Dan Connolly
News
Patriots offensive linemen Dan Connolly and Bryan Stork, who missed Week 7 with concussions, returned to practice Tuesday, reports the Boston Herald.
Don Jones
News
Several Patriots who were on the injury report are active for Monday's game in Kansas City, including linebacker Jamie Collins, who was probable with a thigh injury. Guard Dan Connolly (foot), defensive end Michael Buchanan (ankle) and safety Don Jones (hamstring) also are suiting up.
Ryan Wendell
News
The Patriots' list of inactives for Week 3 against Oakland includes defensive back Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), defensive back Don Jones (hamstring), offensive lineman Ryan Wendell (knee), defensive lineman Zach Moore, wide receiver Aaron Dobson, offensive lineman Josh Kline and running back James White. Moore, Dobson, Kline and White are all healthy scratches.
Nate Solder
News
The Patriots started two rookies on the offensive line Monday for the first time since 2005. Cameron Fleming started at right guard and Bryan Stork started at center; both were fourth-round picks.

Dan Connolly started the first three games at center before starting at left guard against the Chiefs. The shuffling continued throughout the blowout loss as New England sought to find a combination that could protect Tom Brady. Left tackle Nate Solder was beaten badly on Tamba Hali's strip-sack in the third quarter, then got benched for Marcus Cannon.

Dont'a Hightower
News
The Patriots should have a fair amount of players listed as questionable on the injury report.

Brandon Browner , Jamie Collins, Dominique Easley, Dont'a Hightower and Matthew Slater are all active for the contest. All five players were listed as questionable coming into the game.

The team will also have Chandler Jones and Devin McCourty. Both Jones and McCourty were listed as probable on the team's injury report.

Zach Moore
News
The Patriots declared linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), safety Nate Ebner (finger), offensive lineman Josh Kline and Cameron Fleming, defensive lineman Zach Moore, cornerback Malcolm Butler and running back James White inactive for Sunday night's game against Cincinnati.
Stephen Gostkowski
News
Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit two field goals Thursday against the Jets.

Gostkowski didn't get much action until the end of the second quarter. With time running out, he hit a 39 yard field goal to close out the half. He would also add a 36 yard field goal during the third quarter. Gostkowski also managed to hit three extra points during the contest.

He'll look for more Week 8 against the Bears.

Tyler Gaffney
News
The Patriots released six players and placed two on injured reserve to get down to the 75-man limit. Released were defensive lineman Ben Bass, defensive backs Jemea Thomas and Travis Hawkins, receivers Derrick Johnson and Wilson Van Hooser, and linebacker Deontae Skinner.

The team put rookie running back Tyler Gaffney and rookie linebacker Cameron Gordon on injured reserve.

Knee - IR. Out for season
Chris Barker
News
The Patriots have promoted running back Jonas Gray and offensive lineman Chris Barker from the practice squad, according to ESPN.

The two players will take the place of Stevan Ridley and Jerod Mayo, who were both placed on IR Thursday. Gray should replace Ridley, though it's unknown how much playing time he'll get. Barker gives the team another option on the line.

Chris White
News
The Patriots have brought back linebacker Chris White and have now filled out their 53-man roster.

White played sporadically with New England last season. He contributed to nine tackles.

Rob Gronkowski
News
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski didn't have a great game Thursday, but was still a big part of the team's offense.

Gronkowski finished with six receptions for 68 yards. He was targeted a team-high 10 times during the contest. Gronkowski saw a lot of time on the field, indicating that he's close to fully healed after his offseason issues. Backup tight end Tim Wright was not a factor in the game, leaving Gronk as the only threat at the position. Despite receiving a fair amount of targets, the team opted to go to other options in the red zone.

Gronkowski will take on the Bears Week 8.

Sealver Siliga
News
The Patriots placed defensive lineman Sealver Siliga on the injured reserve Saturday with a designation to return.

Siliga suffered a foot injury in Week 3 against the Raiders. He'll be sidelined at least eight weeks after being placed on the IR. Siliga started two of the team's first three games while recording eight tackles.

Alfonzo Dennard
News
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) is active as expected for Sunday night's game against the Bengals. The other injured players suiting up are linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (thigh), defensive tackle Dominique Easley (knee) and defensive end Chandler Jones (shoulder).
Stevan Ridley
News
The Patriots have placed running back Stevan Ridley on IR, according to ESPN.

Ridley will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL and MCL. The team has already promoted running back Jonas Gray from the practice squad in order to replace Ridley. Ridley is set to become a free agent following the season.

Injury
Knee - IR. Out for season
Nate Ebner
News
The Patriots have made OL Bryan Stork, OL Dan Connolly, WR Aaron Dobson, RB James White, CB Malcolm Butler, S Nate Ebner and OL Cameron Fleming inactive Week 7 against the Jets.

Connolly and Stork were both listed as questionable coming into the game. Ebner had been ruled out due to a finger issue.

Darius Fleming
News
The Patriots signed linebacker Darius Fleming, offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann and defensive lineman Kona Schwenke to their practice squad. New England released defensive lineman Cam Henderson and running back Marcus Thigpen from the squad.
Ja'Gared Davis
News
The Patriots signed linebacker Ja'Gared Davis off the practice squad Saturday, NESN reports. The team waived wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins in a corresponding move.
Jordan Devey
News
Patriots receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins are healthy scratches for Monday's game in Kansas City. Also inactive for New England are cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), defensive end Zach Moore, defensive lineman Casey Walker, guard Josh Kline and offensive tackle Jordan Devey.
Josh Boyce
News
The Patriots filled their entire 10-man practice squad, signing defensive linemen Jake Bequette, Charley Hughlett and Deontae Skinner, receiver Josh Boyce, quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, linebacker Ja'Gared Davis, safety Kanorris Davis, running back Jonas Gray, offensive lineman Chris Martin and defensive back Dax Swanson.
Devin McCourty

Julian Edelman
News
Patriots wideout Julian Edelman hauled in four passes Thursday against the Jets.

Edelman finished with just 44, which ranked fourth on the club. He was targeted nine times, which was second behind Rob Gronkowski. Tom Brady was able to spread the ball around to a number of offensive players, which helped lead to Edelman having a less-than-stellar yardage game.

He'll look for more Week 8 against Chicago.

Brandon Bolden
News
The Patriots are going to have a tough time replacing Stevan Ridley in the running game, and we will get our first glimpse of how the team plans to do that in Week 7 against the Jets Thursday. The primary options to replace Ridley are Brandon Bolden and James White, though Bolden would not tell the Boston Herald Wednesday how he expects to be used in Thursday's matchup.

"I'm going into this game just doing whatever they ask me to do, whether it's special teams or offense," he said.

Neither Bolden nor White has much of a track record, though Bolden does at least have one 100-yard game under his belt back in 2012. He should get the first crack at an increased role, as he received six carries in Week 6, but Patriots head coach Bill Bellichek is notoriously fickle with running backs, so he could have a short leash Thursday.

We should have a much better idea of how the Patriots' backfield share will shake out after Thursday, but Fantasy owners will want to steer clear for Week 7. The Jets have allowed just 3.6 yards per carry and 13.0 Fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, so Bolden only makes sense as a desperation player this Week. White is just a long-term flier for now.

Cameron Gordon

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Patrick Chung
News
The Patriots signed safety Patrick Chung, who was released by the Eagles last month. Chung, 26, spent his first four seasons with New England before making 59 tackles in 12 games with Philly last year.
Duron Harmon
News
Patriots rookie safety Duron Harmon made an interception for the second straight game, returning it 42 yards in the Week 9 win over the Steelers. He added four tackles, giving him eight tackles and three passes defended this season.
Danny Aiken
News
The Patriots have signed long snapper Danny Aiken to a one-year deal, reports ESPN.

The Patriots now have all three specialists under contract for 2014 with Aiken, kicker Stephen Gostkowski and punter Ryan Allen.

Matthew Slater

Deontae Skinner
News
The Patriots signed linebacker Deontae Skinner off the practice squad Saturday and waived linebacker Darius Fleming in a corresponding move, ESPN reports.
Chris Jones

The Patriots inactive list for Week 1 against the Dolphins is as follows: Offensive linemen Josh Kline and Bryan Stork; defensive linemen Michael Buchanan and Chris Jones; linebacker Darius Fleming; running back James White; and wide receiver Aaron Dobson.
Ben Bass

Dax Swanson
News
The Patriots signed offensive lineman Chris Barker, tight end Allen Reisner and running back Marcus Thigpen to the practice squad and released quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety Kanorris Davis and defensive back Dax Swanson from the squad.
Darrelle Revis
News
Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis was not allowed to participate in practice and meetings Tuesday after coach Bill Belichick sent him home for the day since Revis arrived late to the team's facility Tuesday morning, three league sources told The Boston Globe.

One source close to the cornerback said Revis accepted responsibility for his actions. He was back at practice Wednesday. The Patriots declined to comment on the situation. The Patriots were not required to put out an injury report for Tuesday or explain any players being absent.

Belichick did not make a huge announcement to the rest of the team about sending Revis home, but one source said, "The message was definitely sent. The rules apply to everybody."

James Morris
News
The Patriots have added defensive lineman Eathyn Manumaleuna and linebacker James Morris to their list of cuts.

Morris received a setback when he hurt his leg in the final preseason game Thursday.

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Kyle Arrington
News
Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington, who played through a groin injury most of last season, is set to have surgery Friday, reports the team's website. Arrington had 62 tackles, two sacks, an interception and two forced fumbles while not missing a game.

He's expected to be ready for training camp.

Ryan Allen
News
Patriots punter Ryan Allen, who was questionable with a shoulder injury, is active for the AFC Championship Game at Denver.
Cameron Fleming

Josh Kline
News
The Patriots declared linebacker Dont'a Hightower (knee), safety Nate Ebner (finger), offensive lineman Josh Kline and Cameron Fleming, defensive lineman Zach Moore, cornerback Malcolm Butler and running back James White inactive for Sunday night's game against Cincinnati.
Michael Hoomanawanui
News
The following players will not suit up for the Patriots Thursday night against the Giants: Brandon Bolden, Michael Hoomanawanui, Jarod Mayo, Dont'a Hightower, Chris Martin, Dominique Easley, Sebastian Vollmer, Rob Gronkowski, Chris Jones and Sealver Siliga.
Malcolm Butler

Michael Buchanan
News
The Patriots announced Monday they reinstated cornerback Brandon Browner and wide receiver Brian Tyms, who both had their roster exemptions lifted after serving four-game suspensions to begin the season.

To clear two roster spots, the Patriots released defensive lineman Joe Vellano and placed defensive lineman Michael Buchanan on injured reserve.

Injury
Undisclosed - IR. Out for season
Joe Vellano
News
The Patriots signed offensive lineman Chris Martin and defensive lineman Joe Vellano to their practice squad and released offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann from the squad.
Jamie Collins

Shane Vereen
News
Patriots running back Shane Vereen stepped up in a big way Week 7 against the Jets, which was the team's first game without running back Stevan Ridley, who sustained a season-ending knee injury Week 6. Vereen totaled 114 yards (71 receiving) and two touchdowns in a 27-25 win.

Quarterback Tom Brady seems confident Vereen will be able to continue to be a steady presence on offense, per ESPN.

"Yeah, he’s done such a great job for us over the time that he’s been here," Brady said. "I think dependability really sums it up, and he’s really an explosive player for us, too. It’s just trying to continue to find ways to get him the ball because he does a lot of great things when it’s in his hands."

Timothy Wright
News
After seemingly breaking out as Tom Brady's second tight end Week 5 against Cincinnati, the Patriots' Timothy Wright did find the end zone for a second straight game Week 6 at Buffalo. But he did so in minimalist fashion, catching one pass on one target for 1 yard.

It's not like the Patriots weren't throwing the ball, either. In fact, Brady set season-highs in passing yards (361) and passing touchdowns (four). He just didn't look Wright's way much when he was on the field.

That wasn't all that often, I should add. Wright played only 23 percent of the Patriots' snaps, which was actually an improvement from the 22 percent he played in Week 5. Unless the Patriots make a concerted effort to get him the ball, he's not going to be able to do much of that.

The Patriots like to use two tight ends as much as any team in football, and Wright remains on the periphery in Fantasy for that reason alone. But he's little more than a desperation bye-week replacement in his current role.

Chandler Jones
News
Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones missed practice Tuesday with a hip injury and is expected to be sidelined for about a month, the Boston Globe reports.

Jones recorded four tackles and a sack in the team's Week 7 win over the Jets last Thursday after entering the contest listed as probable. He has posted 4.5 sacks over six games this season.

Injury
Hip - Out until at least mid-November
Brandon LaFell
News
In his Week 8 waiver-wire column, Jamey Eisenberg takes a look at the wide receivers most worth adding ahead of this week's games.

The list is headlined by new Seahawks' No. 1 Doug Baldwin (33 percent owned), with Odell Beckham (68 percent) of the Giants, Davante Adams (21 percent) of the Packers, Allen Robinson (34 percent) of the Jaguars and Brandon LaFell (56 percent) of the Patriots rounding out the remainder of the top five.

If you need to drop someone to make room for any pickups this week, he also recommends possibly parting ways with the Vikings' Cordarrelle Patterson (81 percent) or the Steelers' Markus Wheaton (35 percent).

Marcus Cannon

James Develin
News
The Patriots received minor contributions from several role players during Sunday's playoff win over the Colts.

Austin Collie and Michael Hoomanawanui each had one reception. Collie finished with 15 yards on one target while Hoomanawanui finished with 6 yards on one target. In the ground game, James Develin had one carry for no gain in a 43-22 win.
Caylin Hauptmann
News
The Patriots re-signed offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann to their practice squad and released offensive lineman Chris Martin from the squad, the team announced.
Vince Wilfork
News
Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork was in the right place at not only the right time, but also the best possible time Week 3 against Oakland. With the Raiders on the verge of scoring a game-tying touchdown with about a minute to play in the fourth quarter, a pass intended for Denarius Moore was deflected off two Patriots defenders and into a diving Wilfork's arms for a game-clinching interception.

It was the third interception of Wilfork's career. The other two came in 2011. He finished Week 3 with three tackles, including one solo.

Casey Walker
News
Patriots receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins are healthy scratches for Monday's game in Kansas City. Also inactive for New England are cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder), defensive end Zach Moore, defensive lineman Casey Walker, guard Josh Kline and offensive tackle Jordan Devey.
Tavon Wilson
News
According to ESPN Boston, the following players are not expected to dress for the Patriots Friday night against Philadelphia: wide receiver Aaron Dobson, safety Tavon Wilson, safety Kanorris Davis, tight end D.J. Williams, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, linebacker Cameron Gordon, linebacker Jerod Mayo, linebacker Ja'Gared Davis, linebacker James Anderson, center Bryan Stork, offensive tackle Chris Martin, defensive tackle Dominique Easley, wide receiver Jeremy Gallon, tight end Rob Gronkowski, defensive tackle Ben Bass, defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, defensive tackle Chris Jones, running back Tyler Gaffney, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard  and defensive tackle Sealver Siliga.
Brandon Browner

Jimmy Garoppolo
News
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady popped up on the injury report as a limited participant in practice because of an ankle injury he suffered on Friday, the Boston Herald reports.

Brady was officially labeled questionable for Week 6 at Buffalo. He is coming off a bounce-back 292-yard, two-touchdown performance Week 5 against the Bengals. Brady has not missed a game since tearing his ACL in 2008. If he can't start, head coach Bill Belichick will turn to rookie Jimmy Garoppolo for the start.

Jonas Gray
News
The Patriots opted to use Jonas Gray as their backup running back Thursday against the Jets.

Gray was promoted from the practice squad prior to the contest. He received three carries, gaining 12 yards. Gray was not targeted in the passing game. He'll look to contribute more Week 8 against the Bears.

Kona Schwenke
News
The Patriots signed linebacker Darius Fleming, offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann and defensive lineman Kona Schwenke to their practice squad. New England released defensive lineman Cam Henderson and running back Marcus Thigpen from the squad.
James White

Tom Brady
News
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady acknowledged Wednesday he has to do a better job of using his mobility to extend plays.

"It's never really been something I've been great at, extending plays," Brady said in a press conference at Gillette Stadium, per Boston.com. "I see some of these players -- whether it be Russell Wilson, or Aaron Rodgers, or Jay Cutler does it, Alex Smith does it -- the really mobile quarterbacks that do a great job for their team. Ben Roethlisberger's done it for a lot of years.

"Just trying to understand how I can help our team more. If I can make some more of those plays, I think it would really help our team, so I try to focus on that a little bit. Coaches talk about it. And I think there could be more of those, too. I don't think instinctually it's there for me yet. I'm going to keep working at it."

Brady said he is working on becoming a more mobile quarterback.

"I think there's mental parts and there's physical parts," he said. "The mental part is just to keep working on your leg strength, your ability to move when you need to move, to be able to get away from people. I think for me, it's sometimes more of a mental issue. I joke all the time, I don't have one cell in my body that ever tells me to run. I think I just sit there and kind of go, 'Wow, I've got more time to throw than usual.'"

Dominique Easley

Logan Ryan
