MarQueis Gray
News
The Vikings have announced that the following players will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams: quarterback Christian Ponder, cornerback Shaun Prater, fullback Zach Line, lineback Michael Mauti, linebacker Brandon Watts, guard David Yankey and tight end MarQueis Gray.

Ponder is the team's third quarterback behind starter Matt Cassel and rookie first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater.

Greg Jennings
News
For the second time in three games, wide receiver Greg Jennings led the Vikings in receiving Week 3 at New Orleans. He caught five passes on seven targets for 70 yards to lead the team in all three categories.

Jennings seemed to be in sync with rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who replaced an injured Matt Cassel early in the second quarter. Only one of his five grabs, an 8-yarder, came from Cassel. His longest one, a 30-yarder in the third quarter, was also probably Bridgewater's most impressive throw of the day.

Jennings will have a whole game to work with Bridgewater in Week 4, when the Vikings host a suspect Falcons defense.

Corey Wootton
News
Former Bears defensive lineman Corey Wootton is staying put in the NFC North. The 26-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, according to his agent on Twitter.

Wootton had surgery on his right hip in January, but is expected to be fully healthy by July. He had 34 tackles, five passes defended, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 2013.
Vladimir Ducasse
News
The Vikings signed free agent offensive lineman Vladimir Ducasse to a one-year deal, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan. Ducasse spent his first four seasons with the Jets, starting five games.
Charles Johnson
News
The Vikings announced Saturday that they have signed wide receiver Charles Johnson off the Browns' practice squad. Johnson, who caught six passes for 65 yards in four preseason games with the Browns, played under Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner in Cleveland last season.
Justin Trattou
News
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou.

Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

Chad Greenway
News
Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway managed to start Week 3 at New Orleans despite a broken hand, but he didn't make it the whole game, leaving in the second half with an ongoing rib issue.

Greenway had three tackles, including one solo, before leaving. After recording 130-plus tackles in four straight seasons, he has only 13 through three games this season.

Kyle Rudolph
News
Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph, who left the Week 3 loss in New Orleans with a groin injury, will get an MRI on Monday, reports NFL Network.
Injury
Groin - Left Week 3 at New Orleans
Marcus Sherels
News
Vikings punt returner Marcus Sherels was shaken up on a punt after taking a shot from a Rams player Sunday.

The trainers looked at Sherels' side, but the team soon announced that he would return to action. The returner has yet to receive an opportunity to bring one back in the first half.

Kain Colter
News
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou.

Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

Matt Cassel
News
According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel doesn't just have turf toe, as initially reported, but multiple broken bones in his foot. He is sidelined indefinitely and could potentially miss the rest of the season.

Rookie Teddy Bridgewater, who replaced Cassel early in the second quarter Week 3 at New Orleans, figures to start for the Vikings going forward. Cassel was off to a shaky start this season with three touchdown passes compared to four interceptions.

Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

The Vikings signed first-round defensive end Anthony Barr and seventh-round defensive tackle Shamar Stephen to rookie contracts. Barr's four-year deal includes a fifth-year option and a $7.6 million signing bonus.
Captain Munnerlyn
News
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that cornerback Captain Munnerlyn is expected to be the starter at left cornerback for the regular season opener, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Munnerlyn has been listed as a co-starter on the depth chart with Josh Robinson, but Robinson has been unable to get past a hamstring strain.

Antone Exum
News
The Vikings signed safety Antone Exum, a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech, to a four-year contract. Only two Minnesota draft picks remain unsigned.
Matt Asiata
News
Vikings running back Matt Asiata, making his second start in place of Adrian Peterson, didn't do anything show-stopping Week 3 at New Orleans. His one big play was a 41-yard reception in the second quarter, but he netted minus-5 yards on his other two catches. He was the Vikings second-most targeted receiver with six looks.

As a rusher, he never gained more than 8 yards, though he had just 12 carries total, still twice as many as any other Viking. He ran for 35 yards in all.

Asiata's opportunities were limited in the second half, when the Vikings had only three possessions. They were forced to throw mostly on the third one, trailing by multiple scores.

The Vikings host the Falcons in Week 4.

Tom Johnson
News
The Vikings are expected to sign former Saints defensive lineman Tom Johnson on Thursday, reports ESPN. The deal is expected to be for one-year and $845,000 but could pay him up to another $600,000 in incentives.

Johnson, who played defensive end in the Saints' 3-4 scheme, had interest from the Cowboys, Bears, Dolphins and Seahawks in addition to the Vikings.

Josh Robinson
News
Vikings defensive back Josh Robinson suffered another hamstring injury Week 3 at New Orleans. Robinson was also dealing with a hamstring injury in the preseason.

Robinson had six tackles, including five solo, before leaving.

Vikings offensive lineman Charlie Johnson had his contract voided earlier in the year, but he eventually found his way back. According to 1500ESPN.com, Johnson has agreed to a two-year deal to remain in Minnesota. The contract will pay him $2.5 million per year.

Johnson has started all but one game over the last three years for the Vikings.

Adrian Peterson
News
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could discuss a plea deal prior to his October 8 court date, according to CBSSports.com Football Insider Jason LaCanfora.

If that were the case, it's unclear how it would impact Peterson's availability. The Vikings have said Peterson would not return until his legal issues have been resolved, but the NFL can still opt to punish Peterson based on the findings from his case. As LaCanfora notes, if the case goes to trial, it could take months before it's resolved.

Joe Berger
News
The Vikings will re-sign offensive lineman Joe Berger to a one-year deal, according to the Star Tribune Tuesday. Berger spent the previous three seasons with the Vikings primarily as a backup, but did make two starts a year ago.
Blair Walsh
News
After missing his only field goal attempt in Week 2, Vikings kicker Blair Walsh was a perfect 3 for 3 Week 3 at New Orleans. He hit a 25-yarder in the second quarter, a 30-yarder in the second quarter and a 40-yarder in the fourth quarter. He did not have an extra point.

The Vikings host the Falcons in Week 4.

Evans was the only player who was limited in practice Friday. The other six were able to participate in full practice.

David Yankey
News
The Vikings' list of inactives for Week 3 at New Orleans includes linebacker Brandon Watts (knee), wide receiver Rodney Smith (hamstring), quarterback Christian Ponder, wide receiver Charles Johnson, defensive back Shaun Prater, offensive lineman David Yankey and defensive lineman Scott Crichton. Ponder, Johnson, Prater, Yankey and Crichton are all healthy scratches.

Sendejo started 10 games last year and finished with 84 tackles and an interception.

Jabari Price
News
The Vikings have seven players on the final injury report before Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Rams. Three of the seven have already been ruled out.

Fullback Zach Line (ankle) and linebackers Michael Mauti (foot) and Brandon Watts (knee) have been ruled out for Sunday. Deemed questionable were defensive end Everson Griffen (illness) and offensive tackle Michael Harris (shoulder). Only Jabari Price (shoulder) and wide receiver Rodney Smith (neck) were listed as probable for the game.
Phil Loadholt
News
Vikings defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd (shoulder), offensive lineman Phil Loadholt (ankle), linebacker Michael Mauti (foot), and defensive back Xavier Rhodes (groin), who were all listed as probable on Friday's report, are active for Week 3 at New Orleans.

Gerald Hodges
News
The Vikings are expected to be without defensive tackle Linval Joseph, linebacker Gerald Hodges, cornerback Jabari Price and tight end Chase Ford in Saturday's preseason game, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Joseph is recovering from a calf injury after being grazed by a bullet as an innocent bystander. Hodges has a knee injury, while Price is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Ford remains on the PUP list while recovering from a broken foot, but he's getting close to returning to practice.

Dom DeCicco
News
The Vikings waived/injured linebacker Dom DeCicco (hip) and claimed  linebacker Justin Jackson off waivers from the Lions.
Injury

Josh Kaddu
News
The Eagles announced their final cuts to trim the roster to 53 players Saturday.

The following players were all released Saturday: linebackers Emmanuel Acho and Josh Kaddu; defensive linemen Wade Keliikipi and Damion Square; defensive backs Curtis Marsh, Roc Carmichael, Keelan Johnson and Ed Reynolds; quarterback G.J. Kinne; running backs Kenjon Barner (waived/injured), Henry Josey and Matthew Tucker; wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah, Quron Pratt, Will Murphy and Damaris Johnson ; kicker Alex Henery; and offensive linemen Kevin Graf and Josh Andrews.

The team also added wide receiver Arrelious Benn (back) and linebacker Travis Long (knee) to injured reserve.

Teddy Bridgewater
News
Entering the game early in the second quarter after starter Matt Cassel left with multiple broken bones in his foot, rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater looked plenty competent in his NFL debut Week 3 at New Orleans. He couldn't get the Vikings in the end zone, but he led them to two field goals in six series, including his first. Of the other four series, three ended in punts. The fourth marked the end of the first half.

Though Bridgewater wasn't bad throwing the ball, completing 12 of 20 passes for 150 yards, his mobility did the most to distinguish him from Cassel. He ran six times for 27 yards. Only one of those carries came in the second half, but again, the Vikings didn't possess the ball enough for him to have many more. His yards per carry would have been better if he didn't kneel the ball twice to end the first half.

"I thought he was very composed. I didn't see any panic," coach Mike Zimmer said of the rookie, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "I believe that he's going to be pretty good."

With Cassel sidelined for an extended period (and potentially the season), Bridgewater has a chance to make a name for himself over the next several weeks, beginning Week 4 against the Falcons.

Zac Kerin
News
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou.

Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

Josh Samuda
News
The Dolphins waived guard Josh Samuda to clear a roster spot for Danny Watkins, who signed a one-year deal Tuesday.
Injury
Chase Ford
News
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou.

Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

Brandon Fusco
News
Vikings offensive lineman Brandon Fusco injured his shoulder Week 3 at New Orleans. The extent of the injury is unknown, but according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, it "has the team concerned."
Michael Harris

Jarius Wright
News
Vikings wide receiver Jarius Wright was limited to only one catch Saturday night against Kansas City in preseason action. Wright was targeted once and finished with 14 receiving yards.
John Sullivan
News
Vikings defensive end Jared Allen (back), running back Matt Asiata (shoulder), tight end Rhett Ellison (ankle), defensive tackle Fred Evans (knee, shoulder), linebacker Chad Greenway (wrist), defensive tackle Letroy Guion (chest), linebacker Michael Mauti (knee), defensive end Brian Robison (neck) and center John Sullivan (concussion) were all cleared to play Week 12 at Green Bay. Everyone was listed as probable except Mauti, Robison and Sullivan, who were questionable.
Matt Kalil
News
Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil won't participate in the team's minicamp this week, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Kalil played through a back injury last year and also hurt his shoulder.

Kalil insinuated he had surgery, saying that he got "cleaned up" and calling it "not a big deal."

Jerick McKinnon
News
Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon spelled starter Matt Asiata occasionally Week 3 at New Orleans but again didn't make a big contribution statistically. Most impressively, his five targets tied for third most on the team, but he caught just two passes for 9 yards. He also ran twice for minus-1.

The Vikings host the Falcons in Week 4.

Joe Banyard
News
The Vikings signed Joe Banyard off the practice squad Saturday. The team has added to the roster's depth at running back with starter Adrian Peterson deactivated for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Rhett Ellison
News
Vikings TE Chase Ford, WR Jarius Wright, WR Jerome Simpson and TE Rhett Ellison were limited Week 17.

Ford led the group, with five receptions for 43 yards. Wright had 31 yards on two catches. Simpson gained 29 yards on three receptions. Ellison had one catch for 13 yards.

Harrison Smith
News
Vikings defensive back Harrison Smith, who had a sack, an interception and a touchdown in Week 1 and followed it up with eight tackles in Week 2, wasn't as much of factor Week 3 at New Orleans. He had four tackles, including two solo.

Smith had 58 tackles in eight games last year after recording 104 in 2012.

Zach Line
News
The Vikings waived fullback Zach Line Saturday. The move clears a roster spot for running back Joe Banyard, who was promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Mistral Raymond
News
Vikings safety Mistral Raymond has cleared waivers and reverted to the injured reserve, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. The safety suffered a concussion in the preseason opener.
Injury
Concussion - IR. Out for season
Jasper Brinkley
News
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer announced Wednesday that Jasper Brinkley will start at middle linebacker Week 1 at St. Louis, beating out Audie Cole for the job. Zimmer also said Robert Blanton will start at strong safety.
Cordarrelle Patterson
News
After picking up 56 total yards, all receiving, Week 2 against the Patriots, Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was looking to bounce back Week 3 at New Orleans. Instead, he delivered an even lower total. He had 61 yards on four catches, yes, but he also lost 7 on one carry.

This time, the play of quarterback Matt Cassel, who threw four interceptions in Week 2, wasn't to blame. Cassel broke his foot early in the second quarter and was replaced by rookie Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater and Patterson connected on three passes for 33 yards over the better part of three quarters.

Patterson will look to get in sync with Bridgewater at home against a suspect Falcons defense in Week 4.

Austin Wentworth
News
The Vikings signed guard Austin Wentworth to their practice squad and waived cornerback Kendall James from the squad.
Linval Joseph
