Knile Davis
News
Rest assured, Jamaal Charles owners, there's no running back controversy in Kansas City.

The box score for Week 15 against Oakland may suggest otherwise. Charles led the Chiefs with 12 carries for 52 yards, sure, but backup Knile Davis scored both the touchdowns out of the backfield, plunging in from 3 yards out midway through the third quarter and then scoring on a 70-yard catch-and-run a couple drives later.

But it was all a matter of timing. Davis' touchdown run came after Charles took a hard hit the play before and had to be tested for a concussion. Charles returned for the team's next drive, but the Chiefs went up three scores then, putting the game out of reach. It only made sense to bring in the backup running back, who then broke a long one when a defender stumbled.

Davis wasn't even effective with his nine carries, five of which came in the fourth quarter. He gained a total of 11 yards. His value to Fantasy owners remains as a handcuff to Charles. You wouldn't want to start him on his own merits Week 16 at Pittsburgh.

James-Michael Johnson
News
On the team's final injury report of the week, the Chiefs list defensive end Allen Bailey(concussion) as out for Sunday's game. Bailey missed last week's game as well.

The following players are listed as probable: Husain Abdullah, Donnie Avery, Jamaal Charles, Anthony Fasano, Junior Hemingway, James-Michael Johnson, Joe Mays, Chris Owens and Sean Smith

Richard Gordon
News
The Chiefs report more healthy scratches than injured players on their Sunday injury report. The three who are ailing are wideout Donnie Avery (groin), cornerback Phillip Gaines (concussion) and defensive end Allen Bailey (concussion).

The healthy scratches are quarterback Aaron Murray, offensive linemen Eric Kush and Laurent Duvarnay-Tardif and tight end Richard Gordon.

What was feared is now official. The Chiefs have announced that strong safety Eric Berry has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Berry, who was placed on the non-football injury list two weeks ago, played in just six games this season.

He will now begin chemotherapy for what doctors have described as a "very treatable and potentially curable" form of cancer.

News
The Chiefs backup pass catchers did little Week 12 against the Raiders.

Anthony Fasano was the biggest winner, hauling in two passes for 30 yards and score. He hooked up with Alex Smith on a 19 yard strike in the third quarter. Albert Wilson also had two catches, gaining 27 yards. Frankie Hammond caught one pass for 7 yards. Fullback Anthony Sherman had one reception, but failed to gain any yards on the play.

They'll take on the Broncos Week 13.

He also lost a fumble for the second straight game and now has three lost fumbles in his last five games. Nevertheless, Kelce is up to 56 receptions, 747 yards and five touchdowns going into a Week 16 matchup with the Steelers.

The Chiefs also signed tackle Curtis Feigt to the practice squad Saturday.

Jeffrey Linkenbach
News
Free agent guard/tackle Jeffrey Linkenbach signed with the Chiefs after spending his first four seasons with the Colts.

Chase Daniel
News
With pick No. 163 in the NFL Draft, the Chiefs selected quarterback Aaron Murray from Georgia. Murray is expected to challenge Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray to be the No. 2 quarterback behind starter Alex Smith.

Murray will likely sit for at least a year since Smith is entering the final season of his contract, although don't be suprised if Smith still gets a contract extension in Kansas City. Either way, don't expect Murray to start any time soon barring injury.

Murray finished his career at Georgia by passing for 3,075 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 11 starts in 2013 before suffering a torn ACL in his left knee against Kentucky. He is the only quarterback in SEC history to throw for more than 3,000 yards in all four seasons and is the conference's career record holder in touchdowns (121) and passing yards (13,166).
