He finished 27 of 40 for 237 yards, two touchdowns to Graham and a costly pick-six by safety Tashaun Gipson off an overthrow in the second quarter.

He took advantage of single coverage on Graham late in the that quarter and beyond. Brees threw a 9-yard touchdown to his favorite target with three seconds remaining in the half to cut the deficit to 16-10 and found him again for a 1-yarder six minutes into the third to give his team its first lead.

Marques Colston
News
Saints coach Sean Payton doesn't seem overly concerned wide receiver Marques Colston had zero catches during a Week 2 loss at Cleveland, according to ESPN. Payton acknowledged that a receiver having a quiet day in the Saints' offense is normal since the team has plenty of options on offense.

"We got a lot of sub-packages, but I thought by and large we threw it pretty well. The targets sometimes are going to be different," Payton said. "Jimmy (Graham) ended up having one of his better games. That happens with our offense. I thought Kenny Stills was able to have an impact coming back. [Robert] Meachem had some big plays for us. I thought as that game went on Drew [Brees] did a good job of finding the matchups that were advantageous to us."

It didn't help Colston that his playing time was cut from 64 snaps in Week 1 to 41 snaps Sunday.

"We felt he played too many the week prior," Payton explained. "Managing the amount of snaps these guys get and trying to keep them from getting north of 50, for instance. We have depth there. Obviously Brandin (Cooks) received more snaps yesterday. That’s something that we will pay attention to each week."
