Greg Jennings
News
Vikings veteran wideout Greg Jennings said during a SiriusXM NFL Radio interview on Friday that embattled running back Adrian Peterson is wanted back by everyone in the organization, per ESPN.

"I don't know if he'll be back. I can't answer that question," Jennings said. "But what I do know is that if he does come back, he'd be accepted with open arms. As an organization from the Wilfs on down, we all want him back. So, I mean, it's a touchy subject and he's been the franchise player -- face of that team -- for eight years. So it will be a loss, a huge loss, if we can't get him back, and that's the nature of this business."

In November, Peterson was suspended by the league without pay for the rest of the season, making him ineligible for reinstatement until at least April 15. The move came after Peterson pleaded no contest to recklessly injuring his 4-year-old son last May. He is under contract with the Vikings for next season, and is set to earn $12.75 million.

It's unclear at this point if Jennings has talked to Zygi and Mark Wilf about the Peterson situation. What is clear is that the team is not allowed to communicate with Peterson during his suspension.

Ahmad Dixon
News
The Vikings declared safety Ahmad Dixon, cornerback Shaun Prater, running back Henry Josey, linebackers Chad Greenway and Brandon Watts, offensive tackle Carter Bykowski and guard David Yankey inactive for the game against Chicago.
Corey Wootton
News
The Vikings have placed 11 players on their Friday injury report, but only two have been deemed worse than questionable. They are ruled-out tight end Kyle Rudolph (abdomen/groin) and doubtful linebacker Gerald Hodges (hamstring).

Guard Vladimir Ducasse (knee), safety Antone Exum (ankle) and cornerback Josh Robinson (ankle) are questionable. The probables are tight end Chase Ford (foot), defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (ankle), cornerback Jabari Price (hamstring), safety Harrison Smith (ankle), center John Sullivan (concussion) and defensive end Corey Wootton (back).

Vladimir Ducasse
News
The following players were ruled inactive for the Vikings Sunday afternoon against the Buccaneers in Week 8: Zach Line, Gerald Hodges, Brandon Watts, Vladimir Ducasse, David Yankey, Scott Crichton and Kyle Rudolph.
Charles Johnson
News
Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater now has back-to-back 300-yard games, which doesn't mean as much for his Fantasy value as it does wide receiver Charles Johnson's. He has emerged as Bridgewater's go-to guy in recent weeks, averaging 71.0 yards over his last five games. And the targets have been pretty consistent for him as well. He had a four-target game in there, but otherwise, he's gotten at least seven every time.

Now, if Bridgewater regresses to 150 yards with a tough matchup Week 16 at Miami, it won't matter who's catching the ball, but at least in deeper leagues, Johnson is worth a look with the strides he and his quarterback have made together.

Greenway said he would like to stay with Minnesota and indicated he is open to restructuring his contract.

"[It's been a] pretty good relationship for the most part," Greenway said. "You hope that you can make that work. Being a loyal guy myself, I just want to be able to do that. At the same point, you understand that it’s a business and you have to make the correct decision when it comes up."

"I can’t really say what’s going to happen," McKinnon said. "Nobody knows. It’s the NFL, things change. All I can do is work hard and come OTAs, come back out here and compete and show the coaches I can still do what I can."

McKinnon averaged 4.8 yards per carry as a rookie in 2014, totaling 538 rushing yards on 113 carries. He also had 27 catches for 135 yards, but he has no rushing or receiving touchdowns.

Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder seems resigned to the fact he will not be back with Minnesota next season. Ponder has spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with Minnesota following his selection in the first round (12th overall) in 2011.

"Once they drafted Teddy (Bridgewater) and didn't exercise the [fifth-year contract] option, I knew my time was coming to an end most likely," Ponder said Monday, per 1500ESPN.com. "I've tried to enjoy this year and this season and we'll see what happens going forward."

Ponder didn't rule out a return, but it seems unlikely with Bridgewater and Matt Cassel still on the roster.

"[That's the] likelihood, yeah, but I'm not closing any doors. There's a chance I'll be back here, I think," Ponder said. "But I'm going to explore all options and see what's best for me and my family."
