Thielen will take on the Lions Week 6.

Felton did well with his limited work, picking up 21 rushing yards on just two attempts. He was not targeted in the passing game. Felton will look for more Week 8 against the Buccaneers.

Bridgewater took one sack, committed zero turnovers and had a 3-yard rush. He finally showed some chemistry with wideout Cordarrelle Patterson, finding the second-year pro six times for 86 yards. Bridgewater, who's yet to produce multiple touchdowns in a game, will look to keep improving Week 9 against Washington.

Zac Kerin
News
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou.

Brian Robison
News
Vikings starting defensive end Brian Robison criticized his teammates Friday for their demeanor in the locker room during halftime of their lopsided defeat Thursday night in Green Bay.

"The mood was like, almost like some people had checked out," he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Vikings fell behind 28-0 at the half and 42-0 after three quarters before scoring two touchdowns in the fourth.

Josh Samuda
News
The Dolphins waived guard Josh Samuda to clear a roster spot for Danny Watkins, who signed a one-year deal Tuesday.
Injury
Ryan Otten
News
The Bengals placed tight end Alex Smith (biceps) on injured reserve, released tight end Ryan Otten and signed offensive lineman Emmett Cleary to the practice squad.
Chase Ford
News
Vikings tight end Chase Ford, who has been filling in for an injured Kyle Rudolph since Week 4, finally had a respectable performance Week 8 at Tampa Bay, catching all six passes thrown his way for 61 yards. Of course, it came a just week after being shut out on three targets, his only game without a catch since Rudolph went down.

And that's kind of the problem. He has a rookie quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater who, like most rookie quarterbacks, has an extremely low floor every week. He'll hold his own when he faces teams like the Buccaneers, but with less favorable matchups, he may struggle to throw for even 200 yards.

And it's not like Ford is a playmaker himself. He needs good quarterback play to put up decent numbers in Fantasy. For standard league use, the odds are against him, especially since Rudolph figures to return from his groin injury at some point.

Brandon Fusco
News
The Vikings placed right guard Brandon Fusco on injured reserve, ending his season. He suffered a pectoral injury in the Week 3 loss to the Saints.
Injury
Michael Harris
News
The Vikings have seven players on the final injury report before Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Rams. Three of the seven have already been ruled out.

Fullback Zach Line (ankle) and linebackers Michael Mauti (foot) and Brandon Watts (knee) have been ruled out for Sunday. Deemed questionable were defensive end Everson Griffen (illness) and offensive tackle Michael Harris (shoulder). Only Jabari Price (shoulder) and wide receiver Rodney Smith (neck) were listed as probable for the game.
Jarius Wright
News
The Vikings got several offensive contributions in their 19-13 overtime win at Tampa Bay. Among them, running back Matt Asiata caught four of five targets for 26 yards and rushed four times for 1 yard.

Wideout Charles Johnson caught two passes for 18 yards, and receiver Jarius Wright made two catches for 13 yards. They'll all face the Redskins in Week 9.

John Sullivan
News
The Vikings have placed 11 players on their Friday injury report, but only two have been deemed worse than questionable. They are ruled-out tight end Kyle Rudolph (abdomen/groin) and doubtful linebacker Gerald Hodges (hamstring).

Guard Vladimir Ducasse (knee), safety Antone Exum (ankle) and cornerback Josh Robinson (ankle) are questionable. The probables are tight end Chase Ford (foot), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (ankle), cornerback Jabari Price (hamstring), safety Harrison Smith (ankle), center John Sullivan (concussion) and defensive end Corey Wootton (back).

Matt Kalil
News
Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil won't participate in the team's minicamp this week, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Kalil played through a back injury last year and also hurt his shoulder.

Kalil insinuated he had surgery, saying that he got "cleaned up" and calling it "not a big deal."

Jerick McKinnon
News
Vikings rookie running back Jerick McKinnon continued to distance himself from Matt Asiata Week 8 at Tampa Bay, getting more than three times as many carries as his predecessor for a third straight game. And he once again did fine with those carries, all 16 of them, picking up 83 yards.

But his Fantasy owners were once again left wanting for more. Why? He didn't get in the end zone and in fact hasn't as either a rusher or receiver all season.

Week 8 seemed like the perfect time to end that drought. The Buccaneers entered the day ranked 25th against the run and have a poor defense in general. And yet they limited the Vikings to 19 points, six of which the defense provided in overtime.

That's sort of the problem for McKinnon. The Vikings, with their other shortcomings on offense, don't put him in position to score all that often, and whenever they do, they may opt for the more powerful Asiata instead. We don't really know because they haven't had many chances to tip their hand since McKinnon took over.

Certainly, McKinnon's performance the last few weeks has been encouraging enough for you to start him in Fantasy, but he's a better fit as a flex option than a second running back.

Joe Banyard
News
The Vikings backup pass-catchers didn't contribute much Week 6 against the Packers.

Tight end MarQueis Gray led the bunch with 16 yards on one reception. Position mate Rhett Ellison finished behind Gray with one catch for 12 yards. Joe Banyard managed to come away with two receptions during the game, but only gained 11 yards. Receiver Charles Johnson had one catch, picking up 7 yards.

The four will take on the Lions Week 6.

Rhett Ellison
News
The Vikings pass catchers failed to produce much Week 6.

Tight end Chase Ford finished second in receiving after catching four passes for 37 yards. Greg Jennings managed to come up with three catches for 33 yards. Charles Johnson also got into the act, catching two passes for 22 yards. Jarius Wright, who has been strong lately, caught four balls, but gained just 17 yards. He did have a rushing attempt, and gained 21 yards. Rhett Ellison caught one pass for 4 yards.

The group will take on the Bills Week 7.

Rudolph is the only player who had been ruled out heading into Sunday. Greenway was doubtful, however, so it wasn't likely he would suit up.

Christian Ponder
News
Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder had a tough time Thursday against the Packers.

Ponder completed 22 of 44 passes, for 222 yards and two interceptions. He did not throw a touchdown during the contest. Ponder was constantly under pressure during the game. He was sacked six times. Due to constant pressure, Ponder was forced to settle for short completions throughout the start. When he did go long, Ponder's throw wound up being inaccurate. Ponder did manage to find the end zone late, running in a touchdown with his team down by 42. Ponder had 15 yards on three rushing attempts.

Ponder will take on the Lions Week 6 if Teddy Bridgewater is unable to play again.
