Jaguars placed DB Rod Issac on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. He is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Hamstring - IR. Out for the season

The Jaguars and defensive end Jeremy Mincey have agreed on a four-year contract, filling one of the team's most pressing needs. Mincey agreed to terms early Wednesday, after spending several hours on the open market. The Bears tried to sign the free agent pass rusher, but he ultimately chose to stay in Jacksonville. His deal reportedly includes $9 million guaranteed and could max out at $27.2 million. "Chicago!!! what a great organization," Mincey posted on his Twitter page. "But, Gene Smith fought for me in a Very Tough fight....PROUD TO BE A JAG!! DUUUVALLL!!!"

The Jaguars official team website reports that rookie receiver Justin Blackmon returned to practice Tuesday after dealing with a sore foot. Blackmon said his sore foot was caused by wearing new cleats at the rookie minicamp.

The Jaguars needed a kicker with veteran Josh Scobee on the franchise tag. They got one in little-used veteran Brandon Coutu. He made three extra points and missed one field goal in Week 17 last year for the Bills.

The Jaguars announced Monday that rookie LB Stephen Franklin was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. The team released Kevin Bentley to make room.

The Jaguars signed TE Colin Cloherty to the active roster on Friday after placing DL Aaron Kampman (hamstring) on IR.

Rashean Mathis and the Jaguars have agreed to a one-year deal, according to the Florida Times-Union. Mathis suffered a torn ACL last November and might not be ready to start the season.

Knee - Questionable for start of training camp

Jacksonville placed DB Darcel McBath on injured reserve Tuesday because of a broken hand. The Jaguars now have 28 players on injured reserve this season. The team signed seven-year veteran DB C.C. Brown to take his place.

Hand - IR. Out for the season

Jacksonville DB Morgan Trent registered four tackles and an interception during the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 16. Trent was inserted into the starting lineup and picked off Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck for his first interception of the season.

Jacksonville WR Cecil Shorts attended practice Tuesday, but did not appear to be working during the portion of the session open to the media. He left last Sunday’s games against Tampa Bay with a hamstring injury, and is not expected to play in Week 15 at Atlanta on Thursday night.

The Jaguars signed DL C.J. Mosley on Tuesday.

Jacksonville WR Mike Thomas had three catches for 26 yards during the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 16. Thomas, who had a long gain of 16 yards, registered six targets from QB Blaine Gabbert during his first game since returning from a concussion.

Jacksonville LB Daryl Smith collected five solo tackles during the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 16. It was the second straight game Smith has posted five tackles, as the output pushed him over the century mark for the second time in the past three years.

The Broncos released the following players: DL Matthias Askew, QB Ingle Martin, CB Rashod Moulton, DL Carlton Powell, LB Lee Robinson, WR Nate Swift and RB Marcus Thomas.

ESPN.com reports that the Bengals released QB Jordan Palmer on Saturday.

Jacksonville DL Tyson Alualu had three tackles and a sack during the Jaguars' 17-13 loss to Pittsburgh in Week 6 on Sunday. Alualu, who was active for the game after being limited by a knee injury throughout the week, collected his first sack of the season in the fourth quarter.

The Jaguars re-signed WR Clarence Denmark to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Jacksonville signed DL George Selvie and DB Ashton Youboty to its active roster Tuesday after placing two players on season-ending injured reserve. Selvie was cut by Carolina in early October.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon was taken with the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Jaguars. This is a strong young man who scored 38 touchdowns in his final 25 games and caught 244 passes for 3,378 yards in his collegiate career (35 games). Gabbert now has Blackmon to go with Laurent Robinson as his top two targets for the foreseeable future.

Jaguars wide receiver Taylor Price sustained a stress fracture in his left foot Wednesday morning and likely will miss the rest of the offseason, coach Mike Mularkey said. Price, a third-year veteran, joined the Jaguars off waivers from New England last December.

Foot - Questionable for start of training camp

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed kick returner Jalen Parmele. He previously was a backup running back for the Ravens and Dolphins.

Jaguars TE Zach Miller was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, according to the Florida Times-Union. He has been dealing with a shoulder injury. To take his place on the roster, T.J. Heath was added.

The Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars have placed the franchise tag on kicker Josh Scobee, and that Scobee is unhappy with it. Per the paper, Scobee has no plans to sign the franchise tender, worth an estimated $2.6 million guaranteed.

Jacksonville DB Kevin Rutland recorded his first career interception during the Jaguars' 41-14 victory over Tampa Bay in Week 14. Rutland picked off QB Josh Johnson on the Bucs' last possession of the game to seal Jacksonville's largest win of the season.

The Bills shuffled their practice squad Tuesday, signing linebacker Jammie Kirlew, defensive lineman Ko Quaye, and receiver Paul Hubbard. Linebacker John Russell was placed on the practice squad-injured list, while receiver Montez Billings was released from the squad.

The Florida Times-Union reports that receiver Lee Evans agreed to a one-year deal with the Jaguars. Evans was a first-round draft pick in Buffalo when Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey was the head coach there. He spent seven seasons with the Bills and last season with the Ravens. During his time with the Bills, Evans had 1,000-yard receiving years in 2006 and 2008. Baltimore acquired Evans in a trade before the 2011 season. He only played in nine games because of injuries and started two last season.

Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis, RB Montell Owens, RB Brock Bolen and QB Luke McCown didn't record offensive statistics at New England in Week 16.

According to the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars signed quarterback Chad Henne to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Henne had surgery on his left shoulder last season, which limited him to just four starts. The Jaguars also brought in wide receiver Laurent Robinson on Wednesday.

Jaguars RB DuJuan Harris was a non-factor in Week 13 against the Chargers. He gained 2 yards on two carries in the 38-14 loss. He also returned for three kicks for 68 yards.

Jacksonville promoted DL Corvey Irvin from the practice squad to the active roster on Friday.

On Friday, the Rams waived WR Matt Caddell, S Jerome Carter, TE Nick Cleaver, CB Tanard Davis, CB Cortney Grixby, WR Marques Hagans, LB Marcus Riley, DT Henry Smith and DT Willie Williams.

The Jaguars signed rookie linebacker Joshua Jones, waiving rookie running back Joe Banyard. Jones (6-foot-1, 234 pounds), who had 17 tackles for loss and four sacks for Elon last season, participated in the team's rookie minicamp recently on a workout basis. Banyard has signed with the team as a rookie free agent after the draft.

Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, who sustained an eye injury in an injury in an off-the-field incident on April 8 and underwent surgery the same day, likely will miss the three months of the offseason program, coach Mike Mularkey said Monday.

Eye - Questionable for start of training camp

As antipated, Jaguars DL Austen Lane was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. He hurt his shoulder in Week 6 against Pittsburgh.

Shoulder - IR. Out for the season

Jaguars TE Zach Potter had his most productive game of the season in Week 13 against the Chargers. He caught three passes for 24 yards in the 38-14 loss.

Jacksonville DB Dawan Landry posted seven tackles, including five solo stops, during the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 16. Landry, who also recovered a fumble, has topped seven tackles in six games this season and has 91 total stops.

According to ESPN.com, Jacksonville reached agreement with wide receiver Laurent Robinson on a five-year, $32.5 million deal, with $14 million guaranteed. Robinson finished with career highs in receptions (54), receiving yards (858) and touchdowns (11) in 2011 with Dallas. The Cowboys expressed interest in re-signing Robinson, but couldn't get the job done.

The Jaguars placed DB William Middleton on injured reserve Saturday with a knee injury, reports the team's official site. Middleton was questionable for the Week 13 game against San Diego with a hamstring problem. His season is over.

Jacksonville RB Greg Jones reached the end zone on his only rushing attempt of the game during the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 16. Jones plunged into the end zone from the 1-yard line for his first rushing touchdown since Sept. 23, 2007 at Denver.

Denver released DL Rulon Davis on Monday to make room for acquired end Le Kevin Smith from New England.
